Stunning 1830's Abandoned Farmhouse Left to Rot
This Georgian style farmhouse has been abandoned for over 15 years and is one of the oldest surviving heritage homes in this area. The house was not only used as a home for the family, but also a place that involved the local community. In the 1930’s the local church had a male choir. The choir became very well known and this home would be used as a place for the choir to practice. In 1975 the house was transferred to a family member for $2.00. Then in 2010 the house was abandoned for unknown reasons. Then in 2016 the property was sold to a developer for 8.25 million dollars. The property will be developed and the future of this heritage home is unknown.

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

Most people today don’t appreciate the craftsmanship that went into building these homes. The woodwork was handcrafted with solid wood. It’s a shame these homes are left to deteriorate instead of being preserved. Thank you for sharing, and stay safe.
Well said! Glad you enjoyed it
Bonjour et merci j’adore regarder vos vidéos tj incroyable. Soyez prudent. 🇧🇪
There's such a hominess and beauty to these old places. Those new multimillion homes just don't have. It's a disgrace to let lovely places like this rot
In all of Canada's cities all of the older buildings from the 1930s all the way back to 1800s are bring taken down. No consideration or appreciation for classic and historical value that they have pertaining to Canada's rich architectural history. Its all about building towers for the migrants who have no real deep connection or deep identity with Canada.
It’s sad that a beautiful Historical House would be abandoned and then sold to a developer 😢 And it ticks me off that vandals wreck the place! What’s the point?🤷♀️😡 Thanks for sharing another beauty! 🩵
En effet c'est triste car cette maison devait être superbe. 🇧🇪
So typical of developers!so very sad!
That was once a beautiful home. Now its messy and sad because vandals just had to wreck it. Very sad when people have no respect for things that do not belong to them. What was left intact was impressive. Thanks, Brent
I love how you appreciate the Victorian Era. I also really love that you know you stuff, when it comes to antiques and how houses are built. ❤😊
Such an impressive channel. I dream of being in one of these homes with so much character, rather than some new typical 'uniform' homes that are built in a day practically.
I agree. Victorian all the way. The houses being built now are put together, very cheap. They are also to close to each other. That drive me bat **** crazy.
I bet generations of children had a blast playing hide and seek in that mansion. Incredible home ❤
What a beauty. Vandals & developers, No respect for either. Great video, Thank you...
I’m amazed at how intact and beautiful the woodwork still looks. This home wood make a nice historical community center for the subdivision as it’s still very solid and could easily be repaired. Local government should be more involved in helping to preserve history for future generations. Thank you for the tour!
1830's WOW what a dream if to only see it back in the day. These old homes have so much character, such a treasure...yet...sucks they end up likes this. Thanks for showing us another gem.💫💫✨✨
That was a beautiful place. Seeing the damage idiots did to it make me sick.
The older the better gives you a glimpse back in time as to what things were like. love it Brent great job on finding these oldies.
It should be illegal to tear down a historical house like that. Im all for publishing and protesting the the developers and the vandals.
this house is absolutely stunning omg. my literal dream
I watched a brick mansion fall into ruin, I found it in 2012 and took photos of it over the years and watched it decay and fall apart and in 2023, it was finally demolished.. it wasn't safe to be in anymore after 2014 when the front wall came down and pretty much the entire first floor was exposed.. there was no vandalism there despite it being in an town with no police and sat alone on a dirt road (Not entirely alone but it had no houses near it) it was built in 1840's as a log cabin and by the early 1900's it was converted to a 2 story brick mansion.. at least 3-4 bedrooms,1 bathroom and 2 living areas and small kitchen.. had 3 fireplaces. I didn't explore the second floor because like I said the front wall was gone for the first floor and the second wasn't connected to much anymore except maybe the back half of the building.. the doors, kitchen sink were all stolen along with the old vintage stove (That would have fetched a max total of $3500) Some doors couldn't be stolen because they were basically the only thing that held up the second floor ceiling it seemed.. all the doors on the first floor were stolen.. even the staircase disappeared but the floor in the main hallway was gone long before the front wall came down. There was a refrigerator but it was from the 1960's or earlier.. so that wasn't stolen.. the stove was a type I seen in antique shops though smaller and listed for $1500.. this stove was in amazing condition.. All the cabinets in the kitchen were pretty much bare.. some dishes left behind.. tons of books left behind.. The strangest thing I found there was eye drops still in their containers.. that expired in 1979
Oh wow thanks for sharing this
👍Brent, U R The Best Explorer 👍
Thank you very much!
Whoever had that place did an awesome job refurbishing it they left a lot of the original charm so sad
I wish more people would appreciate these older homes and work to restore them and keep them around for another century or two. The craftsmanship can’t be duplicated. The woodwork and built ins are stunning, even the additions kept the aesthetic of the original home. I would much rather live in this home that has withstood the test of time than in some new subdivision. It’s heartbreaking to me to think of this beauty and history being destroyed to benefit some greedy developer. Thanks for sharing this stunning remarkable home.
