What’s poppin, Rangers?! It’s me MT and welcome back to the Heavy Spoielrs show! This is IT people! We’ve finally done it. We’ve finally gotten around to breaking down the greatest cinematic achievement of the 1990’s…the 1995 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie…a movie that absolutely OOOZES with greatness! So buckle up y’all because it’s Morphin Time!
[Member Shout]
The 1995 Power Rangers movie would be Bryan Spicer’s directorial debut. On a budget of $15 million, the MMPR movie would earn $17 million in its first weekend alone…eventually grossing $66.4 million globally…with 20th Century FOX and Saban Entertainment very much making a profit off of the Power Ranger hype that was sweeping the world at the time. The first two Seasons of Power Rangers quickly elevated all of these young actors into major celebrity status as every kid and every parent of every kid had these teenagers with attitude on their radar.

  • My husband and I took our son and his friends to this movie when it was released. As parents, we thought it was cute, but we actually discussed the fact that it didn't show injuries. We didn't need gushing blood, but we felt it should show kids that fighting like this would cause bleeding when sliced. After all, as a mum, I certainly had to patch up my share of injuries from recreating movie moves irl (lol). ;) I always had a soft spot for the black/green ranger being a frog. That improvised scene touching. :)

    @daisyblossomflowerchild9702@daisyblossomflowerchild9702Ай бұрын
    • Right? Sensible parents would want to see consequences. Though that would definitely stop a lot of Batman products in their tracks, as the crooks he subdues would almost definitely die of their injuries.. The irony is on the show, being hit would cause sparks to fly out, meaning those actors had a bunch of pyrotechnics going off right on their bodies.. that's significantly more dangerous than pretending to get hit by a sword and adding some stage blood.

      @KairuHakubi@KairuHakubi25 күн бұрын
    • The sad fact is certain IPs cant become overly successful without certain groups of people out there trying to shut it down. Harry Potter for its use of witchcraft. Power Rangers for its use of martial arts. Even though the show itself has a lot of well written stories that teaches kids great lessons like team work, patience, working hard, repurcussions etc. There were a lot more like Buffy the vampire slayer and Angel, but i cant remember most of them.

Unless you were pertaining to special forces/operators that had a recruit join at 17, and not fail selection or training before being assigned to a group, lol. Other than that, if someone is lucky, they will do all the jump schools, and qualify for the HALO at a minimum age of 22. There hasn’t been any young late teenagers, that are able to free fall in the military, and be able to control were and how they land. But I applaud you for pointing out that knees, back, and ankles are still crunching lol

  • For a brief moment you can actually see the Black Ranger helmet have an enhancement. My take is that in this universe Tommy wasnt the Green Ranger. Who wears Green in the movie? Dulcea.

  • I have a soft spot for this movie and have kinda have grown an application for it. It just has so much charm to it and it’s also a timeless classic. I also love the sets, costumes, and the makeup crew did an excellent job. That’s why I appreciate this movie, because it actually took effort to make unlike CGI. I want practical effects back

Power Rangers: The Movie 2: Rise of the Dragon(The Rangers vs. The Green Ranger) 1996 3. Power Rangers: The Movie 3: Birth of the White Tiger 1998 (The Rangers vs. Lord Zedd) 4.
