  • I find it very interesting how she has her hair and makeup on point but dresses casually. She's so simple, but elegant. Her latest interviews have been great

  • Lana del Rey's exploration of hip hop isn't considered cultural appropriation in the same way that katy Perry and Miley Cyrus were because she is not trying to use black culture or black ppl as props or as an "edgy" fad. She generally enjoys their sound and doesn't compromise changing her own sound to cater to a certain demographic, but instead blends the two and result is great. Love lana

    • I'm a big rap listener and I really think Lana got some hip hop vibes . She sings like many rappers ram, I mean by her flow's rythm and Melody. For example the beginning from 'Videogames' really show a rapper flow with the 'swinnin in the backyard / pull up in ur fastcar' so she's already kind of in hip hop culture

There is a glow in her eyes that takes you back to a time of class but still an edginess of modern identity with her current style and attitude. She's a vintage Coney Island queen, but a modern day beauty.

Who are you singing about in 'birds of a feather'? 4. do you write your poetry in one go or does it change as you record the song? 5. your fans are obsessed with Lizzy Grant material, do you think you will ever release a b-sides album? 6. do you have any songs about Chuck? 7. who taught you to whistle? Who do you think about when you whistle in 'white mustang'? 8. Have you ever had a ayahuasca trip? 9. what is the most romantic song you have ever heard? 10. Do you watch horror movies? 11. what kind of coffee do you drink? 12. Do you stay up at night or wake up early in the morning? 13. Was New York City a hard place to be sober? 14. is god important to your music? 15. Do you hear a beat first and then sing or do you sing and then plug in the beat? 16. What was it like talking to Claire Boucher? Do you listen to Halfaxa or her earlier work? 17. are you annoyed that interviewers ask you sexist questions about men and songs that came out five years ago? 18. Does it bother you that nobody asks men questions about their persona or the 'bitches' and 'pussy' in their lyrics? 19. In "get free" you say "for...and for..." you edited out their names, any hints as to who they are?

  • Being a Black woman I do have a problem with cultural appropriation, but I see it as someone using others style to gain a profit. That's why I don't like Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus anymore. Hip-hop was never true to who they were. They just used the sound, and features of artist to get more views and money. I FUCKING HATE THAT SHIT. Lana is not that. Like she said she's about the music. We all know when it comes to her music she does what she likes, she doesn't ride waves or just do what's cool (reason why she felt indifferent about summertime sadness remix). I respect that she mixes in different sounds, because she not being fake about it. It's very genuine, she's just herself and that translates into her art. She said she wanted to make music with her friends. Katy Perry isn't friends with the migos, I'd bet big money on that. Lana is very honest with her sounds, leave her be.

    • Andrea you haven't seen many of her interviews...she's very animated and engaging usually. She was bringing it at the start but the interviewer was as dull as shit so she dialed it back.

  • It's kind of weird that they included her "avoiding cultural appropriation" when it was literally talked about for 20 seconds in the entire interview.

  • I really feel like it was obvious that he wasn't really vibing with her. She was incredible as she always is, but he just came off almost aloofish and skeptical?? I don't know :/
