@@TravaillesDuChanson same! Though I'm not sure how it'd work with Angeal, it'd still be cool to see. I think this moment was the only time I didn't fear Sephiroth in a boss fight. I was way too pumped with the two best bois on the same team. I remember my only reaction being, "oh hell yeah! Let's effing go!!"
I really wished that moment were saved for Part 3’s climax…
So Zack's limit break is to sheath the 40 lb sword and start throwing hands... And it does more damage than the sword. Zack is a unit.

That's because Zack is a first class soldier so he's train in arm and unarmed combat Cloud wasn't he just inherited Zack style and imitated his sword techniques not saying Cloud isn't strong but Zack is on a whole other level

I like how Sephiroth doesn’t give a F*** about how many people he’s up against, just has that confidence/arrogance to go in. Such a great villain, one of my favorites in any game

The ONE time it falters is in the final battle alongside Aerith when he seems genuinely a little annoyed at her interference. "I underestimated you..."
Cloud isn't ordinary, he naturally has very high endurance and super strength. And don't forget Sephiroth was already wounded and more importantly, still human.
@@katerinakats6911I wouldn't say super strength, but more it was adrenaline and that he was trained as an infantry soldier still so he's probably above average. But the people in this universe are much stronger than any normal human by miles, being able to jump super high and dish out inhuman damage.

Zack and Cloud reunited against Sefiroth. Two worlds against Sephiroth.
If you understand what the whole two worlds deal means, and it is actually not what you think. The one Zack is in is actually in Lifestream meaning that he is dead and seeing what basically could have been. Aerith is dead but she is now one with Lifestream like she was in og compilation, none of what you are seeing is deviating from og vii it is actually adding new lore elements while staying true to canon just like Nomura and devs have said. Trust me I have watched scenes over and over to understand the whole situation here and that is exactly what is going on

It's been confirmed that Zack and Aerith are alive in the other timelines and Sephiroth main goal in this universe unlike his previous variant is to merge all the timelines into one, Kill all Aeriths, and become a God of all.

Therre is one small detail they leave out about Zack. He fights with the sword upside down. It isn't until his fights get desperate/ serious that he fights blade forward. They could have represented this when he switches his fighting stance at the start of the fight, honoring that small detail only found in text in Crisis Core.

@@CloudStrifeZX I imagine this isn't the only time we see Zack draw his sword in the game? Knowing Zack's character he will beat his opponent and seek dialogue first before intending a killing blow. So yeah, Zack would technically be fighting with his sword upside down.
@@wiffmastermase Excluding cutscenes (which he doesn't even fight in them anyways), he draws his sword a total of 3 times for combat: the beginning of the game where he goes to save his timeline's Aerith, the duo fight with him and Cloud vs Sephiroth, and the fight against Sephiroth Reborn. All 3 times, I'd say he's pretty serious. He'd absolutely be serious when it comes to Aerith, so it doesn't surprise me he'd go all out from the start. And I'm sure being face to face with Sephiroth, the man who he saw slaughter and set ablaze and entire village, along with impaling his best friend and then was forced to drag them both to Midgar as a result of Sephiroth's actions (albeit an indirect result due to Hojo experimenting on them for 4 years), I'd say he's pretty damn serious.
I mean if you look at how zack holsters the sword on his back the sharp end is opposite of how cloud holsters it so maybe that’s hinting like he tends to use the dull side

I didn't expect a fight with this form of Sephiroth until the third game. A pleasant surprise.
The devs likely thought that doing all of Sephiroth's phases in the last installment would be too much for the game to handle. Rebirth alone is huge compared to Remake. Can you imagine the amount of time and data it would take to get his Super Nova limit break right? Or the Knights of the Round materia should they put that in? It could break the damn software you're trying to play the game on.
I don't really like that having Bizarro Sephiroth right now is weird this boss is supposed to happen after the reunion is complete and Sephiroth start his transformation to become a god
@@dededede9257 I get that. And it does make you wonder what they're gonna do by the end of the third game. That being said, I can see why SE went the route that they did. The Sephiroth that we've been dealing with for the most part has already gone through the motions and has arguably accended to some capacity. Hell, by the end of Remake, he pretty much took control of many of the Whispers who control Fate itself, and was capable of tossing buildings with his mind. It's not unusual (to me at least) to think that he regained much of his former strength.

