In all of my years of being prescribed nasal sprays, not once has anyone showed me how to actually use it. Thank you for the informative and straight to the point video.
You would think the doctor would show you how to use on when he prescribes it wouldn't you? No good though if it still doesn't work (I should know I've tried dozens). Only thing that helped my sinus issues was a natural nasal spray I got three months back that has cinnamon, cumin and manuka in it. Haven't used it since and I'm sorry but I keep forgetting its blasted name! At least now I can sleep at night and I'm not plagued with my sinus issues.
Thanks you Dr
I bet in all your years of being prescribed nasal sprays, not once has a doctor explained the relationship between allergies and diet. Diet can suppress your immune system which has direct impact on allergies. Your doc will have no problem giving you prednisone, only 1% chance your hips disintegrate into dust, or developing cushings disease, or hypertension, or diabetes. I went from blowing my nose 100x per day for years and having terrible polyps to my nose being 90% open and never runny. Don't eat anything processed. Everything cooked from scratch. No bad oils. Eat lots of quality meat, very limited heavy carbs like bread, lots of vegetables, herbs and seasonings, limited amount of fruit, as basic as possible.
@Chris Hayes that's too tall of an order not everyone has time for all of that dieting and eating the right things all of the time. Truth is. Some people just have bad allergic rhinitis. I'm not saying it wouldn't behoove one to be more mindful of what they eat and to minimize things like sugar to low amounts
Thanks Doctor
this is the most professional well spoken man I ever seen. I couldn’t talk like this even if I tried
I agree and was thinking the same thing. This doctor is awesome and I'd love it if he was my physician! Absolutely flawless!
It's ridiculous that doctors prescribe this without giving proper instructions on how to use it! The directions in the box aren't even very clear!! No wonder I'm not seeing any improvement after using this for several weeks!

this video really helpful
you are right.
Agreed! Also heard it can almost take up to a month for it to start actually kicking in where you can start seeing the results. Not sure though this is the first time for me
You are supposed to ask the pharmacist qestions when you get it tho, like i do and then they show you.
I did it this way and I feel the medication finally hit me. Nobody teaches us how to properly spray but it makes so much difference. Thank you
This was a great straight to the point, no nonsense guide. Thank you.

excellent ... could not be better ... Thankyou !!!
Did this for the first time and I gotta say, you can feel it spray in your nostrils at the right location. Nobody ever taught me this after all these years 😂
Me too…. I feel ya! 🙄🤷🏻♀️
does it hurt by any chance?

I have been using my sprays wrong this entire time, what a difference using his instructions ❤️
Since I watched this video a couple of years ago, my life have changed. Thanks, doc.
As a person who generally struggles a lot with sinus issues and has been prescribed nasal spray on numerous occasions, literally no doctor has EVER told me this! Tried it now and worked immediately!
Ayyyayyayiii this whole time ive been swollowing the medicine yakkk....
😂😂😂😂😂😂

