  • In Belgium, I checked this 2 cars (Also V40 & 3008) And choose the C5 Aircross, so glad with my choice, its a car for long distance (Brussels - Munich/ Berlin/ Hamburg) on the 1.5L Diesel, average 115Km/H 4.5L/100 and the comfortability is superb BTW the sit also have cooling heating and massage option!

  • I honestly feel bad for the C5 Aircross. It should have been priced more competitively, but then Citroen doesn't seem to understand the indian market that well. The C3 too seems overpriced for what it offers.

    • So true...C5 was actually a competition to kodiaq n tugun but these cars are bought in India as CBU because their sales are low....had C5 been launched at 25 with few features less would have made wonders

  • Great review as ever. At 17:18mins the next video suggestions hide the evaluation table behind it; could have been avoided. I would like you to also additionally cover (at least quick mentions) the following: air-conditioning, illumination quality, built quality incl comparison of soft-touch material vs hard plastics.   • You have given somewhat wrong info in some place and have hidden some cool feature of C5. C5 donhave dual climate control. It has auto park facility. For a family which needs seat for 5, C5 is a clear winner. Tuscon is a good car too and has many cool features. However I felt the review biased

    • The c5 does not need release of the handbrake manually it automatically releases when you touch the throttle. The rear seats also slide back and forth independantly, the front headrests also slide back and forth which makes adjustment very easy and comfortable. it does have dual climate control you can adjust the temperatures independantly of each other, the central storage box between the front seats is also climate controlled and you can store chilled food in the compartment and blow cold air from the air conditioning system through the storage compartment.

  • Given that Hyundai/ Kia have been caught selling differently engineered (and cheaper) quality cars in india , am gonna assume the Tucson is a 3 star car until a specific rating for the Indian model shows up. Saying it’s the same spec as international is intentionally misleading Overdrive team. Similarly speckled cars have in the past turned out to be a lot less safe for these brands in india

  • Why should i buy new tucson? It has the same engine from the previous model. International model has hybrid and better interior. Steering wheel and gear knob are almost carried away from creta and centre console are bit outdated

    • Citroen practically invented the reliable emissions system it is the best it can be in the automotive industry with very few problems on diesel and petrol models, others have egr system issues esspecially with 1.6 litre diesel engines.

  • Yet another meaningful comparo by OD. Having driven the C5 I beg to differ with RP with regards to the feel of the high dashboard and window line on the C5. Made me feel like i was hemmed in and visibility out of the driver window while driving was very poor. Had to be extra cautious. At any rate Citroen hasn’t done enough with regards to tailor making the C5 for the Indian market. Price or specifications wise. Sad.

  • This is one segment where its hard to find a good all-round offering. Compass offers very little equipment at the entry bracket and by the time you reach tier which does, the quality niggles just deter you from putting in that kind of money. Petrol too is lackluster. C5 always was too expensive for what it is. Citroen should have either offered more features or priced it better. Its a similar story with Tiguan, where VW should have offered better spec for the price. Tucson looks the best option of the lot with Diesel, but its a disappointment with the petrol powertrain. Personally, I would rather stretch for Kodiaq, which has a good balance of price to specifications.

  • Cannot beat Hyundai on features lol. They decimate their competition in ALL segments. Safety (barring Tucson) though is debatable.

    • Tiguan is safest choice of segment as it scored 5 stars at latin ncap (Tucson scored 0 stars) Citroen scored 4 stars at euro ncap only Compass has interesting issue with the problem being it’s engine as although left hand drive compass scored 5 stars, right hand drive isn’t tested due to there being risk of oil leak in this variant bringing chances of its safety score being worse then creta Kodiaq and meridian are a segment above due to their 7 seats and plusher cabins

    • @@glubglubglub732 for a Hyundai it is impressive and it’s appreciated However, euro ncap has much less strict rules and tests in comparison to Latin ncap and the build quality and safety features of a car get tested there much more harshly. If one car got 5 stars in Latin ncap while another car got 0 stars, how can that be ignored if you also remember last gen Tucson also got same safety rating

    • @@darkkboy7017 any car in Latin ncap with 2 airbags or less is rated 0 only. And same was the case with tuscon. And even if it has 6 airbags, other safety equipment is also checked. The mid spec variant of the tuscon which had 6 airbags and had less safety kit scored 3 star in Latin ncap which is actually impressive

  • Such a long and detailed review about the C5 , yet you missed the one missing feature which a driver should have noticed C5 does not have "auto hold" in any drive mode. At 40L + , that's a real Shame, along with missing ADAS features

    • I owed a diesel duster for 6 months the duster has a hard ride that will leave you with a back ache in only short distances, it was so bad I had to sit on a cushion for longer journeys, the duster is not built for comfort, when I picked up my C5 Aircross in Oct 2022 I drove it 150 miles straight away in pouring rain, and it was so comfortable I didnt want to get out at the end of the journey.

  • Wrong numbers. The standard 4,50m Tucson has a 616L boot. So the longer version can not have only 540L.
