You're not supposed to get close to them, but the one time I was on a canoe trip in Algonquin just me and my dad, and we were paddling through a lake that narrowed into a marsh and then a stream. There was only one way to go, and there was a moose floating in the water, just munching on the lilies or whatever. We had to paddle right by it, got within three feet of it. Can't describe how incredible that felt. Happened circa 15 years ago, and I still remember it like yesterday. Same trip, we had otters follow alongside our canoe through one of the streams. Algonquin is something else.

I was watching another person's trail cam vid, about wildlife walking back and forth over a log bridge, and the wild cat (possibly also a lynx?) in that vid was the only creature who really * saw * the camera and came up to it. Now that I've seen two separate wildcats do the same thing in two people's videos it confirms things about their intelligence, curiosity and observational skills as opposed to other wildlife..

I love watching the bears. They seem so curious and playful and fearless. It's interesting that I've never, in watching a bunch of these trail cams, heard a wolf howl, or make any sound, really. I know these are mainly coyotes or wolf coyote hybrids. I've never even heard them yip or bark, but there was one moment where they were whimpering, noticing something when they got close to camera.
@DCGARR3 жыл бұрын
Surprisingly the smaller the pack size the less they do it, since a howl is a very large sound it attracts attention and is usually only used by larger packs as a way of gathering a large number of individuals quickly for a hunt or social activity

at 4:10 of the video....a pine marten!!! I wasn't expecting to see one. Great catch on your camera there. We have fisher here in Wisconsin, and plenty of those. At 13:35 is that a bobcat or a lynx? Looks like a bobcat i think. Edit: i got my answer- it was a bobcat, because at 30:54 is a Lynx and there is no doubt a difference between the two. Wow...great footage!!! Nothing better than nature!!! Beautiful moments. I've enjoyed these...thank you for sharing!❤
No annoying intro or outro, no annoying music. Its peaceful
Yeah wonder why so many 👎🏼
Agreed. However, after a while it did get monotonous. We need an elk reading the newspaper, or a wolf calling his bookie to liven things up around here.
Love it ❤️
This video would be much much better with extremely loud dubstep over it.
I love to hear the birds, the leaves, the splashes ! These are amazing images... are there ELK and Moose?
Someone should get these trail cam videos into our nursing/senior homes. They can be watched and re-watched and still be exciting for folks who can do very little.
A Caldwell, Good idea 🙂
It’s exciting for me. This is something most ppl can’t see.
And then we can watch reruns of the old commercials HELP! I'VE FALLEN AND I CANT GET UP!
Oh no, now I feel I need to give them up! lol. I'm still young, and can't stop watching. ; )
They have computers there
Thanks for not adding obnoxious music, there’s enough noise in the world, this is peaceful, excellent video!
You are spot on! I am completely disgusted with any "background music ".
Add me to the list of those who abhor stupid background music in videos. Nature sounds are the best music.