Me too hahahaha
Just swallowed as well
Ugh...nasal spray tastes SO BAD.
This was so clear, and so much more simple now. Wish I’d been taught this years ago!
I’m glad I ended up seeing this video, I’ve been doing it wrong all this time. Thank you Doc!
Me too!
I've been using these instructions for about two years now...!!! Perfect
Thank you 🙏🏻 Dr. Abbas 👏 for taking the time to make this! Including your explanations (why) really helped make sure we this the right way! 😃🌻
Wow.... thank you very much. I think the problem in the medical field is ultimately time. Simple things like this yes Ive been told dozens of times how to do this and always ended up with repeated bloody nose and it took me 10 times of watching you do it until I was ready to do it WITH you to realize Ive never done it correctly. Some people comprehension is slower than others and directions aren't always clear and here I am almost 30 and I've just now used it correctly for the first time. Thank you very much. I'm glad we have these outlets to learn at our own pace.
My nurse just gave me instructions for first use, looks like she deserve a medal or something given how many people never got instructions 😊
Very informative and the doctor explaining sounds very professional and clear. I wish more doctors are like this
Thank you so much for the info. I have been doing this wrong my whole life and wondering why I got no relief. This video is a game changer!
Thank you Dr. Abbas for taking your time to create and post this video.
Great perfect demonstration Dr . Gregory . Thank you for sharing. I noticed I was spraying it wrong , but I came across your video and now I know the correct way in order to get good results.
This video was very informative. I always thought that you sniffed when you took a nasal spray but now I see I was wrong. Doctors should definitely teach you how to do it before prescribing the medication. Great video.
Thank you so much for this video. I felt my spray wasn't working but this morning I tried it as you showed, and I can feel an improvement now.
Best ever demonstration of proper inhaling technique. Thank You!
Thank you so much I have been using my pump for years. this is the first time it has not gone down my throat. So grateful.from London.
Thanks for pointing me to this video! I have been using Flonase for a few years and I have been doing in wrong. Dr. Abbas cauterized a blood vessel for me several months ago in my left nostril, but occasionally after use I would still have slight, not severe nose bleeds. I'm left handed and typically use my left hand for the spray. I apparently have been spraying the Flonase on my septum and that's what has been causing me these nose bleeds. Obviously it's worse in the winter. This helps tremendously!
Thanks! Have a nasty sinus infection, wanted to make sure I was doing it right. Much appreciated!
Doctor is amazing thanks been using it wrong all this time really helpful video, by the way this Doctor has the most calmest gentle voice ever 👍🏻
I’ve always avoided using nasal spray because I hated sucking it into my nose! I’m so glad I know the right way to do it now, thank you! 👃🏻
This is so helpful. I just started the spray today and according to this video did it wrong so I'm glad I found this when I did! Thank you!
Same here
I been doing this wrong for years no wonder why I hates taking this !! Thanks for showing me the right way to take it it feels so much better and not leaking in the back of my throat
always thankful for people like him,THANKS
This was way more information than my doctor gave me. Much appreciated!
LOL, thought I was silly looking for such a vid and here it is. Amazing how a moment of instruction can help us adjust for the better. Thank you for posting Sir!
I wondered why I had a slight bloody nose in right nostril for the last couple of months. I am right handed and did not know I needed to switch hands. I was about to go to my doctor to find out what was wrong. I think I’ll give my right nostril a couple of days to heal, then start over using it the right way. Much appreciated!
Thank you very very much. The doctor I went to never told me this. This instructions really improved my situation. Keep up the good work. You are awesome.
After a page that had as many words as an encyclopedia nothing was disclosed on how to use it effectively. Thanks for this video.
Thanks Doc!! I've been using nasal sprays for years to find that I have been administering them wrong is somewhat of a relief.
I express many thanks to you! You provide much good information here. I was applying the medication incorrectly in many ways; for sure. I experience a VERY foul smell and taste from my sinuses for six weeks now and have been prescribed Flonase, which provides some relief. Hopefully, I will experience more relief after viewing your contribution to sufferers everywhere. Thanks again.....
I have a sinus infection too and it sucks. How did you get rid of it....this is my 8th day staying (and or gettin takin out of school early.) any info or tips would be great thx.
Very professional and well spoken guy, would love if my doctor was more like this.
That was a very helpful demonstration. My ENT told me to angle it, but didn’t say which way. Watched several videos on this topic tonight and found out why I keep having nose bleeding.
Dude you're such a great doctor! Love the breakdown! Keep it up!
Thank you SO MUCH for uploading this video! I'm desperate to get some relief from this congestion.

