  • The electric field cannot be zero in the dipole because at any point in space, the electric field due to the positive charge is in the opposite direction to the electric field due to the negative charge. The magnitudes don't cancel out completely, leading to a nonzero net electric field.

  • Since direction of E due to +ve charge(outwards) and -ve charge(inwards) is in the same direction. Hence the net electric field can't be zero

  • Electric field of both charges donot exactly cancel out each other although net charge is zero i.e. electric dipole is zero when the electric field of two charges are added it is not equal to zero

  • Question asked on 7.31 Answer is sir because in the absence of electric field or( E.F=0) there is no force because of that the dipol moment will become 0 If answer is correct then please reply sir if wrong then please reply correct answer please sir