@@user-eb4mo7ps4e - Wow, very pretty handwriting, (I know, you have special keyboard), or whatever you’d want to call it. Arabic? If so, as-salaam 'alaykum. I very much would like to know what you just said.
Nature in it's pure and natural glory, simply incredible images and sounds.
Somehow this was in my recommended and I have fallen into some sort of trail cam rabbit hole, I’ve been watching them for 2 straight hours. Absolutely fascinating! I also have a complete obsession with moose, never really got a sense of how large they were until I watched these videos! lol.
Kaeliana B I LOVE the moose. I would love to see one in real life.
we're all here for the moose.
The same exact thing just happened to me 😄
You're not supposed to get close to them, but the one time I was on a canoe trip in Algonquin just me and my dad, and we were paddling through a lake that narrowed into a marsh and then a stream.
I'm down that hole also. Found and subscribed to three new trail cam channels!
The moose are always very elegant, the rabbits run around like crackheads, and the wolves...well they pee on everything..
I imagine he's late for tea with the Mad hatter.
The deer may be a bit paranoid as well. Lol
The first bear is clearly drunk.
The bobcats and the otters are spectacular!
Hi Kevin, your grandmother told me about your videos and I think they’re incredible! I am going to show them to the residents where I work. I know there are many people there who will appreciate seeing native wildlife on the big screen. Terrific visual stimulation for our nursing home residents also. Keep up the good work!
Okay thanks! Sounds good. Glad to help keep the residents happy
@@kevinjeffery Waiting for trail cam 2020 and 2021 to drop.
@@kevinjeffery l'm from Australia and l really enjoy watching all the different creatures we don't have here. Beautiful.
@@adamcooper1898 Adam, maybe you can make some videos from Australia so we can see what we don't have here?
@@Michael-ut1lgWe probably have the most unique diverse creatures in the World being an isolated Continent, l had some Gorgeous Yellow crested cockatoos today on front fence actually and Ring tailed and Brush tailed possums daily which are very different from your Opossum. Wallabies also live next door on the Golf course.
One thing I learned about this video is that moose are freaking huge
Some of the bears are huge too.
You hit a deer going fast and your car will be gone. You hit a moose going fast... You and your car will be gone
I saw a moose once it was fucking scary
You don't know how big till you see one in real life. The first few pics in this video was of a female (and a calf). The males are much bigger and have a big rack of antlers. A male was shown as well.
They are so big they look fake. Its unreal
This is my cat's favorite video. We've been watching it for years.
From the bottom of my heart, Thank You for your acute knowledge in camera placement...you did not learn that overnight!! Thanks for no voice; no music! I sat quietly calm..it felt like home and my childhood running wild in the woods of Wisconsin!! What a gift...none finer!
Interesting how none of the animals really encounter each other at the same time but go by the same path many times
they probably avoid each other for the most part
The deer are practicing social distancing
They can smell and hear each other from a long way off and give each other space to avoid conflict.
Kage261 yeah, that coyote pair caught scent of something huntable.
Moose are the big boys in this habitat here . It's their ambience. Is no grizzleys, brown or wolves here.
After buying a Trail Camera to catch wallabies eating my wife's garden here in Australia, I now like to watch trail vids from the Canadian wilds. Top stuff, thanks.
@Krypto Analyst Yes it has. There are about 100+ cases in Australia with only a few deaths so far.
@Krypto Analyst Oh no - Tom Hanks & his wife have caught it while making a movie down here. They are now in hospital on the Gold Coast for observation.
Krypto Analyst no toilet paper either!!
Id love to watch wallaby etc footage if you have any. I'm in southern NSW but dont get out much. Blessings, Dot
happy watching from your friendly Canucks who love koala watching just as much!
Those bears scratching their backs is hilarious
I think it needs some kind of medication as the hair is missing.
I love the bear playing at 35:10, he's got the zoomies, then picks up a stick like he's playing fetch
This is lovely and soothing to watch wild life up close in their natural habitat. Really liking that you kept the sounds of nature 👍😊
Those moose are amazing. They remind me of horses. I love how the date, time and temperature are recorded. Nice.
I wonder if you raised a moose from a baby, if you could ride it?
@@carolv8450 no, many people though out history have tried it and failed.
Wonderful to see the wolves searching at night. Good idea records temperature, date and moonlight
@Melinda Pelfrey Most of the world uses metric. O is freezing, 100 is water boiling.
yup, that's what most trial cams do... they were made for hunters, so that they could know when the animal (a deer for example) comes through their hunting spot... they sell boatloads of these contraptions to hunters..
I could sit and watch these videos all evening. In fact I just have.
We are old and love to watch your videos and have watched more than once. Thank you
This is an excellent video showing lots of cams. And thanks for not adding music. Best I've seen.
What amazed me was how tall the bears were when they stood up. Thanks for posting, greetings from Alberta.
Very cool my kids and I watch these endlessly 😊thanks
The baby moose are the freaking cutest. And, the cubs and that bobcat awww love everything. Thank you Algonquin Park!
You hurt the little bears feelings.
I can't believe how large the moose and bears are, truly awesome
That's what I was thinking. I had to look up how tall a moose is.
@ now i have to look up how tall a moose is!😊
Black bears are bigger up north than down south. But they're rather small compared to brown bears, especially the coastal brown bears.
@@GuantanamoBayBarbie2 brown bears just should not be trifled with.
7ft + antlers
Beaver floating construction materials, 12:08. Awesome.
Oh! Thanks 👍 I wondered what that was!
Beavers are why half these creatures flourish
Can’t got enough of this!!! 🐿🦦🦔🦡🦥🦨🦝🐇🕊🐕🦌
The bunny racing through the path at night, must've been wonderful having the woods all to him or herself.
No music, recorded time, date, temperature, so many things done right. Thank you
The sounds of birds whistling in trees is one of nature's greatest gifts.
The lynx at 31:00 is AWESOME! Fist bump, Jeffrey!
JC Kyhn Lol! I think I screamed “Omg! A Canadian lynx!”
I just made a comment saying the bears are my favorite but I now wish to revise that statement to the lynx. So cool!
Got a good sniff of the hand that placed it
I was watching another person's trail cam vid, about wildlife walking back and forth over a log bridge, and the wild cat (possibly also a lynx?) in that vid was the only creature who really * saw * the camera and came up to it. Now that I've seen two separate wildcats do the same thing in two people's videos it confirms things about their intelligence, curiosity and observational skills as opposed to other wildlife..
Carissa Conti I think it speaks to their sense of sight and hearing. I thought maybe it was the sense of smell that made him check it out. But upon further research it was probably a mechanical noise of a glare of the Lens that made him check it out.
I got into this rabbit hole of watching trail cams and I'm really so happy just to find one where it's just straight to cam footage.
Thank you for posting these wonderful videos. I told my husband that Algonquin Park has moved up to the top of the vacation list.
Amy Dale 😄😄😄 I said the exact same thing to my husband a few minutes ago!
In September end more beautiful.
no need to share that. It wakes up herd instinct in humans. Animals won’t appreciate that.
Wonderful video. I have been going to Algonquin since I was a child. I always knew there was a very diverse list of wildlife but since many are very elusive or nochternal, I have seen very few in the wild. This is so fulfilling to watch. Thank you !
so dope that youtube recommended me this its literally so entertaining
Those animals know that camera is there, especially the wolves. Fantastic video. Thanks.
this is the animal time square from algonquin 🙂 amazing camera shoots. Could watching for hours. Absolutly phantastic.
I've seen this video twice at different times, and liked it just as much
This is so enjoyable! Truly fun to watch. Thank you! I giggle at the bears getting their back scratches. And wow all the animals are spazes sometimes. Lol It's a privilege to see these creatures in their own world. Thank you again! Love love.
A wolf with a collar on it at 31:25 . Very interesting. Also love seeing the grown of the moose antlers as we progress through the summer and autumn.
Took awhile but I figured out Marten was the name of the animal . And thank you for saying it was a Bobcat . I was torn like you .
THANK YOU VERY MUCH Kevin Jeffery for posting this delightful, and oh so comforting footage.... Back in the day, I used to go camping all over Ontario, this is like HOME to me!..... Thank you so much for sharing a part of your world, this area you are filming has such a great variety of animals that I had never had the opportunity to watch.
Eastern Coyotes & Eastern Wolves - so close to hybridization zone - some look like the eastern Wolf / eastern Coyote hybrid. Great footage!
We've just returned from Sequoia Nat'l Park. You've lessened our withdrawal intensities. Grazi!!!