I'm so happy to find this interesting channel 💪🏾. I needed this video right now 😀
I never knew I was doing it wrong luckily I don’t use nasal spray really but today my doctor prescribed me and for some reason I searched here and I followed the directions and definitely there is a big difference. Thank you Dr.
Thank you so much for this! I have been using azelastine hcl and it was leaving a horrible taste in my throat and mouth. I used this technique for the first time and no more bitter/metallic after taste.
Dear Dr. Abbas: God bless you. Am 62 years last week I experienced nasal congestion Never knew the application of this nasal spray. Then came across your. I applied as demonstrated by you. It's remarkable. Many thanks
Stay thirsty my friend XX.
Finally, there is no nonsense informative guide on how to do this. Thank goodness the sniffing part especially helpful cause another said breathe through your mouth but it's good to know slight sniff is okay to keep it on track
I love the docs voice. So soothing
finally! no more of that stuff going in my throat.
Prity I know that always annoys me
Prity lucky you, stuff taste nasty when it is in your throat lol
@@gabe1431 yeah bit sour
I feel you those stock mucus on the throat
Yeah must not sniff sharply, but gently
You are awesome!!! I felt stupid googling how to use the nasal spray properly, but I had to, I just didn't feel it was working. Glad I'm not the only one who also tasted the meds going thru my throat~
Thank you Doctor for showing us the proper technique.
Wow! So simple, honest and helpful. Thanks.
A great demo! Good idea to spread each nostril before spraying & always remembering to point AWAY from the septum and with the opposite hand to the nostril ur addressing...at least with Nasonex for sinusitis. Doctors are mostly quite poor at giving detailed directions for use, perhaps bcos some tend to rush you through. I find pharmacists much better, but watching a demo always helps more. On a different but related issue re good med info, recently, I discovered that using a spacer, with a puffer, gives a much more efficient delivery...this was the FIRST doctor in 25 yrs who had ever told me that!! We have to be our own doctors, sometimes! 🥺
Whats a spacer how does one find it?
@@rigpod4821 thank you
You're a godsend, I've had a sore throat for about 10 years, and I've been using this product to cure my post nasal drip wrong for about 3 weeks!
How do you have sore throat for 10 WHOLE YEARS??
@@fred-d-boss Constant post nasal drip can cause that. I feel somewhat the same because of it.
Thank you Dr, I have been spraying my nasal spray wrong , now this is the best demonstration I have seen so far. I have been wondering why my nasal spray is not working.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I even have the same style bottle. Mine is the Equate brand of Fluticasone Propionate, the same thing as Flonase but a LOT cheaper. I was spraying it in like any other time I have sprayed a nose spray. Thanks Dr. Abbas!
it's my first time using the nasal spray and I followed your instructions. Thank you. :)

Thanks for this video, as I've been spraying wrong for 2 weeks. Go figure. What would be really helpful is to demo this on a dummy head with an enlarged canal to show exactly where we're supposed to spray in the nose.
that is extremely creative as i.know.i dont know what it looks like up there
2 weeks? How about 27 years? xD

