I don't understand UncleDJ's lack of rocket troopers in games one and two when CriticalMeds was pushing out so many medium tanks. He finally started making them in game three... when mass grenadiers were supporting the tanks, lol. Not sure I understand the logic in his approach during these games.
Rocket men are incredibly expensive they cost 300 a go and die to both grens and tank fire , building rocket men can rapidly choke your eco and it is a high risk best bets are turrets and bikes.
@@Criticalmeds They seem better to me than Flame Troopers (which are $200 anyway) and Flame Tanks, at least in the context of fighting against mostly Medium Tanks. I'm certainly no expert, but that makes more sense to me.
Yeah from a viewer perspective it makes sense but flamers do some good dmg to tanks and counter grens. The rocket just arnt worth it maybe they would be if they wasnt so slow they get squished or cost less turrets are also the most cost effective anti armor in the game imo they cost 600 to build you can sell for 300 and get 3x minis back worth 300 they are only a time investment.
Such a refreshment seeing GDI winning!
That's the problem with attack heli. It pencils out money wise, but with all the time required to manage it most of the time it is a hinderance. Time is valuable and I'd rather spend it on other endeavors.

Hey... It's that map I made :) But yeah, TD is mostly Nod. Good maps help, though. BTW... THAT is how you play GDI. Such a well played game by CritMeds, especially on the more open maps. GGs
@@Criticalmeds Yeah, I haven't been around much lately. My mental health hasn't been great. RTS is hard to play. But I've been making a bit of comeback, just playing a bit of SCII teams. I perhaps more enjoy making maps, design, etc. I do wish the mods in remaster were multiplayer capable.

Cybert, you need to cast Open RA. You will love it.
They even have dedicated casting tools.
Happy this game lasted for a while, I hate rushes that end the game fast, it is no fun, but actual strategy play is always fun.

I really like this early attack helicopter strat. I wish TD Remastered had a 'value' counter like in OpenRA. I'm curious just how much value he got out of it, butchering all those $160 grenadiers.

Tib Dawn is so fun. I wish it had more of a competitive scene but I understand that Nod is a bit OP compared to GDI here.
Maybe Apache spam to clear out the grenadiers
What makes nod so good it's hard to find gdi games?

Nod's mobility is insane. Their core units just trade better, and they have more tools. Notice that in these games the way that GDI won was just by having WAY more money. Note that 2 grenadiers cost more than one buggy. He trades badly in all games, but it doesn't matter, because he has more money. The GDI player here had really hot micro and multitasking. He made it look easy. Usually, a single flamer soldier can wipe down multiple grenadiers, if they're not microed against it. Nod mostly dominates, and is considered the stronger side to play as.
Haha the 1st game seems awkward me and DJ were playing some training games . We were talking about how dj could hold vs the tanks better and I showed him how to set up his bikes with my remaining tank haha, the second game the mcv move was mainly a defensive move as electric Avenue is a nightmare for gdi to defend nod hit and runs, thank you for the cast .

Most of their units just are more cost effective. Plus, there isn't a good GDI counter to units like the apache. I think if he had used it more effectively, like targeting the War Factory after the MCV sell, he'd have won.

I felt like the nod player was vastly inferior
He is one of the best nods but his nod vs nod is much better than nod vs gdi, its hard to get practice vs gdi as the ladder is primarily nods.

*first minute attack helicopter* .... "WOOT?!!!" *remembers* "just skip the intro if you don´t like the music" ... yea screw whoever told me that ... ... doesn´t change that the overdramatic music is still annoying during the playerintroductionphase ..