So beautiful. No appreciation for the quality and history of this beautiful work of art.
The woodwork is totally awesome.. how can they not see the beauty of history here.. lot families with children or elderly would love to have a home, they would be blessed,no matter, this is still livable lot more yrs..
This home is amazing. The detail in that wood. Love this house and sure wonder how grand it must have looked decades ago.
So happy to see your back. Missed you and your explorations. This one is another sorry demise regarding the history and waste of another beautiful estate. There's no stopping of greed😢
Beautiful woodwork through out the house, and how awesome that it wasn’t painted over! I was elated to see that! I love wood and It upsets me terribly when people paint over beautiful wood! It’s horrible that vandalism exists and that so much glass was broken! Very sad this place is left to decay! Thank you for sharing this once beautiful home!❤
Good morning Brent! Thank you for another interesting explore though sad to know that this once beautiful home has been left to rot to benefit yet more greedy developers. Gill 🇬🇧
Absolutely this was a treat to behold, Brent. Thank you for preserving this grand old dame for us. What a luxurious and classy house. I love the size of the rooms, no dark dingy corners, and the woodwork is really beautiful. ❤️
The wood work is a treasure. I wish it could be preserved amd not destroyed. How I would love a home like this
Stunning home explore Brent!! Hard to believe this house was already 80 years old when the Titanic sunk. Crazy!!
What a beautiful old farm house 🏠. It's a shame that it can't be restored 😢. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe 👌 👍 🙏 ❤
Such a fantastic house! It is a treasure with roof and foundation in good shape; it should be restored.
Your intro is perfect. The music gets to me everytime. Thank you!!
Sad another home bite’s the dust to development! Coo video! ❤️😢🤘👍
HURRAH !! 😊 My fav explorer on a Friday evening just in time for the weekend in UK. Hi Brent... It always makes me feel sad that lovely homes like this will be demolished. However I love coming with you on these explores to places I will never go..... And to places that are blessed with snow !! This was a particularly lovely home with all the beautiful wood panelling and wainscotting. It's such a pity that mindless thugs have to vandalise it. Yet again a satisfying xplore with our gorgeous Brent. Have a great weekend Brent and stay safe. X Janice X 🇬🇧
Thanks Janice! 👌🏻
The big windows let in a lot of light! It was a beautiful home.
My dream home ❤❤ So heartbreaking that developers bought it and the people who vandalized and destroyed this once majestic Farm. That shouldn't happen !
This is the type of ace that if being tirn down the wood should be able to be repurposed. Such beautiful woodwork in this place.
I love the old traditional styles. Such a shame it has been abused.
Great video. Sad when old homes fall to ruin. Many potential items could have been reclaimed.
I love all woodwork and doors, so sad a family isn't living in it.
That was a very nice house back in the days, too bad it will be gone soon.
Through your videos, it really feels like you're welcoming us on a tour in person.
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them
Fantastic house beautiful wood work , i could live there. Great job Brent keep them coming 😘🤗🇵🇷
I've lived in Connecticut, California, and Colorado, and done remodels. Have always called that woodwork Wainscoting 😊
Canadians call it that, some viewers rip me for calling it Wainscoting lol
We call it wainscoting in Florida. No shade from me. @@AbandonedUrbexCanada
It’s so sad this looks like a real nice house back in the day ..
What a shame l love old houses and to see them gone 😢 houses like that were made to last to take them down is very sad 😢
Sad, these glimpses of life gone by
Love the these older homes they don't make'em like this anymore. ❤❤
Such a beautiful home the woodwork is amazing. Darn shame it was left rot.

Awesome house thanks I enjoyed watching
Glad you enjoyed!
What a fantastic house Brent!!
Hello Brent The house 🏡 is too beautiful a shame to demolish it.Can't wait for the next exploration,I love your vidéos bye 👍👍❤️❤️😺👋
An absolutely gorgeous craftsmanship of brick & woodwork!!! The thick, matching doors, door casings, hardware, windows, window casings, wainscoting & cabinetry was beautiful 👍🙏💕 Vandals will never appreciate or ever own anything that nice, as they can’t appreciate the workmanship that went into these rare gems😞 Thank you sooo very much for sharing this beautiful property…I truly loved it 👍🙏💕
Glad you enjoyed it 😃
Beautiful woodwork!
That place is beautiful. They could have saved the woodwork etc but left it all to rot. So sad...thanks for the explore. That one closet was a cedar closet. Used for clothes you didn't want moths to eat your good clothes.
the awesome wood work near the fireplace and in wall book case wow wow ,
Sad state of affairs for the family who owned the house. 😥 Good job with the explore. 👀🙂
It's sad to think that people derive pleasure from destroying things!
Isn't that the truth just makes you sick..So Sad😢
Another great explore. Shame we couldn’t see the garage. Was a beautiful house sad that there was so much vandalism. They always seem like they want to tear down historic buildings. Sad.