Season after season I been doing it soooooo wrong. The package directions aren’t even this clear! Thanks so much! I feel a huge difference already!
I agree!
Wow… I’ve been doing it wrong all these years🤦🏾♀️ this video was so informative!! Thank you 😊
God Bless you Doc! This video is really helpful. I just sprayed one nostril before seeing your video. I totllay did it wrong. I was able to taste the medicine and it was disgusting. Made me feel nauseous. So glad I ran into this video. Sincerely, Ms. Cloggy Ears. I hope this cures my clogged ears:)
78sanaya did it work for clogged ears ?
78sanaya i was getting ready to post the same thing! doing it wrong the whole time.
This medicene is disgusting, both morally and literally, left me with rebound inflammation after stopping, i should never have used this pathetic excuse for a medicine
Mariah Pariah lol Flonase is morally disgusting? How? 😹
Mariah Pariah and you shouldn't be using it often enough that it causes rebound inflammation!
Thanks Doc! Hell of a tutorial and you must know because you actually used the spray! SOOO HELPFUL
Excellent demonstration,,with logic and clear understanding.
I think I have been doing it wrong all these years, thank you Dr. Abbas! I'm going to try out your way starting tomorrow
Brilliant doc! Never heard of doing it with the head down and pushing the nostril out!
But it works so well :)
WisdomAgreements People have been letting out smelly farts for centuries. It comes from the scent of King Brownie. Whether it’s smelly farts or King Brownie itself, something has to Come out, the same as BOOGERS. This stuff can’t stay in us until we take our Last breath, or we would have mountains of smelly farts, King Brownie and BOOGERS coming out all at once. The cemetery would not want all this just To bury people, so we’d be taken to the dump first, where they would have To deal with all this, and then to the cemetery. Nobody would want to cremate Someone if they had to cremate all this stuff too.
This was extremely helpful. I’ve been doing it wrong for months, no wonder it wasn’t effective
Did it gave you any side effects
This doctor is really cool and knows what he's talking about! I wish he was my doctor!
Thank you for uploading this educational video. I literally had no idea how to administer this correctly. Thank you so much!
You're very welcome!
I always thought I had to try and aim it up in to my sinuses, not keep it in the nostrils =( A few years ago I suffered from bad epistaxis. Thanks for the explanation Doc!
This helped me so much. Thank you for the tutorial.
I tried your method and it worked! I didn't get that awful aftertaste of Flonase in my throat. THANK YOU!
Very informative with clear cut demonstration.
I always push my head back while spray and all medicine in my throat. Thank you Doctor for instructions 😍
Wish I could see this doctor.
All these years I have been placing tip of nasall spray bottle inserted far back in my nose and inhaling deeply thru nose and staying at the same time!! Thank you MAJOR DIFFERENCE 🙏
Im always gagging and spray goes everywhere but he does it so gracefully and elegant!
This worked! I didn't taste it on my tongue. I was using the spray for 5 days cuz the inside of my nose got swollen and the doc said I have *rhinosinusitis* and he immediately said I needed surgery, But I had this inflammation for only 15 days, so I decided to use the medicines/sprays. I always felt the horrible taste while using it. Now I'm good thanks to you! It is really unprofessional of the doctor to not show me the proper way to do it. *Thank you again* ! I feel much better.
Did you get surgery? Or did it improve with the nose drops.
May i ask what spray did you use?
Thanks doc u really are a big help
i have been using metaspray for one and half year , but couldn't find the right way to spray until now..thank u for showing the right way..
You didn't have to do it , but you did... You are the M.V.P. DOC!!! THANK YOU 🎉
I don't think I've dropped as many F-bombs as I did after watching this video and realizing why my nose bled like a firehose that one time.
So I used it wrong my whole life
Me too! 😡
Those doctors are criminals litterarly when they known damn well that the patients won t know how to use it ,unless they explain !! Damn it I hate doctor, most are commercials, with ZEROOOOOO CONSCIOUS
Me too hahaha
Same.
I just did it using this method and it worked perfectly. Thank you 😆😆
Thank you! This is a much needed tutorial for those with deviated septums!!
Very handsome Doctor. Thanks for the demo. I'm gonna try it this way, next time. I've already taken my dose for the day, so I'll have to try this tomorrow. Thanks again.
Thank you very much!
The only explanation to why dr dont explain how to use it and patients not benefiting from treatment is besides having zero conscious: Big pharma will benefit when patients use more of it and switch to different medications I wonder also ,why my blood pressure turns high ONLY when I am at the dr's? and they bullshit us by saying that it might be stress of visiting a dr ! Last time ,my blood pressure 15/10 at the dr's and 15 minutes later 11/7 at 3 different pharmacies. Zero conscious doctors
IVE BEEN SEEING THIS DR!! HES SUCH A GOOD MAN!
It was Doctor Oseiwe who cured me from Asthma, you can also get in touch with him on KZhead channel Doctor Oseiwe, if you need help and be cured completely from any disease 🇬🇧🇬🇧"
Thank you for this demonstration! It never actually tells you how to properly use these things on the box, bottle, or provided instructions.
Great video! Really informative! You also do it in a really entertaining way, its impressive. I also make medical videos, focussing more on how and when to use medication. I just posted a video on how and when to use nasal spray (Otrivin/Xylometazolin), also discussing the dose, and the possible side effects. I just started out, so I am still figuring out how to make informative videos in an entertaining way! You have shown me a good example. Keep it up!
youve gone a long way since. Congrats man! 🎉
The directions in the boxes I got said to stick straight up the nose and spray then breathe in through your nose. Mine always goes to my throat and I almost throw up every time it's poisoney tasting. I did what he did, angled, head down, spray and little gentle sniffs to keep it in and I don't taste it anymore until later when I (snort in) I have sinus issues so I snort a lot. I'll sneeze and end up smelling it but It doesn't run down my throat anymore. THIS is what it should say in the instructions.
Some sprays say "do not breath it in deeply after spraying" other say "breath in simultaneously while spraying it" i guess they are different formulas that's all.....
This was soothing I like your “okay”
I've used them for years and never knew this. Thank you! So much better👍

Very nice video. The application makes all the difference. You can even massage a little bit the nostril after spraying, while simultaneously, very gently, breathing in the medication, for 10 seconds.