The lone bear cub hurts my heart. 😔😔
looks like he's been hurt, too. We have a three legged bear in our town that hangs around the small river going into our marina. Been there for years. Can't compete up mtn. with the bigger, older, nasty bears.

Nature is unforgiving.
Omg yes :( poor little one, I was imaging being him, maybe lost from mom and siblings, alone scared and injured. My heart..
It's beautiful to see a moose laying right next to the camera, and the bears swimming and scratching on the trees.

These moose remind me of me going Into the kitchen and forgetting why I’m there.
Mainspring Guerrilla That is funny! Other than you, however, they know exactly where they’re up to. (No offense!)
Magnificent wildlife! Moose have the longest legs. Enjoyed seeing the young ones. Deer are so graceful. The bears were huge. Great to see the bobcat. My favorite wild cat. The porcupine was adorable.
Yes ! The porcupine is fabulous ! What a funny little creature.
Such beautiful wildlife! The colouration of the Wolf around 26 minutes in is incredible. I also love seeing the Lynx at 31 minutes, I caught a glimpse of one for a brief moment last year, in Algonquin’s backcountry. I just saw their back legs and tail disappear into the bush as I rounded a bend in the trail. I spent lots of time tracking Wolves on that trip, and though I heard them howl close by I never got to see one. Thanks for sharing these videos! I would love to know the area they’re from, some of the scenes look familiar
This is the best trail cam footage I've seen yet

Wonderful wildlife viewing. Thank you for not adding music or commentary!
My parents used to take me camping at Algonquin Park when I was a kid in the 50's and 60's there were so many lakes and camp ground there. The water was so clear and warm to swim in. It was simply gorgeous there. Wow those wolfs were huge and the moose and baby were cool to see. Great video. Thankyou❤
31:58 the wolf with the tracking collar. Really enjoying the wild animals doing their thing. Thank you!
May all the animals in this video be protected and live a long life!
Hear, Hear! 🌹
Well, in that case, some would starve to death, since they eat each other.
That bear is always looking to ear that baby moose or dear.....their favorite meat dish...served with some Fava beans and a nice Chianti. ! Lol..
Mike ...your jot way off but most all animals will die a pretty terrible death ...its why its the wild ..always made me wonder about ppl who are anti hunters ..truthfully and honestly the most fast and humane way this happens ..not starving to death or torn apart ..just a reality is all