Garage was sealed up
Ommggg what a gorgeous house!!!!!! I’d fix it up but keep it the same! It’s gorgeous and the layout is just….wow. So sad seeing these homes go to waste when so much time went into building it.
Fantastic job. Thank you so much for enduring the cold to bring us such a great video ❤
Thanks for showing this beautiful home! Woodwork is magnificent, beautiful curtains and I personally love the wallpaper 🌹
Wow, that's a beautiful home. I love how the rooms are very large. Must have been grand back in the day. Thanks for the walk Brent!! ☮️💜
That would have been a gorgeous home to live in.
That is old!! love it Thanks Brent!😊👍
Beautiful big old home . Watching from Australia 🇦🇺.
Thanks for watching!
i so could use that wash room and those mail slots under the stairs.
Beautiful, love the layout and woodwork,it's a shame it's to be demolished for homes that will never last as long or be as beautiful, what a waste!! Great find, thanks Bret!!
As you took us through the house, I was imagining how gorgeous it must've been back in the day. Seeing it from the outside made me think of a gingerbread house 😊 Thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yes definitely a treat very cool 😎
Such a beautiful home,I really loved the large window seals,, beautiful wooden doors and beautiful wood work in this home..Too bad someone didn't get the home 20 yrs ago and took care of it..I cannot believe what people get out of destroying such a beautiful place,I just don't get it. Really would hope someone comes through and strips the good stuff that's left before someone demolishes it all. I would have loved to seen it back in its hay day I bet it was an awesome place..Thank you for sharing this gem..I personally loved this home..Please share more from the USA..❤❤
What I don't understand is...why do people feel the need to destroy someone elses property?
Beautiful find!! Thank you for sharing 😊
You’re welcome!
I haven't seen one of your vids for a long-time..this one was a beauty. I too love heritage homes with character. Thanks Brent!
Thanks for coming back to visit 👌🏻
This house is very 1 of a kind, sucks that it has to be taken down
Another AMAZING exploration Brent!! Thank you for all that you do 😊
This is an absolutely beautiful home! I can't even begin to express how depressing it is that yet another historic home has fallen to the clutches of land developers. We should restore and hold onto places like this, not demolish them. One of these old homes has ten times the charm and character of any modern home. Thanks for sharing this with us, Brent. Hopefully someone wises up and saves this place.
demolition by decay, excellent observation!!!!
Brent appreciate you going out in the weather to bring great footage😊
Wish I could buy it!! Beautiful 😊
It’s always a good day when there’s a new video from Brent and Abandoned Urbex Canada!! Good find once again! You never disappoint, my friend!
What a beautiful old heritage farmhouse! I just kept imagining and seeing a happy family living there at one time and how much they enjoyed it. I kind of get a sad feeling when thinking about it and now the amazing place will be demolished. Don't you wonder why all the stuff and items were tossed out? I am thinking it was the vandals that did it. It was so neat to hear about the choir practicing there. Wonderful video Brent, thank you! 😊👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for sharing Brent ! Painful to see how people will vandalize a place. Very sad. Thanks Cheers
Cheers Bill!
Excellent content as always " Thanks Brent! Safe travels Sir"!👍😎👍😎👍😎👍😎👍😎👍😎👍😎👍💯💯✌️
some stunning features. an abandoned paradise.
Loved this one so beautiful the wood
Wow Brent, what an interesting old house. So nice. Stupid vandals, little jerks smashing everything. Really bugs me. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very nice video! It was an amazing house.
The wood carving on the side of where the spindles were looked cool. Also, I like that the house was split level (not sure if that's the correct term) and it had that curved step area.
Bonjour j' adore vos videos tj incroyables. Merci et soyez prudent. 🇧🇪 👍👍👍👍
What an absolutely gorgeous home! I'm crying to think it may be destroyed. I'd gladly put money into bringing this place back to it's firmer glory
What a shame. Reminds me of the house I grew up in.
Always loving your channel be safe dude blessed weekend❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
love that closet u found , in hall way
Such a beautiful House, it is really a shame, that it is left to rot!
I used to explore abandoned places and often they were abandoned due to flooded basaements/damaged foundations. A high water table or simply accumulated effects of shifting ground can eventually ruin an otherwise good house just like this.
Someone should contact the developer and ask if they could rescue all of that beautiful old woodwork and built ins for cleaning the god awful mess up outside. All of the gingerbread outside and cedar closets and woodwork would be snatched up and reused and the people passing by wouldn’t have to look at all of that destruction every day. Great video, but as a lover of the beautiful materials and craftsmanship put into these old homes and no longer available for anyone but a few, at any price, this breaks my heart.
Brent what an awesome find, hope all is well😊
Beautiful❤
Thank you for sharing the history!
Excellent video. Appreciate you. You find some real gems to explore and share
nice house and architecture
