The GR Yaris is one of those rare cars, affordable but desirable. Something Toyota hasn't been able to do since the Celica days back in 1990s. I'm personally drawn more towards the wolf in sheep's clothing type of cars, but the yellow and black accents on white do look great and that performance is frankly astounding from a three cylinder. I'm starting to want one!

Power set up would be in the golfs favour although getting the power from a 3 cylinder it's not science anymore it hocus pocus type shit going on!!
@@iWubmusic I’ve got one and Golf R still gaps the GR , on the bends though the GR is quicker but Golf catches on the straight… stock obviously
I am impressed with not only the power but also the sound you managed to extract out of it!! At times it sounds like RB26 engine from Nissan Skyline!! Good job!
Luke asked a good question "whats next?" and Josh gave a great answer of getting costs down. I would buy a lot of bits for my GR but won't be spending £1k on an induction kit etc. £600 on a rear seat delete kit etc. If some of the bits become more reasonable I will start opening my wallet am I am sure others feel the same.

I’d look at remap, once someone cracks the ECU or when TRD offer SW upgrades as they have been mentioning
@@gaycha6589 I would do that straight away but nobody will crack the ecu, they never do with Toyotas. A tuning box isn't the one and a Syvecs or Motec is £5k+

My Mod List: Ive got a Yaris Its a 1.5l Big Block with some piston blowby keeping good lubrications in both sides of the piston. The clearcoat and paint fell off making it lighter I took the rear seat off for some additional weight reduction aswell as to fit more of my constructions tools in the back.
Man sounds like I will use mine if I get it. Never thought I would finance a car but this . Yea I might sign my life away lol

@@Birmingham_racing Its pretty easy to build a 1200hp+ street 4cyl today - has been for at least 8 to 10 years. 1000whp 1.6L setups existed back in 2005 - today you can buy an off the shelf 1000whp+ 2.4L 4cyl for pretty cheap Hell guys have been making 800whp with oem F20c motors for more than a decade 2L 4cyl oem rotating assembly. That would be a 600whp 3cyl 1.5L lol Tuning resolution and fuels have come a long way - as well as oem rod/pin strength The new oem turbo motors are pretty stout

@@tracktimevideos5164 Very aware - the L15B7s 1.5Ls in Hondas are holding 500whp from standard engines as are the K20c1 2Ls holding 640whp F20c holding 803whp standard engine from a 2L
we'll see in a year or more that 500hp is anything but mindblowing for this engine

@@opadilla123 i didn't say good for daily lol . but look at 2jz . 6cyl 3liter . now divide by 2 . the 2jz record is 2600hp i believe. i know comparing apples and oranges . i just wouldn't be suprised if we see 1000 hp in the future. even that isn't realy mindblowing because that's all been done before with small engines

With them vents on the front right under the bonnet should have vented the end of the bonnet to aid air flow for keeping engine bay cool would push all the heat rite up the windscreen

I can’t wait to see what the aftermarket cooks up for the GR Corolla.
I just hope the clutch/map from them can be fitted to a GR Yaris without affecting the warranty, that’d be sweet.
Remember reading Max Power in the the early -mid 90's and 2litre 4 pot Seirra Cosworths were making 500hp.

Not much will beat the fun driving a high powered manual hot hatch. I went from a stage 2 dsg Mk7 Golf R to an Audi S1 (now hybrid turbo stage 3) and the S1 is just so much more fun because of the manual gearbox. These yaris' look fun!

Valve springs are surely done and head studs. No one else can reliably get at this power without those. Notice Garage, Maxx Performance and Ekanoo are open about this.

One thing that surprises me is how many 3 cylinder cars sound crap yet as a biker just about every triple motorbike sounds amazing
3 cylinder engines sound like inline sixes, which sound like shit unless they are screamers or diesels. You really need 8-10k rpm for a 3 cylinder to sound/feel like a performance engine
