  • Silent's (Team Spirit coach) speech before game 1 really gives me goosebumps. It's somehow the most cinematic speech without sounding corny or overly dramatic. I think most teams overall have started adopting a much more encouraging environment after finding out how much wonders it worked for OG.

    • and i think its also people taking Esports more serious, being 100 percent mentally is just as important as being physically 100% in regular sports, the same thing applies to this, same with the mental warfare OG played

    • Yeah its was a good speech. But I wasnt really impressed though. Obviously, its so easy to say words of encouragement before the actual games start because everyone normally have their spirits up at that point. However, if you are a dire situation, your backs against the wall and your team morale at the lowest point, People that make speeches that can put anyone at ease and get them motivated to get back up and fight are the best one for me.

    • Feels like they had some time restraints or something ngl. Maybe cause this True sight focused.more on the draft

      @Tintelinus@Tintelinus Жыл бұрын
    • I don't think the pacing of Game 5 came out weird because of the True Sight team necessarily. When I watched it live I already felt that it was going to be a hard game to make look exciting. Very early on the panelists and analysts already pointed out that the way the draft went the game would be decided by whether Tiny and Lycan would pop off at their 20min timings or not. So the game had basically 3 outcomes, 1. Tiny pops off and instantly ends the game with insane pushing power 2. Tiny does well but not enough to end and the game becomes a bit more dramatic on who is going to win or 3. Spirit completely dodges the timing, Tiny becomes useless and Spirit sort of just wins by default. And 3 is what happened. PSG couldn't find important kills and objectives anywhere on the map. TorontoTokyo on Ember was impossible to catch and Yatoro played out of his mind with map awareness on Terroblade avoiding all ganks. I think what they could have maybe done is focus on Yatoro and Spirits movements around the map a bit more, but that's not exactly exciting for those who aren't big dota nerds.

      @lori977@lori977 Жыл бұрын
    • I personally was expecting valve to at least put on the scene where TORONTOTOKYO was dodging LGD's gank at the top side, wasting a lot of time on the LGD side. I was really curious, is that a coincidence or does spirit already have info about that, how does the conversation goes too.

      @user-ug4vb3dh5g@user-ug4vb3dh5g Жыл бұрын
    • @@lori977 Well what happened was LGD reached their timings at min 18 and decided to force a tier 2 fight, lost it, and then the game was basically gg at that point. • Nah, I think it seems that way because OG pretty much picked everything off-meta, completely surprising their opponents in draft (especially Liquid in TI9). PSG.LGD had really good drafts and strats during TI8 and TI8 is definitely their strongest iteration.

      @zettour.@zettour. Жыл бұрын
    • I'm not talking about their literal draft, they can draft anything they want. I just liked this format way more than past true sight. BO5, more games, more draft pick screentime. Seeing how both team think and strategize around meta heroes at the time (Magnus, Tiny, Lycan) is intense. About game 5 yeah, i think lgd just fucked up by giving away magnus for tiny-lycan, and for me enchantress last pick is bad, treant could be so much better or just get magnus and imo they will definitely win.

      @MoXy69409@MoXy69409 Жыл бұрын
    • @@MoXy69409 Wait, but all TI True Sights are BO5s. Not all of them went to game 5 obviously, but there wasn't a blowout 3-0 either. • Its somewhat catharthic (if that's the right word) that True Sight showed that Xiao8 mostly responsible to bring LGD's spirit up and almost pulling a reverse sweep. I remember when Chinese fans were massively flaming him for the game 5 draft for not denying Team Spirit Magnus (Some really hilarious salt tho). There was even somewhat of a controversy in that a rumor spread Xiao8 had bet against the team and purposely threw. This lead to an actual official post from LGD that they were investigating potential matchfixing, which, surprise surprise, no matchfixing was found.

    @pepeknight@pepeknight Жыл бұрын

  • I really respect both of these two teams for how humble they are, and how much they respected their opponents. Knowing what Faith_Bian is like, he was definitely using Spirit's voice lines at the start to show respect and play the (online) crowd, it wasn't BM or trying to play mental warfare. Whenever either team needed to hype themselves up, they never said "They're garbage, they don't deserve the championship, we're much better", and they constantly stressed that they shouldn't underestimate each other, and that they're all humans, 'same as us'. Even after eliminating Secret, Yatoro was like "I think Matumbaman is very smart. What did he build on Terrorblade? I need to use that." It was really refreshing for this True Sight and really helps me root for both teams in the future.

    • Really dude? I guess that your own opinion. If you ask me, it was a good TI but it wasnt as exciting or nerve wracking as TI8. Like this TI, the games are won in the draft alone. Games 1 2 3 and 4 were either LGD stomping TS or TS stomping LGD so it was pretty boring as the games didnt have any nitty gritty back and forths or those impossible comeback wins at all. Game 5 was decent but it was pretty much game over for LGD when when their tiny-Lycan combo failed and they couldnt stop the magnus. Though TI10 is definitely better than TI9 for sure as that was completely one sided. But none of those two or any TIs in the past could ever match TI8. In TI8, you could be outdrafted but still win the game. Games were either close and hard fought with impossible clutch comebacks. TI8 is still the best TI ever. Sorry man.

  • All true sights have been great but I really enjoyed this year because they didn’t make LGD to be the villain in this one. Really gave you the feeling of wanting both teams to win even though you know there can only be one. It’s great seeing a light hearted china and made me appreciate the director (xiao8) even more. • This entire TI was super weird, i mean team spirit literally evolved with the entire tournament, they really were not strong starting off but they really started gelling and man their awareness was on point. It was crazy how safe yatoro was because he really had a gut feeling for where everyone was. I mean if you ask anyone, spirit was not a team that was on anyone's radar starting off.

Dude, there were always hate to us from West, it was not there only after fall of USSR which when Russia had to pay all debts of USSR (yes, only Russia, others countries, such as Ukraine, were free from debts). It was hard time and yes, our country was weak during that, west was so happy ahaha. They even still praise Gorbachev, this man who is responsible for this chaos. With situation in Ukraine, this is not that easy that you think. Yes, war is bad, but in this conflict it is not like there are "bad" and "good" parties to the conflict.

    • As someone who often plays with friends on discord, one solution to the toxicity (which is common mostly when you play with randoms, and is normal in mobas) is to play together with people you're comfortable with, as long as you all do it for fun.
