2:21:17 the reason they use so many guns during the spice raids is because shields attract worms and can’t be used out in the desert, they say that in the first movie
i remember in the books house atreides also gets gunned down at the start after there sheilds are sabotaged by the doc rather than a kung fu sword battle they have in the movie then again its been over ten years since i read the book
@@austin4303 The in person fighting is all melee in the books because shields could be used off the sand. The shield that Yueh sabotaged was the big one over the compound which meant that the Harkonnens could use artillery, not the personal shields used by individual combatants. The battle itself isn't described in much detail since the focus is on Paul and Jessica's escape and Leto's capture, both of which happen away from the actual battle, but we do know that the Harkonnen's won because they sent overwhelming force which wouldn't have been necessary if they were using guns against shieldless opponents. Also the Harkonnen had Sardaukar hidden among their troops and Sardaukar used almost exclusively melee weapons - they did carry pistols and sometimes dart firing weapons, but they were always backup weapons that were small and easily concealed, not main weapons.
that nurgle v gs game was so satisfying. Seeing all the early gs juking and positioning made me feel it was 100% unwinnable for nurgle, which made their victory all the sweeter.
You could just 'hear' the players think during the stand-off, it was great.
Watching someone bring Red Memegor and the Scribes vs a person that brings 3 scraplaunchers and fires them all game on single entities was... an experience.
And I had a TK army back in 6th edition and still fondly remember one game against Wood Elves. My opponent had Waywatchers literally in a building in some woods, and his reaction to learning everything hit them on 5s was golden
Annoying lore person here, but Knights of the Blazing Sun worship Myrmidia, so saying they are couching their lances for Sigmar would be deeply heretical to them XD
Age-old discussion here in this channel. All its veterans know Turin is the quintessential commentator ; once he learns and uses a phrase or word (especially catch-phrases), you can't make him change it no matter how many comments he gets. It's the same with saylac's lullaby (instead of salyak), dazh's brassiere (instead of brazier) etc. We love him nonetheless!!!

2:16:17 I’ve been out of the multiplayer loop for a while, but it’s a shame that Khorne is down in the pits with the Skaven now. For what it’s worth, I’d be really interested in seeing a “fixing [insert faction] for dom multiplayer” video! It could give some insight on what the faction’s strengths and weaknesses are, how they’re realized in a real game, and how they match up with other factions. And if Nurgle and Slaanesh are next on the buffing block for DLC, I feel like Khorne, some of the older factions like Skaven or Greenskins, or very recently buffed factions like Kislev or Cathay would be relatively safe to make those kinds of analysis videos on. They’re probably not changing significantly between releases (at least in terms of getting new units).

2:48:41 you can actually customise Dryades and other tree units, to give them Athel Loren, Drycha, or Aerlorn skin. The Drycha ones cost 50 gold more, but get frenzy. The big trees, for 50 gold, you get frenzy, vanguard deployment and +2 MA
Another reason Nurgle held up so well against the green skins, he brought savage orcs, but since plaguebearers have magic attack and 50 weapon strength, they were able to just cut through them. It's not a true counter or anything, but a very good match up.

2:29:41 a problem is wireless is never truly stable, can't be due to how it travels, you will always lose data and especially in PVP it matters bc the games wont continue without that data, while in MMO it matters less bc a lot off calc is done client side so it can accept loss or late data. so for gaming you should use wire when possible.
In my experience the humble goblin arrer's do more damage to plaguebearers than the orc arrers. They have more models per unit so more arrows per volley, they are more accurate, and their lack of AP doesn't matter against plaguebearers. Also a good fist of gork will crush a unit of plaguebearers.
a doom diver in to nurgle can be affective, its good vs lords or soul grinders if it can stay out of range. squigs and good and defending from furies

Another awesome tournament. I actually liked watching the finale battle right to the end, rather than seeing a tap out.
It's not that wifi is bad, it's that THEIR wifi is bad. Mine is never over 10 ms latency. Not everyone can lay wire around their home when the internet is installed in a closet or apartment in inconvenient places.

1:30:31 would think you can't challenge with a captain, need hero or lord for it, also would think sure you can't force a challenge as the defender. but I do recall something odd with those ^^ also once your captain/lord/hero is dead it goes to logic that the rest off the attacks should go into the unit. but not sure off rules; table top had weird rules for these, like entire regiment dies bc off a failed morale vs 1 hero or something silly :P 15 years since I played so :P
you also need base contact to challenge right? so kinda can mitigated by attacking from angles

I haven't seen Dwarves do well in any tournament in so long. As a Dwarf lover, I hate it haha. Dwarves and Lizardmen ( with Kroq'Gar or Mazdamundi ) But its always life slann, boring haha.

Love the comments about Orc cavalry being op. They have objectively abysmal stats. Waaagh helps them, buffs help them, they were used well. Thats it. Same people praise the Empire Grenade Launchers, and THOSE on the other hand ARE overpowered, without any additional buffs. Just in a vacuum on their own. Same with Dwarf blasting charge units. Ik campaign is not pvp, but how many players use Orcish cavalry in their campaigns? And how many ppl use Grenade launchers and Dwarf miners to cheese early (or late) game with explosives? Exactly...
turin seems to think that wifi is the sole issue of bad internet. But wifi is almost never the issue. In my experience it's more about where you live and what your provider gives you.
