So asking them to get id is just putting a further obstacle in their way, meaning they are even less likely to vote. The working class are more likely to vote Labour. But even worse, the over 65's are allowed to use their travel passes. But young people are not. Over 65's mainly vote Tory. Young people mainly don't vote Tory.

The ULEZ campaigners are just really selfish people who do not care about any one else's health or their own. Most petrol cars that are up until nearly 20 years old, which is what most people drive, are compliant. Its diesel vehicles that have to be Euro 6 which is 2015 onwards. The cut off point is not that harsh. Not many people drive cars older than 20 years old anyway. The only reason why is A. Its a classic or B. You can't afford a newer car.

    • @@danieltesfaye8517 for you it may not seem like a big deal given you live outside london, rent takes up about two thirds of the average monthly salary for a shoe box sized bedroom that is not accounting for food and whatnot, from that if you own a car then you have to pay insurance on the car which is more expensive because you live in london and a cheap decent ulez compliant car, now, that may or may not break down on you on the way home starts up to 2.5k. People are upset because they drive older cars that are still in good mechanical condition, and now they have to get rid of it because of the newly imposed tax on the poor. I checked if a nissan micra 1l from the early 2000s if it is ulez compliant and it isnt, but a Lamborghini with a v12 that guzzles a litre of fuel every 5 mins, is compliant. All of this was within about a decade when property/pub prices were at a peak. Essentially, they paid too much. They survived Lockdown, but the indications they are not going to survive the cost of living crisis. At the end of the day, though, Stonegate as a company has no gay provenance, like so many so-called pink businesses. Again, it is one of those aspects over which the Mayor of London has so little control. The villain of the piece, for me, has always been Westminster City Council and Soho Estates that have sought to gentrify the area. Soho became a gay hub because it was run down, essentially, and rates and rents were affordable. Bars became gay because mainstream businesses didn't see enough revenue in them. It was the same for Earls Court, Kings Cross, Shoreditch and Vauxhall, but now an overheated property market and rip-off landlords and developers have kicked out so many old business. This has happened so extensively, that there is now no new down-at-heel zone for a gay business to migrate to and start over.

    • He doesn't have the power to raise wages, that's up to employers or central government to raise the minimum wage. Also it's a Tory law that lets Europeans and other foreigners work for less. That was actually illegal under EU law. Everyone had to be paid minimum wave regardless of where they came from. Not any more! So now all those people they're bringing in on emergency visa's to do jobs we desperately need doing are doing it for less than a British worker, which is hilarious because the leave sider were saying that kind of thing had to stop so we needed to leave the EU! Funny that isn't it? Almost like they lied. Oh.

Surely it’s the job of a politician to promote higher wages and good conditions. Sadly like all politicians it just seems he’s in the pocket of business owners not workers. In france being a waiter is an awesome job. French people enjoy it. Why? Restaurant owners see them as human. We are addicted to cheap labour. Imo a Starbucks worker is worth a bit more than 11 quid an hour so too is a waiter. Maybe I’m too left wing. Because otherwise it’s a case of looking the other way, accepting an under paid ‘underclass’ just so I can get a nice coffee on my way to the office

The government does nobody any favours when it pays public sector workers so poorly and doesn't give pay rises for years to keep up with inflation. • Crime is actually down across the board under Khan, though there is a rise in theft in the last year or so due to the cost of living crisis and the fact the Police are massively underfunded and understaffed because the government keep cutting budgets and don't recruit enough officers. They still haven't replaced the 21,000 they sacked when May was Home Secretary, yet the population has grown since then, so we have fewer officers per person on the street than we did 14 years ago. If you want safer streets, don't vote Tory at the next General Election.

  • Enough is enough! Tomorrow, it's time for a change in City Hall. We've tolerated too much from this ineffective Mayor for far too long. Consider these troubling statistics: robberies are up by 58%, thefts have risen by 31%, 45% of scheduled rail and underground services faced cancellations or delays, sexual offences have increased by 43%, and there have been seventy stabbings in just four months. Another term under his leadership would spell disaster for our city. Let's unite and ensure we don't endure more of the same. Vote for Susan Hall and prevent further harm to Londoners!

    • Those crimes have gone up nation wide, and they're actually below national average in London which is quite impressive for a city it's size. The harm you speak of is caused by 14 years of the Tories.

My portfolio is rounding up to almost a million, and I have realized that when a stock makes it to the news. Chances are you're quite late to the party, the idea is to get in early on blue chips before it becomes public. There are lots of life changing opportunities in the market, and maximize it.
