Baby Giraffe Welcomed at Houston Zoo
Keepers at Houston Zoo had an overnight delivery with a difference last weekend, when they arrived at work to find a newborn baby giraffe.
Footage released by the Houston Zoo on May 1 shows Tino, the baby giraffe born to mom Kamili overnight into Saturday, April 27.
According to the zoo, the keepers knew that Kamili was pregnant but didn’t know the exact delivery date and were surprised when they found the baby giraffe on Saturday morning.
Tino weighs 160 pounds and stands at an impressive six feet, the zoo said.
