What is Roblox? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 13 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. They can then explore ROBLOX - interacting with others by chatting, playing games, or collaborating on creative projects. Each player is also given their own piece of undeveloped real estate along with a virtual toolbox with which to design and build anything - be it a navigable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer “Capture the Flag” game or some other, yet-to-be-dreamed-up creation. There is no cost for this first plot of virtual land. By participating and by building cool stuff, ROBLOX members can earn specialty badges as well as ROBLOX dollars (“Robux”). In turn, they can shop the online catalog to purchase avatar clothing and accessories as well as premium building materials, interactive components, and working mechanisms.

  • Roblox's report/ban system is something that numerous Roblox users have complaints about. Many would say that the system is very unfair and strict, while some would say that it is a very effective system to filter out the bad people in Roblox. The system is designed to ban users who write inappropriate things on their profiles, games, etc. This also includes users who have been reported, regardless of whether they made a mistake or not. Users who have been reported must go through moderation before they actually receive a punishment, so if they did not do anything wrong, there would be a very low chance that they will actually end up with a punishment. The moderation is called the "Deletion Phase" of the user. If a user gets banned for a day to 3 days, this would most likely indicate that the user received a Deletion. But what if the user did not do anything wrong? This is one of the reasons why the report system is very unfair, because even if there is evidence of the user doing something wrong, there would be a slim chance that he will accept the fact and will in turn report the person who reported him back. The reason for this is that the user does not want to get banned, so by doing this there is a chance that he could get away from it, punishing the false reporter. The false reporter will get a warning from the moderators about his behavior but will not receive any punishment even if he did admit to the act that the user reported him for. 1.1 Overview of Roblox's Report / Ban System Roblox's report/ban system has been controversial for a long time now, with some players getting banned for unfair reasons, while others who have broken major rules getting off without a punishment. The way the report/ban system works is when somebody reports a player, he or she gets a strike on their account. Get enough strikes and you'll get a ban at a certain amount of time depending on the severity of the rules you broke. Strikes last 1 year from when you got the first strike. Gone a whole year without getting any more strikes? The first strike from before now expires. This means if you get 3 strikes at once you'll get a 3-month ban. A bit unfair as a strike 3 times is the same as getting 1 strike 3 times. Plus, 3-year bans are too long; both strikes are there for the same amount of time. A ban lasting longer than the time it takes for the strike to expire is unfair. Strike severity lasts a bit too long too, as there's less gap between the minor and major strike severity times. Strike severity should last half the time of the ban you would get for the severity of the strike. For example, a minor strike for 1 week, if it goes up to 1 month then major should have a 2-month ban. A bit excessive to be honest, as you're trying to teach the offender a lesson. A too long punishment will have the player simply coming back to the game a stranger shifted to older events. 1.2 Purpose of the Work Roblox's unfair report/ban system is a dissertation written by MrNicNac. This dissertation was written on February 1, 2015, when Phantom Forces was still fairly new. The reason for the dissertation was the constant false bans that were not able to be resolved. At the time, the system for reporting bans had been wiped, and Nutt found himself banned yet again. Desperate to find a way he could resolve this, the idea of contacting a Roblox moderator directly surfaced. This, at the time, was a very stupid idea, but it had been done. Nutt contacted the moderator over Twitter and questioned why he had been banned and if it could be resolved. Of course, asking the wrong guy can result in poor consequences. In this case, Nutt had attracted an enemy. That enemy was another Roblox moderator who was known for being corrupt and had also been exiled out of the Roblox community. This moderator used his powers to corrupt Nutt's group and managed to replace Nutt with a new account he had made. Surprisingly, the account that had taken Nutt's position along with his group was alternate. This whole incident had caused many stressful weeks with the confusion of what had happened and where Nutt had gone. His new account had been overrun by multiple bans on popular games and eventually got a road to perma-ban. This was Mr333y, and as stated in his about me, he was banned several times for things he didn't even do. This ban incident had led MrNicNac to the point of writing an exposed article on the moderator that had caused all this trouble, but he later decided that it was for the better and used it as an experience to prevent further wrongs that could be done by Roblox moderators. This incident was only a stepping stone onto the many false bans that would be recorded for years to come.

If you’re jealous, use one yourself. Or is it just an excuse for how bad or mad you are? Lastly, Tanqr is a singular player who is an overall good player. Just because he doesn’t do something doesn’t mean it it’s cowardly or not allowed.
