Kept on spinning out on 4 and 5 gear on the snow parts, my wife just called me at work to let me know my gear shifter has arrived.. I can't wait to get back on after a 12 hr work shift.. Amazing video! I have a G29 but I’m going to have to retire from sim racing due to my knees hurting after I play and I can’t screw up everything else going on in my life for this. I’ve tried everything to improve ergonomics but they still hurt after I play. If you are reading this, make sure to setup your rig as ergonomic as possible from the beginning

If possible with your G29, you could try using the clutch as the brake pedal to give you more space. But I don't think that's possible on the g29.. Alternatively, a different pedal set with adjustable spacing could help. For example, Fanatec's CSL DD pedals from the 'Ready to Race' bundle offer great adjustability. They don't include a clutch, so you can set the throttle and brake as far apart as you need. While there's a noticeable detail enhancement with the Simucube compared to my old CSL DD, the Fanatec CS DD+ has closed that gap significantly. My experience with the CS DD+ has been exceptional, and it's on par with the industry's best, including the Simucube 2 Pro in my opinion. Fanatec's anticipated Full Force update should elevate its performance even more (if Fanatec is to be believed). I also want to point out that I am affiliated eith Fanatec, Moza and others, but that's my honest opinion! This sentiment is echoed by numerous KZheadrs who also praise the CS DD+ for its superb performance. If you opt for the Simucube 2 Pro, it's definitely a fantastic choice, albeit at a higher price. @grandeprimo, glad to help! 🙌 I'd say the DD+ has a slight edge over the DD2 in terms of performance-it's subtle but noticeable. However, if you already own a DD2, the upgrade to DD+ might not be a huge leap unless you're really looking for that incremental improvement or can sell your DD2 at a good price. Then there's the Full Force update, which is exclusive to the DD+ and could be a game-changer. While its full impact is yet to be seen, it could potentially widen the gap between the DD+ and DD2, possibly making the DD+ the best wheel base on the market?
All you need now is a PS5 and a copy of GT7 to go with your DD+. I would love to see that happen, you would be awesome!

But if you to do a copy of my setup, then my eyes are about 85cm away from the center screen and I have the screens at 73 degrees. Never measured the hight of the steering wheel, but I would change it a bit if I didn't do videos anyway..

I fell in the rabbithole of sim racing (I literally spent 1 whole day researching) and I went ahead and bought the thrustmaster TMX as I read it's a great starter and has a hybrid belt / gear design instead of only gear, do you have any opinion / experience with this or the t150? like how close of an immersive experience could I get with that in your opinion compared to a DD? but right now im on a budget so i found the tmx for 200€ and bought it (other shops had it for like 250€) and i saw logitech G923 for 289€ discount of 100€. g29 & g920 were around the same price with no discount) the T300RS - GT Edition would have been 400€ and cheapest DD i have found so far the moza R3 Racing Bundle I found 1 shop selling for 360€. I didn't want logitech because of the crappy software and the loud gear noises i heard it make in reviews:D I can imagine the general feeling in the hands of a DD in my mind and even that already makes me have second thoughts should have I invested in the moza R3 instead xD I'm in a really tight spot so i could not do that rn. So i'm just wondering what kind of experience compared to a cheaper DD I can expect from the tmx. (it's being shipped to me rn) I also purchased the aliexpress shifter for 30€ + 20€ shipping. I believed it's much better than the logitech shifter and also universal and not only made for 1 specific wheel. My plans for the tmx are to install a real Aftermarket steering wheel and 3D print an adaptor so it's possible, and maybe down the line modify / install better motor inside for better/faster force feedback or the responsiveness whatever I would gain from various mods. And I know the tmx pedals suck but might aswell modify them to the best of their ability, and later buy good pedals independently.

If you're really looking for a more immersive experience, I'd strongly recommend saving a bit more for a direct drive (DD) system! @@ProjectSimRacing Thanks for the detailed answer and I have to agree, I guess now when i get the tmx and get into it, I will either love or hate the experience, and which ever it will be I'm 99% sure I'm getting myself a DD kit in the future ANYWAYS XD cuz I've driven my go kart me & my dad built from a go kart base since the Good old days when I was under 10yo now 21 so I already have the love for the racing:) I guess this tmx will be a great starter and later a backup wheel and fun modding experiment, and to get a feel to sim racing and then later invest a bit more money for the more immersive gear. and yes YOUR videos made me pull the trigger;) I'm going to update you once I've got a good feel on the tmx and the china shifter xD Thanks also for the recommendation and the link for the bundle, you know your stuff so that's 1 solid upgrade option for sure and for a decent price too!
