Always! Such great items you guys found! Yesss! ( :

Not having much energy always deprives me of something. The pickers get the good stuff early before i get out afternoon garage shopping. The healthy are so privileged.
Just moved up north to St Augustine in the woods from Orlando originally from ohio. Gonna hit some local sales because I need some homesteading shit .👍👍👍👍👍
While you're shopping, pick up a decent camera, GoPro "Fish Eye" videos suck. If you need a camera that can take the abuse of extreme sports, GoPro is great, but if you want to make good up close video, even a 10-year-old smart phone is better than "Fish Eye".
"Oh you just wait" - words that can either put excitement or total fear in the heart of a man when said by his wife.
Lol 🤣
🤣🤣. True words!! 🤣🤣
Rarely do I ever see stuff like this at yard sales.
I agree!! I only see stuff like this is at estate sale’s.
Yes,I agree. Everything is new and in the original packaging .....not to mention that I don't think that the boxes were ever opened.
The more economically stable the area, the better the yard sale!
I'm in the middle of a 2 day yard sale right now. Kinda got rained out today - but the stuff I did sell - my brother and friend Dina couldn't believe when I sold some items pretty cheap. One was a now older old digital camera that still worked fine but not so many megapixels - and when the guy told me it was going in Fire Engine #2 for on the scene photos - I said it's yours please take it for the FD. Other things I let go ridiculously low. My point is I'm done with these things - I got my pleasure out of them - and if someone else wants to buy, store, advertise, sell on ebay or marketplace or whatever - please be my guest. I just want to pare down all the "Stuff" I collected and want it gone. If you make a profit -be my guest. I furnished my whole house on yard sales at one time and it was great, and I found some eclectic stuff. But as you age it's time to pass it on.
I like your attitude. The purpose of yard sales is to decrease the amount of clutter you have, not to make a large profit at your tiny temporary thrift shop. I can't tell you how many yard sales I've been to where the stuff being sold was barely below retail. "Really? You want 25 dollars for this? For another ten bucks I can get it brand new with a 1 year warranty!" And instead of lowering the price most people I've encountered just shrug and say "Maybe you should pay the extra ten bucks then"
Well someone has a wise attitude toward life 🙏🏻😊. I couldn't agree more. So well said
I love Retirees with garage sales, they are the best and most well meaning. They really appreciate extending the usefulness of things. Also, you are spot on regarding the price of fishing lures today. There's also a growing collectors market.
In my old neighborhoods in Florida, Nocatee and Fruit Coffee, people put stuff out for free on garbage day. I got a near new Pit Boss smoker, free, patio set, free, microwave, free. Rich people don't sell stuff at garage sales.
I just got a ton of stuff because my neighbors moved out and put so much at the curb... Got a portable AC floor unit, a drone, a table + two chairs, yard equipment, a beach cruiser bike and a lawnmower. Bonus because the drone could have caused an explosion from the lithium batteries if it had made it into a garbage truck. Some people may look down on me for digging through a huge trash pile but I don't care, most of the stuff I salvage is good stuff and still useable!
Tip on the Coleman grill, pull the burner knobs and remove the valves. Even new, they need to be cleaned and lubed with a silicone lube. You'll thank me. Otherwise they stick and are either off or high.
Some good yard sales there. Those coleman stoves and lanterns are cool, but the propane ones just aren't as good as the older white gas stuff IMO. I pass on the propane stuff all the time, but I'm a sucker for old white gas stoves and lanterns. Those are getting into antique territory nowadays and can be worth a lot.
That was a nice haul. All those Coleman products. Liked the vintage mallets! Blessings
Yea I thought the mallets were awesome!
I always leave the propane Coleman stuff behind the same goes for the newer white gas stoves unless it's a three or a single burner
My wife has been a yard sale expert for years, buying good deals for resale. I can send her out with $20 and she can come home with a car load of stuff. Then once a month we set up at the flea market. We usually turn a good profit and we get to spend time together.
I’m not the only one with a blanket ladder in my house. Sweet. 😂
Look... I just wanted to say that we picked up a toolbox from a garage sale recently because of y'alls videos. We purchased for $25 and have already had around $100+ in sales. And the toolbox is worth around $50 alone! Never sleep on the tools! BOLO!
NIce!!! im glad to hear that! alot of people walk by tools and there is some great money in them
Woodworking is an expensive hobby but yard sales make it much more affordable!
I wish I could find yard sells like that!
You got a steal on the camping gear. Thanks for sharing.
Definitely a solid deal 😀
I understood Kayla's ladder jingle. That little rascal!
