  • It's hard to understand how influential this movie was unless you remember the time before it. That everyone had cell phones was completely foreign idea at that time. It demonstrated how spoiled and pampered these girls were. The slang that's used in the movie is common today, even old and tired, but at the time no one talked like that except the girls around LA. Now you hear girls talk like that everywhere you go. "Whateveeeeeer!!"

    • What's also great about it is that the movie didn't rely on already known fashion trends and jargon from that time period. It's all from its original design. That's really admirable considering that so many young people movies just insert whatever catchphrases and trends are currently in. Clueless is in its own 90s alternate reality.

    • angelblu27834 I don't know. I have a step brother and if out parents divorced and I started going out with him later, that would seem really weird. I mean in the movie its down played because the in the book its based off of (Emma) it wasn't weird for people in the 1800s to marry even marry their first cousins if they wanted to. But today if you old people "I married my ex-stepbrother", it's definatley be sort of weird. Because, after all, that person was once (techinically) your sibling.

    • aiken relkins Well, the whole taboo of marrying or dating your brother/sister because the two of you have similar d.n.a. and would be bad if you the two had children because of birth defects. I can see how it's weird if they were your sibling since child years but Cher and Josh weren't siblings for that long. The marriage between their parents didn't last long. Plus there are people who marry their sister/brother-in law. It's only in marriage and unfortunately marriages don't last long.

    • SpikedWaters The definition of incest is sexual relations between people classed as being too closely related to marry each other. Again, Cher and Josh are not blood-related. They were siblings by a failed marriage. By law it is not illegal for them to marry. They do not share the same parents. Therefore it is not a incestuous relationship. If he was her half-brother it would be a different story because they would share D.N.A. and, therefore, be an incestuous relationship.

  • Often when a celebrity dies young they become overhyped and overrated because people try to make them into more than they were. Glad to see that didn't happen with Brittany, but it seems like people have forgotten her. She was in a lot of movies, very talented, and died in such a mysterious way that I would think people would still be talking about her. But the world just moved on and you don't here her mentioned much.
