Why was the concrete in the tank not insulated? Concrete releases large amounts of lime into the water, especially when the pH value is below 7. Then you should seal the basin with epoxy resin. But I hope for you that everything still works. Great job!

Pretty sweet but I can't imagine it'd stand the test of time. In the pool industry free standing walls are 1 foot thick with steel reinforcements.
Dude, I have an above ground pool, 18' across and about 6600 gallons. Definitely isn't a foot thick of wall. Maybe a couple inches.

I wish I had a dad
We really have our own specializations. He makes it looks easy to build a house with that kind of brick, if you have the funds. Seems that can stand against the test of time too. Though if it's me I would relocate the grass/es (Other living beings on the way) rather than stomping them, but that's just me. For a guilt free build. And rubber grommets? for those sharp edges to make me and my eyes at ease, otherwise that's awesome build and nice hobby? Long live so that the fishes has long lives too.

How would/does this above ground aquarium hold up through the seasons - i.e winter? And how how do the Koi fare with it being iabove ground in cold temps? Perhaps not a valid question if you’re located somewhere warm/mild all year😊. Great work!! 👍🏻