Right on
If you are going to buy speakers, you have to pop off the covers and check the foam around the edges. If the foam is worn, or missing you will have to take them apart, pick up a kit and install new foam before anyone will purchase them and you will have to know what you are doing when you install the new foam. I just picked up a set of $600 speakers with the foam worn away for $40. I will be installing new foam and high end capacitors because they wear out too and degrade the sound quality.
Hello bearded man and his wife. Hope your having a good weekend
Thank you so much!! You too !
I bought a nice set of Ping irons. The 5 iron was missing the weight. I called Ping and they said they will replace the weight for no charge! They even sent me a FedEx label to ship 2 day to them. So maybe you can get those weights replaced on that putter by calling the manufacturer.
Love the tool info you shared. Happy selling!
hopefully its helpful when out there picking =) thanks so much for watching!
Great buys on the clubs and tools. You did well on everything! Have a wonderful Sunday ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
It was definitely a good day
Good pickups! I don't always test power tools myself if the price is low enough - but I will put them under my nose and check for the smell of burnt windings or brushes. I keep a small bucket of the throwaway Chinese wrenches around for times I might need to grind one for clearance or bend one using a torch.
Love the tip of keeping the bucket of "specialty wrench stock"
I burned a few motors the past 40 years and I know that smell
I guessed $5 for the ladder and I was right lol love Kayla and her freebies !!! If it's free, it's for me ! Great video and you did extremely well on the golf clubs and tools !
Right on with the 🪜 :) 😀 free is the best
Me too!! Love free
I love a good yard sale! Sadly, most if not all of them in my area consist of used Wally World clothing and broken everything else.
Location. Location! Location!!!
Go to a more affluent area and you won't be disappointed!
A couple weekends ago I bought a Hoyt compound bow that was missing the string and needed a couple other minor repairs. I paid $40 for it, spent about $30 getting it in fine working condition. They gave me $180 AT THE PAWN SHOP! I'm totally hooked on finding stuff like that. Great video as always!
BOOM!! now thats a find!
That’s awesome. I need to follow your lead.
Used bows can be a tough sell because they depreciate so much even after a year old.Brand name bows lose half their value in one year and hard core bow hunters have to have the latest and greatest toys every year.
@@andysinn8655 I know very little about bows other than it was worth my time to make a few bucks. Especially when a friend that likes that stuff and owes me a favor or two did the repairs, and the pawn shop is half a block from my place.
Cute idea for blankets ❤🎉
Nice finds! Love learning the tools from you!
Today we also found some good ones 😀
@@beardedthriftmachine Nice!
I thrift and live like a QUEEN 👑. I get there early be sweet and polite and go through everything. Then if needed I bargain. It's a great life😊
I’m just happy your wife sang “the Little Rascals song”. I gotta nickel. I got a nickel. I got a nickel, hey, hey, hey, hey.
thanks for the tips on the tools & fishing stuff
:) Thanks so much for watching
2:00 am and I’m watching this brotha. Good stuff man I’m jealous of that router holy smokes!!!
Nice finds. I would've been in heaven.. with all the fishing gear.
i know right!!! some great cheap gear and thats hard to find nowadays
Please show the completed "ladder" project... would love to see how it looks! ~ Amy 🤩
I'll definitely have to show it - I edited this video pretty so she was still placing the correct blankets lol
My first time catching your channel! So enjoyed it! You did really well on those tools, my late husband was a body man and did some mechanic work for special friends! This means I was very familiar with what you picked up! Subscribed because I enjoyed you, but when your wife got that ladder for five bucks, I knew I had something in common with her also! Happy shopping!
Love the wrenches and clubs!! Easy to list, easy to ship!!
100% i like shipping metal stuff lol
Great buys there for sure 😊 I see lots of great stuff I could use 😊
I made my own mallet (not hammer) like that. It's great for tenderizing steaks. Good pick-up on the stove, you should ALWAYS have an alternate way to cook food. Don't forget to stock up on fuel.
I have binge watched your videos since finding your channel a few days ago. Your making me want to start the Ebay thing again. I did it a little bit and got busy and quit. I may start again with the stuff I already have horded in the workshop from garage sales.
it really is fun and a great way to make some money - =) thank you so much for watching the channel - i really appreciate it
I am in need of a lob wedge lol. Love the ladder idea, I should get my wife one. She had more blankets than a retirement home.
LOL just get like a 10 ft extension ladder lol
Great for both of you❣️Go Kayla❣️🐾🐾🌻🌻🌻☮️💋
Thanks so much for watching!