@@dededede9257 I wonder. In the original, the Reunion was restricted simply to Jenova. Rebirth then introduced the idea of a planetary one (I guess?), where the many different timelines converge back into one. Maybe part 3 will see Sephiroth drawing strength from both. After all, one could argue that it was hinted that Zack will still play some role in Cloud's timeline. We are going to have to solve the issue of the paradox created by Remake after all. And if he can draw strength from both Reunions, the Sephiroth we next encounter could very well be stronger than Safer.

The two heroes of Cloud. Cloud used to idolize sephiroth and he admired Zack. One had a negative influence on him and the other had a positive influence on him. However, you can clearly see that sephiroth had more influence on Cloud. Just look at Cloud's fighting style in punisher mode.

Honestly, for me, this was one of the highest points of the game was being able to see Zack and Cloud reunite and team up and have a SYNERGY! That was incredible, it's a shame they didn't give Zack more play time as in his own adventures in his own timeline with his own party. Having Zack be a playable character was so awesome and we only got a taste of it, such a tease!! I hope they change their mind about DLCs.
I think Zack is one of the most popular characters in the franchise, that's why they brought him back here, for the fans, by giving him a timeline where he did not die. I think they will have him as full party member in part 3. This is not actually a remake of the OG, it's a sequel of sorts or alternative timeline where fate (OG plot) is being rewritten.

We’re definitely getting a 3rd game and this is my Theory for FF7 Part 3’s plot: I'm calling this game: *"FINAL FANTASY 7 REMEMBRANCE"* I speculate this will happen maybe not everything but a majority based on speculation. *-The Cloud that we played as in Rebirth gets corrupted and falls under the influence of Sephiroth or Jenova and turns evil. I say this because we see glimpse of it throughout the game especially at the very end. Cloud starts to act very strange, he also has the Black Materia in his possession and he hides it within his Buster Sword. So keep a note of this* *So we play as an alternate version of Cloud that still has the Mako Poisoning, he's from the same reality that Zack is from, meaning that we almost start all over again this would make game logic sense because he would be some what nerfed again. This also means a version of Aireth is still alive in this reality. We're task with saving the OG cloud and helping him remember himself and then they all unite to stop the Meteor from crashing within the original reality that has converge with Zack’s Reality* Part 3 will heavily focus on memories, hopes and connections with others across time and space. it's gonna be interesting to see if I'm completely correct or partially🙂

I was losing my shit at this part, one of the most hype moments of the game
It's so amazing that two characters, one I grew up with, and another I know who MOLDED my favorite character managed to shatter my heart in this one video. Zack Fair is literally the Angel of Hope and Cloud is Hope Incarnate. Every second of what this is makes it OKAY for FF fans to smile FULLY.

Why do I get Riku vibes when seeing Zack’s stance when they first notice Sephiroth
This has been the highlight of my life ever since I found out there's a timeline where Zack survives. Been itching for this so badly, & I seriously hope that he gets to live 😃 Not that his death was exactly too bad though. In that ending he got to see angeal again, & that'll always be interesting. But seriously, he's such an awesome bloke, & I relate to him heavily, so to see him being given another shot is just mindblowingly cool 😎

Sephiroth: GOOD I was starting to get bored
you can access the menu before this fight starts, and i had to swap to the buster sword for this part. seeing Cloud and Zack both going hogwild against Sephiroth with it was a treat.
*Cloud looks back, it's Zack and he's alive, then Sephiroth swoops in, badly imitating his theme song. He shouts "SEPHIROS!" in a high pitched tone and follows that by emulating an explosion noise. He has achieved his one winged angel form, giving him a 12x power level modifier. Cloud and Zack take their battle poses as the screen flashes repeatedly between them and Sephiroth for like, what? The 4th time in this game? Sephiroth laughs and mutters "Why did the Chocobo Wrangler throw his Cactuar burger away? He wanted something *Meteor*." Cloud and Zack pout, squint their eyes and make discouraged anime grunts. Mickey Mouse wearing an Organization XIII hooded robe oversees the standoff from a distance on a rooftop and chortles "So it has begun."* The blue light of a computer screen reflects off of an Asian man's glasses, he sits back on his office chair with a satisfied smirk.

