  • I overall preferred what we got, but I wish they had kept the following elements: -Odin's words explicitly acknowledging Loki as a son -Odin's transferring of his power to Thor -Loki's more visceral reaction to Odin dying

    @Baes_Theorem@Baes_Theorem5 ай бұрын
    • Whilst I agree, I don't think it's the right time for Thor to have the power of Odin. Specially since he would've gone to sakar and been at the mercy of a small electric device which is already hard to believe stuns a thunder god. Plus they haven't explained or gone into the depths of Odin's power the way I've heard it exist in the comics, perhaps that's coming later. Now that Thor realises he isn't just powerful because of his weapon it'll hopefully be better too.

Love and thunder really needed a toning down on the comedy sides in my opinion, though I'm not sure what else they can do for him. They've a shopping list of things he's lost already, perhaps he needs an arc where he's finally ready to take the mantle of king and protect the realms. Every spike in power Thor has relates to him having a vision of his father, Valkyrie after seeing Thor's fight with the Hulk says him and Hela get their power from Asgard and so on. It's kinda weird we didn't get something akin to this more visible transference of power, but I suppose in the comics when the same happens Odin just dies and Thor suddenly has his powers too.

The Shepherd here is Jesus. John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. This is the fulfillment of the prophecy. Matthew 26:31 Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written: “’I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ This happened near 30 to 33 AD. Hosea 6:1-2 Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence. In prophecies 1day is equal to 1000 years. Which means after two thousand years Jesus will return again. And on the third day which is the 3rd millennium, we will live in his sight. We all know we cannot see God's face and live on Earth. So it's the second coming of Jesus. Luke 21:11 ► There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. We are the witnesses of all these things. From the death of Jesus to 2030 - 2033 there are 2000 years. Jesus is coming soon. Let's all repent and turn from our old ways and turn to the Lord. Praise the Lord. Peace and Love to you all Easter is pagan, the resurrection day of the Lord is correct and please stop taking the Lord's name in vain like saying omg or using it with a bad word or taking it in anyway that is in vain. Even the devil trembles in his name and we shouldn't use the powerful name like that. For the people who says Jesus is not God here's a verse. Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Everlasting Father?. There's your answer The whole world will turn against Israel and not just Palestinians. Then know the end is near. • the one in the movie is more beautiful to watch, but for some reason I find this version more appropriate, more real-life gritty, because often its when we / someone we know hit rock bottom that they realize the life lessons and appreciate their blessings. you can see a sampling of these with the wonderfully acted scenes between Chris, Tom and Sir Anthony. being in a stinky alley doesn't mask the fact that in the end, Odin becomes human and fully realizes what it's like, why both Thor and Loki has affinity for Midgard. remember Odin was so condescending of humans in Thor2, I'm pretty sure there were more Odin scenes as an old man around Earth, would've loved to have seen that so that he would at least have a character arc.

• This scene would’ve been great in the movie, but it would’ve heavily altered Thor’s visions of Odin when he was fighting the hulk and his melee with Hela. Instead of a groomed, earthly Odin found on Norway (ironically where Norse mythology traces back to btw) we would’ve had a broken, deranged man gratuitously advising Thor to awaken his true power from within.
