Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of MG Marvel R 2021
Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
- a frontal impact test, 50% of the width of the car is striking an oncoming deformable barrier, also travelling at 50 km/h
- a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid full width barrier
- a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door
- a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole and the robustness of the centre airbag is evaluated.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled as well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders), lane support and speed assistance technologies.

One thing that you should add to the test is what happens if the user isn't reacting to the warning "take the wheel". Some cars goes to the roadside, Some stoppes straight were they are. And some just turns of the Assistance, causing the car to crash.

Hi I have a question regarding this car. Is this a electric car or a hybrid or just a standard engine car.
Center airbag doesn’t deploy quick enough between the two passengers or go high enough which is the result in massive neck and skull damage

I thought Mg Was A Safe Brand And It Is!
According to the EuroNCAP report, the MG Marvel R did not get the 5⭐ due to the excessive rigidity of the front hood due to the fact that the line of light that joins the two headlights is embedded there. That excessive stiffness can cause serious damage to pedestrians, hence the low score in that section...😔 I'm sure MG will correct it in the future...🤷♂️

MG is a British brand, now under the wings of Chinish SAIC, which makes more than 4 million cars a year...! Marvel is their latest model --- they also make the MG ZS (EV) that you might have heard of. But it is almost impossible to keep up with all the new Chinish cars coming now.
