  • People don't get that 8 months of genuine wars in training everyday when you are so genetically and athletically gifted is going to do very different things compared to an average person rolling a couple hours a day for 8 months lol

  • Given that ADCC has a wrestling dominant rule set. Nicky had a huge advantage against anyone with his elite wrestling background. He's been grappling in some capacity, more athletically, for over a decade. In fact, probably since he was 4.

    @OsynctuC@OsynctuC3 ай бұрын
    • I wouldn’t say he had a huge advantage over his competitors bc of his wrestling .. His wrestling background isn’t that elite, it got him there but its not an advantage considering everyone he competed against were black belts who had competed at adcc before and trained majority of their lives as well.

      @JLJE54@JLJE543 ай бұрын
    • There's nothing "wrestling dominant" about a ruleset that attracts buttscooters because it has no points for the first half and no pins

  • Grapplers that Start in Jiu Jitsu No-Gi will always be a little crappier than Wrestlers that are taught at a very Young age to always do explosive movements n go Hard AF like Nicky Rod. Hes don't t do Gi cause the Gi will slow n Sap his energy level hella fast. Plus remember he went from Wrealting to a high level gym that goes hella hard not some Hobbiest gym that frowns on white belts going crazy n hurting some 40ish(like me) who have jobs. For one i like seeing Nicky Rod Compete n love watching ADCC. The wrestlers make it so much more fun. Remi ds me of Jiu Jitsu schools in California fro. 20yrs ago when everyone in the gym wanted to be a cage fighter 🫡
