Passionate hypocrisy. The immediate past administration was not labour-friendly because the State's labour force was not promoted and their minimum wage was not paid. Why build an office space for your employees and leave them stagnant without promotion?

Shatap der short man. Wike was very unfriendly to the workers. He showed it, he spoke it and he acted it. It is not enough to build a labour house. Come to think of it, how much did he build it? It is a known fact that no promotion was made under Wike, pensioner were punished under Wike, the so-called labour house he built was locked by Wike for years simply bcos he perceived they were opposed to his high handedness.
This man is stating half truths and lying through his teeth. As a Rivers indigene and resident i can confirm that Wike is the worst Governor we have had in terms of workers welfare. Workers in River State were never promoted in 10 years (this is something that should happen every 3 years), no recruitment into the civil service, he refused to pay Teachers of university demonstration secondary schools (especially udss ndele) for eight years, he only started paying gratuity of retired govt workers for the first in eight years after he lost the pdp presidential primaries. We should not rewrite history, there are areas where Wike was wonderful (like project delivery) but certainly not workers welfare and employment creation.

@@mars-vw8pp my parents were civil servants, my brother is a civil servant, I have extended family that are civil servants all in Rivers State, I know at least 2 people who work in demonstration secondary school Ndele that Wike refused to pay for 8 years. There is no lie in anything I typed there and you know it except you have no knowledge of the issues I raised. Wike was great in infrastructure delivery but governance goes beyond that.

The man forgot to mention the donations Wike donated to other states to build his so-called structures. All from the purse of Rivers State. He couldn't have been spending so much for structures and still have something left to pay Rivers people their pension and gratuity.