Just stumbled on your video; looks like you got a good system there, the flip side of your garage/yard sale finds is having a good shipping plan for those items after you list them on eBay or whatever your preferred online selling format is. I personally always get screwed on the shipping it seems and that’s even doing a close estimate on weight and package dimensions. Using that putter as an example, what packaging would you use and how do you decide what to charge to ship to say Maine? The other trick is, you have to be able to wait out your items meaning it could take 2-3weeks for someone to buy that putter on EBay.
It's calculated shipping through ebay - then we use pirate ship to buy the label. So a putter 4x4x40 box weights 2lbs going to Maine close to $8 shipping ups
I picked up two tools at a yard sale and I consider them to be one of the best purchases I've ever made. The first one was a 16 ounce Estwing hammer that still had stickers on it for $2.00 . The second one was a heavy mattock digging tool. Just the head, which I paid $0.50 for. I needed such a tool for various projects around the house. I took the time to clean the head up and repaint it with the red that I paint my yard tools with at the end of season and I bought a new fiberglass handle for it. The darn thing is pretty much indestructible . I'm a carpenter that doesn't frame anymore but my job has me hanging doors and repairs etc. So the 16 ounce was a great purchase and I use it every day
I love the ladder!!!
Kayla loves it - now in the house with blankets
We need a photo of the ladder w/blankets.
I used to snap my neck for yard sales. I'm at the age where I'm now dejunking. Not trying to sell things, but just giving them away.
The Coleman stove, if can be found used or new, being resold, is generally always worth it. The older versions, if not rusted out, are definitely worth getting. I picked up a small stove that uses the small spray can type fuel, in well used condition forfree just by asking about it.
I would’ve paid $100 for that router. When it was made, it was THE router to have and they were made to last.
You guys are so cute. Kayla always snaggin them bargains and teaching you new things. Dude knew what he had in those wrenches. LOL
100%
How do you ship golf clubs and about how much does it cost?
One thing I loved about living in Texas was the garage/yard sales.
I stopped going because everyone wanted to much 😢
that mac combination wrench that you have there is a CL 20 it is a left handed combination wrench. I know you think I'm being funny, a left handed wrench, but you can see for yourself. Lay the wrench down beside any of the other combination wrenches with the box end pointing up , notice that the other wrenches all have an open end with the jaws pointing towards the left. Now look at the CL 20 and notice that the open end jaws point towards the right. that's because it gives the left handed person mechanical advantage, where as the others are advantaged in favor of the right handed person. you learn something every day. it would be nice to have a whole set of those wrenches
Crazy your location! I purchased a new one in 2002 a 4-ch amp surround 5.1 (5) speakers mint with 4 stands absolutely no offers for $50.00 on OfferUp! So I donated it to the Good Will.
I always buy Coleman Stoves and Lanterns
I buy old corded Milwaukee and other corded power tools dirt cheap for shop use. You can never have too many quality angle grinders, drills etc and while I've plenty of cordless their bulk isn't a bonus on the workbench or for tasks like drilling pilot, intermediate and finishing holes in steel. For that I have a pail of drills with bits installed. Hardware sits in the bottom. I can afford any cordless too I want but corded have their place and if money is tight or you're a home user corded is sufficient.
Amen! I would rather have old corded tools that work right now instead of having to save up for cordless. Besides, I'm still learning woodworking, and I can always upgrade later by selling stuff I've built!
I just want to say, I watch every video you and Kayla put out and I absolutely love your content. I resell on the side, and not only are your vids informable but you both are wholesome honest and relatable. I appreciate you both. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much! I appreciate this comment and I truly thank you for watching
Same
That wooden hammer is actually a wooden mallet I have looked for one since I was young my dad had one he used looked like it
9:39 those are awesome tools and a great buy!
Definitely! :)
Every yard sale here in SoCal people are like trying to pay off their house with the sales- sheesh This one is a good one-good job
You stole that Coleman stove for $10. Hell of a deal.
def a good deal
I feel your pain Kayla, blankets laying around everywhere! Time for me to go ladder hunting!
lol =)
Kayla has a blanket ladder now! Yeah! ( : It was a lot of guy tag sales! Great finds at all of them, though! Awesome tools! ( : Thode golf clubs were anazing too! ( : Can't wait to see the rest of the day's sales! Yesss! ( :
This was a crazy good day - we have had some crazy good sales this year
Every husband in the world, "What are you going to do with that?" Every wife in the world, "You wait and see." Thanks for sharing.
So true
It's early January. I'm waiting for May. That Porter Cable router for $10.00 is a buy. I have routers from little trim units up to 3 1/2 hp. I set up routers in plywood tables with cabinet door bits of varying profiles or other bits and leave them. Do a final adjustment and never touch them again. I can buzz out door parts quick that way.
She got her ladder, lol. That’s awesome.
Porter-Cable router is a work horse. Still made and spare parts still available!
