My children’s generation is so evolved compared to my baby boomer parents. Their peers don’t tolerate bullies and are much better at celebrating human differences. In these dark times, they give me hope that things will get better.
@shannonphx4078 ай бұрын
At least we tried to. Unfortunately, parents in the last decade or so either didn't learn much empathy from their childhood or they haven't done much to teach their own children IMO. Many kids are extremely rude and have this sense of entitlement I've never seen or heard before. I taught my daughter not only to be kind to others - even to those who seemed different than her - but also to be polite. I've naturally always used "please, thank you, excuse me, etc.," and I taught my daughter to have manners as well. But nowadays, I hear so many kids saying things like "Give me that," instead of "Will you please hand me that?" I'm from the 80's generation, and I can't believe the things I hear from kids and teens anymore. 😢