It’s crazy how ZACK became so popular because of the mini cutscene in the OG and the PSP crisis core. That mini cutscene crates a new famous character! FFVII OG is god!
At first I was conflicted about the ending, didn’t really like how there was no room for emotions to settle, and was confused the whole time, it didn’t feel right to go from sadness to this cool reveal and then another cool reveal when Aerith shows up again, and back and forth. After sitting on it for awhile, I enjoyed the ending because I think Square will give us the true death scene and emotional damage in part 3. That being said, I think Zack and cloud team up should have been saved for later, and I for SURE think the Aerith team up would have been an excellent reveal in part 3. Still amazing scenes, I personally would have directed in a different order.
Now Im looking forward to hard mode when I will have them both using the Buster Sword

The true villain is not sephiroth actually, he is a victim too .we know his true mother is lucrecia until advent children he still dont know.the true villain is his father Hojo who inject jenova cell when still in the womb, hidden his actuall parent and not considering him as a child but just object of his research .That is main reason sephiroth insanity. Sadly until final fantasy advent children his true origin still not reveal to him and he is considered as a main villain . the plot hole is Sephiroth and Lucrecia still haven't found peace while Hojo still hasn't accepted his karma

Aerith aside and personally I think they handled it right, this ending is amazing I love that we finally have a scenario where Cloud and Zack get to fight side by side for a bit. The best part is that it does'nt destroy anything coming up for Cloud ontop that. And even with future devleopment in mind this is still an awesome moment and it makes me excited for the future.

12:05. Now Cloud started to believe in dreams in soldier. In Before Crisis, how Zack got promoted to 1st class was because he believed in having dreams when he joined soldier and Zack was trained to believe in dreams. It was shown that the director promoted Zack right after explaining his goals and most likely his dreams. Cloud most likely did not get promoted to 1st class in Before Crisis. So in the Rebirth, Cloud must of picked up Zack's belief in soldier.

It's crazy how much stronger and faster Cloud is to Zack at this point. I get it, we play as Zack for a few minutes but Cloud is a one man army when he faces against tough foes like Sephiroth. Watch AC or remakes ending, he slices through buildings, jumps silly heights and warps left and right. Rebirth really captured that for me, I was dancing round Sephiroth while Zack mainly stood there 😂 But narratively it makes sense that cloud can do crazy shit and keep up with Sephiroth otherwise it wouldn't be much of a fight
Brother, they just have distinct gameplay. Not to mention, you play as Cloud most of the game and he gets all the cool stuff. Both seem to be on equal level in cutscenes. And both faced Sephiroth reborn alone. Zack also works and fights alone.
@@FatKratos69 yeah I think that as well. I could never figure out why Cloud is so strong though. He doesn't train like Zack and his not a perfect experiment like Sephiroth. Is this ever explained in anything?
@@boozeman4749 Cloud was already naturally strong. Plus the jenova cells, Cloud really isn't a failed experiment. He only was one until Tifa woke him up.
@@boozeman4749 Hojo didn't get to test Cloud before Zack busted them out but no, Cloud was a success. The robed guys are the failures. If I remember correctly Cloud was injected with Sephiroth cells and Jenova cells. That's why he's ridiculously strong and can match Sephiroth. It's Clouds mental state that's questionable.

This makes me feel torn. I love what they are doing with the remakes and making Sephiroth timeline type villain and it works. But it still feels wrong and just flat out incorrect. This is just a fanfic for me at this point.
