A U.S. Marine Corps Instructor from 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion (2nd LAAD) explains how to fire an FIM-92 Stinger missile. Members of the 2nd LAAD fire Stinger missiles at drone targets during training at Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona. 2nd LAAD uses Stinger surface-to-air missiles to provide close-in, low altitude air defense against enemy aircraft. The FIM-92 Stinger is an infrared homing surface-to-air missile (SAM), Man-Portable Air-Defense System (MANPADS). Filmed on March 27-28, 2015.

Most of the Stingers in Afghanistan are used as ‘bling’ by armed groups, as they are very expensive, not so effective against modern NATO aircraft, and the thermal batteries that stingers need are long dead (replacements are very very difficult to obtain, for obvious reasons).

Clark's book, "Ignition" for an idea of the complexity in coming up with rocket propulsion fuels. We had a jeep and a 1/4ton trailer, with, either 2 to a casket, or 4 caskets with one in each hermetically sealed, so we were told. This is the first time I have looked this up. 2 25 22
