We went on a cruise from San Diego To Fort Lauderdale and film a timelapse while passing in Panama Canal.
How Panama Canal Works In Fast Forward Mode. Shot from the Gatun Locks going to Atlantic ocean. This shot is a timelapse of how panama canal works. The greatest engineering of the 1900s. #panamacanal How Panama Canal Works In Timelapse
Its a place that you should enjoy at least ones in life... passing from ocean to ocean just in few hours and having an amazing view...
@@NEGAN69 so they wouldnt have to dig as deep that was cheaper and easier
@@NEGAN69they tried, it was too hard and dangerouse
@@NEGAN69France tried it and thousands of people died
@@NEGAN69They did tried but thousands of workers died in the process. It's a different story for Suez Canal where the desert is a flat land.
Love this Canal System. #DidYouKnow that the Panama Canal helps cruise ships save about 8000 miles on their journey by bypassing the treacherous Cape Horn?
Did you know the Panama Canal uses no electricity to operate? It uses a gravity fed system
Did you know they excavated through land to build canal and cost about 12 bucks
Did you know panama Canal is dying in short of water.
Did you know the Country of panama was separated from colombia with the help of US military which helped the rebels so that the new formed government of panama will allow US to build the canal. After helping the panamanian rebels US also screw them too by taking control of the canal zone for Indfinite time by the notorious Hay-Bunau-Varilla treaty which was written in very misleading way to favour US control over the canal
@@googlemeet-center.8209 exactly 😢
Just one major flaw of the Panama canal is that it loses water every time a ship goes through even in the drought the ships were forced to carry less or they would hit the sharp rocks.
It has rivers flowing in to balance out the water loss
They should have made ocean water pumped from both sides, Atlantic and Pacific, to prevent such environmental disasters.
@@pappapappi9177 they can't because that water reservoir is used for drinking and others
The lock system is awesome 👏🏻
One side goes up, the other one goes down. Simple yet fascinating!
Brooo....This look like a place in Oggy
Yes... that 'River Ride' episode where he took Ollie with him on the boat. There was actually this kind of system in the river😮😮
Good job of canal enginears ideas
Amazing and beautiful scene 👍👍👍👍👍
Right now, 9/2023, drought is limiting how much cargo ships carry !
Yes my Panamá is biutyful
American built (;
@@ThugDollXOUSA is the north no america central? 😮
@@ThugDollXOfairly global effort though. Maybe American engineered and led but when it came to the grunt work of the actual building that was migrant labour from all over including the Caribbean.
@thayquin3216 it really, really is!! Just visited for the first time and it's an incredible place with the friendliest people. ¡Buenas!
Engineering masterpiece
“ I was in a ghost ship in a ghost canal, the whole thing creep me the hell out.” Max Payne, 2012
Awesome engineering. Do you know if people use the canal to cross over for traveling or it's strictly for shipping businesses?
They can use both. Cruise ships pass here as well.

I helped my father in law bring his 70’ motor yacht from Marina DelRey in California around to Texas a few years ago (over a 2 yr period) and going through the Panama Canal was the highlight of the trip.
Wow!
Engineering marvel!
who remembered this was shown in oggy and the cockroaches
Here
My heart weeps for the kids😢😢😢
What would happen if the shutters of the Panama Canal, which connects the Pacific Ocean with the Atlantic Ocean, were to collapse?
The water from the Gatun Lake will flow into the ocean
Are they making the ship climb? By increasing water level
Yes
no its going down
@@unpull. it"s going up at pasific-atlantic route
The other side you can see is for climbing but this side for going down

Amazing American engineering
well of course, the canals on central America what did you expect? good italian engineering?
@@jonnyblayze5149 You have me dying right now. But I mean like engineering from the states. Since It was an American endeavor
@@diegok2245 lol actaully French, the same guy who built the suez canal. Then taken up by the United States.
@@diegok2245 but yes indeed i consider it American by way of the United States.
@@jonnyblayze5149the French failed at constructing it
Imagine rush hour in the canal

Very long term process.

meh, i think its dated and there are easier ways to do it now.
Does it really take that long?? I noticed night fall lol
Yes. It takes 1 hour to cross per locks
I love PC

This is one of the most fantastic humano job. Unfornatuly is with problem.

Is that ship the hydrangea?

It is my understanding that in order to pass through the canal way in either direction, you must coordinate and gain permission by working with a private firm that controls all the activities. That company is an arm of the Chinese government. What possible interest can they have in shipping to and from the Gulf of Mexico? Does anyone see a problem here?
Absolutely a problem if that is true. But I have no idea about that.
@@RGandRea look it up.
It isn't controlled by china its operated by panama as a neutral port if anyone tried to take over the canal the US treaty even post 1999 transfer back to Panama would enact US intervention immediately
@@TheSupart91 you are incorrect. Read up a bit on the corporations who control all access through the canal in each direction.
@@larrysorenson4789 lol idk where you get your info from but it specifically says in the post transfer treaty its to remain a neutral pass thru port/canal and US intervention will happen if china or any foreign government tries to influence it

Instead they could dig a concrete canal as a forever pass through path between two points,
if only it was that easy
Almost ten years passing that canal from USA to South America and vice versa during my seaman days and seing blonde girls and spent hundreds of dollars. Remembering those days is only like a dream. You wana sailor men and drop your anchor anywhere men. Now Im already 69 senior na.
Good 💯❤

Amazing
Why showing in fast mode ? Can't understand it clearly
You would never appreciate if this film in regular speed. It took me 1 hour to shoot this.
@@RGandRea May be.. but this seems edited.. anyway if it really took so long then great work..
Looking to the video you know what the problem... It just starts to get dark for so long it takes
Why they continuously close the gates ?
So the water could fill inside.
So the water stays the same level
What happens if u open it, does the water rush in to the other ocean and level the water?
It won't open unless the water is level to where the ship is heading.
@@RGandRea oh cool, but what if someone hacks it or just hijacks it and opens all 3 water lock door things
The water from the top may flow through the Atlantic and Pacific
@@RGandRea would the water levels increase/decrease depending on which side of the canal
The water level from the Lake would definitely decreases if you open all the gates in the canal
Tou fazendo estudo preciso saber Se nao tivesse o canal panama qual seria a rota pra chega ao Brasil Preciso dessa resposta Qual o custo teria a mas
The worst thing made by humans is that it wastage a lot of water for passing a 1 ship And that water is not resuce😢😢😢 Harmful for natural climates........
Do you understand that oceans keep rising more, because of global warming? Why the heck you are worrying about water, when we have problems with global warming?

I will visit panama canal sea port one day
But I heard the toll gate there is expensive
Why should had passage of wall?
Aren't they all at the same level. Why decreasing or increasing water level is necessary...😮
So the ship can pass. It's like and escalator for ships

i like the canal panama bro -_-
Y yo que pensaba que el nivel del mar era una constante 😂😂😂
It’s is the canal goes through a lake that’s above sea level.
😅
Hi
What an environment disaster!
🤔Ships can cross the canal in another way, with the help of which a lot of ship's diesel will also be saved. But y I tell world what should give me 😂🤔