I guessed $5 on the ladder!!!!!! I do pretty good on a lot of hair colors, especially the ones discontinued or hard to find.
100% on the discontinued hair color
Every garage seller knows the young guy isn't looking for stuff for personnel use. It's hard to get a good deal around where I live. Most of the time, people have close to retail on everything but clothes. Why are clothes priced cheap at sales? I have jeans never washed that my son wore once that cost $140, yet I can't get $20 for them at a sale. I've put brand new clothes with tags on them and still can't get but 50 cents for them. I don't find name brand stuff often but when I do, the sellers know and I often end up telling them I'll be the new one for that price and get the warranty. Most suppliers are checking to see if you bought the item from them. If you didn't, they won't exchange it even though it has a lifetime warranty. Ebay has screwed me several times and so I haven't listed anything in yrs. It really sucks to charge $40 for shipping on something that cost $90 to ship, yet ebay comes back and says I charged too much for shipping and makes me refund the money or have my acct suspended.
Camping equipment, tools anything outdoorsy it's always the first to sell at every garage sale u just gotta get there first though 😁
=) i know right!
Stick the caps in the top rack of the dishwasher. They'll come out clean and not messed up.
Wow. Great scores!!
Thanks so much for watching
@@beardedthriftmachine ALWAYS
The ladder looks like the one my brother and I had on our bunk bed when we were kids
Nice to hear about the tools: brands and what to look for! Thanks!
😀
Don't forget that anything hand tool and snap on is lifetime warranty regardless if you bought it used or not
You know it's a good video when I'm interested... I'm a gamer and somehow found this fascinating. For sure liking the video 😂😂
Nice finds!🤗🫶🏻
Thanks so much for watching
Show us the ladder and blankets!
Lol when I edited the video she hadn't placed the blankets on it yet
🎉wow! DEALS! 🎉🎉
Thanks so much for watching!
If you double box speakers and electronics it substantially increases the chances of arrival in one piece
I always look for name brand items, especially in tools bc almost 100 percent of the time they are life time warrateed!
Kayla, the queen of the freebie boxes!
Very true
The Coleman stuff was a steal!!
Had a bunch of old school auto stuff, timing lights etc. wow that stuff sold quick, and lawn mowers I picked up and repaired. Wish I had more to sell
I made one of those ladders for my Wife to put blankets on. Then we had a litter of puppies chew the bottom of it lol
Lol 🤣
I paid $269 in 2000 for a new Porter Cable router. That was before Black&Decker bought the company and turned the tools to junk
Coleman stoves are great in the South. Hurricane season hits and you may be happy you have one.
So glad to find your channel
one of many best deals for me came a few weeks ago at a thrift shop.. bought 4 skids of used sport court flooring at $40 each, and sold them on facebook 2 weeks later for $2,750
My crude mind when you walked up to that guy and asked, "How much for your putter?" Priceless!
Good yard sale. Many I have been to suck!
I just love y'all's videos ❤❤ Awesome couple ❣️❣️
thank you so much =)
Great info on tools!
Keep everything in that's made in America, ,experts, made hear😊
I wish they had good stuff like this where I live.
You got good stuff at your yard sales, around here it's just kids clothes and t shirts.
I love your wife with the free boxes. Just like mine. Haha. 😊❤
We had yard sale here past 2 days as part of our citywide yard sale bit. Sold 3 slim boxes of nascar diecast still in package for $275 & I paid only $60 for them initially. Sold a whole suv full of trading cards of all 4 sports genre for $400 & initially paid like $225
Boom!!! Making that money!
Yepper. N in past 3 days including dismorning we had 4 items marked paid n sold to now 5 as another item just sold minutes ago. All items sold total of $130 including shipping
It was dvd of tribute of buddy Holly n richie valen n others last concert back from 57 before they crashed
Thank you great information
Double dog dare u Julian to dye ur beard blonde 😂😅. Nice pick up on ladder. Another good video 😊. God bless stay safe until the next video 💓 😍
Lol 🤣 it's naturally being dyed gray right now lol
I'm surprised you didn't make it to the 40+ mile yard sale from Modoc to Batesburg this weekend June2-3
The a/c in the Tahoe went out - I spent most of that time trying to fix it. Hopefully I can it up and running for the 127 in August
Great finds!
Thanks so much for watching!!
I look for computers and components, as I rebuild these for a church projects. I found several laptops for almost nothing, the only thing wrong is that they had older versions of Windows installed. Easy fixed, as I install Linux and even an old IBM Thinkpad can be used on the internet using Puppy Linux. Also I look for stuff to fit the 3rd generation Ford Ranger.
rainbow!!!! my putter for 40 years!
