5 Cleanings That Keep The Travel Industry Running
As a pilot based in Minneapolis, I can say the deicing, plowing, and all other winter ops crew members do an excellent job, and are truly the backbone of the operation. We certainly couldn't do our jobs without them!
Keep forgetting that these careers are really at the back bones of keeping our world run properly. We really need more of this talent, not "influencers" THESE are the real influence
Keep forgetting? I never knew to begin with!
Absoutley! Thankyou to these people who work tirelessly to allow to keep people and cargo moving.

I've been a lead deicer at Newark international for 10 yrs now as a seasonal job. It's a fun laid back place especially when I get to train new hires over the course of 3 months before winter hits
How does one become a deicer?
They are cleaning toilets with hand 😮 Hats off they got my respect. Respect button here.
The de icing engineer said can't afford any mistakes. That's guy has been doing it for 25 years plus. Which means he hasn't messed up if he has last that long! Amazing!
Cleaning your vehicle is also a way of keeping it efficient. Always clean your vehicle's filters.
Really and truly appreciate these workers. They all do an excellent job. Now i have a better understanding why Japanese are the way they are when it comes to being clean.
I got stuck on the apron in Dublin during a giant blizzard watching these guys go to town on all the waiting planes and that's when I realized it was my dream job.
Thank you for the update, Insider..!! I always wondered how they would clean the planes after flying through very cold places like Alaska.
Thank yall who do these very important jobs❤
Nice way to re-use old content! 😋
Didn't know fluffy also de-ices planes 😂
lol
😂😂
😆 🤣
I did not think of that...😂
I was one of the first solo de-icers on Denver International Airport, I have to admit, that was one of my favorite jobs of all time in undergrad. I got there in the worst conditions, at 3am, read books and played a real-life video game of sorts. Miss that job.
They all meetup at MSP!? That is the airport I always go to there to go on a Delta flight!
1:34 they must be deicing the new planes with Bluetooth engines 😂
2:30 haha its like a top gun for de-icers
Crazy, a few days ago I was thinking if they "carwash" planes. Because a saw a vid of a very sleek and shiny passenger plane. Haha Never talked about it aloud or in chat or googled it, but this is amazing timing.
Back in college I had a friend who was part of a plane cleaning crew.
quick reminder always finish your food dont waste it :)
Clean wife, clean life
I travelled on Tokyo subway last year. I must admit it was spotless, it was a strange thing to have stuck in my memory. It reminded me of the train between the two worlds in the Matrix.
east or west delta is the best
Cruise ships definitely have water fountains so idk what that means lol
If only American bathrooms could be as clean..
nahhh if i owned a rental business and a customer came back with one of my cars looking like that i would send them a bill for sure !!!!! even the dashboard and steering wheel was caked in sand
is there a reason captions are unavailable?
wow this is so cool. Secondd
Thank you to all the de-icers out there
😮
Yeah these guys are doing a great job hahaha. In south America metros there aren't no bathrooms 😢 at all.
Much funnier in hindsight after all that happened
The dirtiest is the luggage conveyor belt system, so filthy, I won’t put my bag through it.
If the 2 x 4 works, the manufacturing company of the deicer should just embrace it. Don’t improve upon it, because it works! Well… it is broken to begin with?
ngl i think bird droppings come from birds just saying
Where does all that poison runoff go after it is sprayed on the planes deicing?
It is done in special areas near runways and excess fluids are collected, recycled and re-used. These de-icing stations have own drain system which makes sure no fluids go into waste and drain only into specific drains.
Propylene Glycol is nontoxic. Its even used as a food additive.
Combine previous video and upload. 😂

This doesn't happen in the US or India

What’s the connection between deicing crew and OBESITY??? I don’t get it.
