it’s so precious to witness the little ones learn how to giggle! I also noticed that Wes likes to shake and nod his head often in response to questions as if he understands what’s being said. he’s done it a few times in vlogs and it’s precious! I’d also like to note that your natural hair is incredible!!🥰
I'm from Ukraine and I've been with Colleen on this journey since the start of her pregnancy. I watched every vlog, I listened to every podcast. Then February 24th and the invasion happenned and it fealt like my life was paused. My husband is suddenly at war, I'm suddenly not at home, there are explosions, feels like it's a dream. I couldn't watch a single vlog. And today I finally clicked to see a video from Colleen again. Honestly, it feels surreal. The twins look completely different, they can hold their heads right now! Colleen looks more fresh. It's like I was taken away from this timeline and dropped back a month later, only to realize others have been living their lives peacefully. And I'm sorry if it sounds wrong, but I'm so jealous you have your husband at home. We never separated with mine for more than a week, and now after a month and not knowing how much longer, not knowing if I ever going to see him again, this feels surreal. Like there's fog in my head. Feels like what Colleen described with the twins in the NICU, but I don't know when this will be over, and if it ever will. Edit: I'm crying from all the supportive comments ♥️ Thank you so much, I did not expect this comment to get this much attention and love and support! I am in a relatively safe place right now, and I don't want to leave Ukraine. I don't know how you can help us directly, but you can help the Ukrainian army and refugees through Come Back Alive fund (comebackalive.in.ua). I moved to my parents' house, and I am lucky to have a house where I can live and my work is remote. But there are many people left without homes. I just want my husband to return home safely, this is all I can think about right now.
Praying for you 🙏 and donated money to help with the humanitarian efforts. Colleen went through great hardships with the nicu, fast forward a few months and she's thriving. I hope it's like that for you too! Keep your head up 🇺🇸🇺🇦
Sending all my love & prayers to you and your family. ♥️
Sending hugs. Are you in a safe location? Is there any way we can help from abroad?
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hoping you are reunited soon 😢
When Colleen dropped the glass I out loud said "COLLEEEEEEENNNN" Like Kory always does 😂
I read this right as she did it and it got me cackling 😂
Oh Colleen. It’s why taking maternity leave is so important for moms and should be something that is available more to moms. I know you love your career and your career is very unique - but you should be allowed a grace period to adjust to the new changes in your life. I don’t think the advice you gave was bad, I think it was very real and a struggle so many moms both in the “entertainment”/creative field and just being in a “regular” career face. ❤️
@@sup.im.angelina she didn't say that...she just said that be prepared for it if it comes down to that
The fact that in the USA parents dont get paid paternity leave is wild to me
@@sup.im.angelina Some people don't want to do both. All she said was to be prepared for that sort of situation. Plus there are lots if things that do stop people from being able to do both, and we should be okay with that, too. Progressive society fails when we assume everyone wants and is capable the same things. Our job is just to provide equal access.
she obviously does what she wants and doesnt feel THAT burdened by her job as an entrepreneur to quit. and frankly its clear that performing brings her a lot of joy since we've been in a pandemic for so long and she couldnt perform. i dont think she views the vlogs or podcast as work even though it technically is work bc she says she has fun doing them and theyre even therapeutic. therefore i would imagine that in her mind she hasnt technically worked in a long time, aside from the occasional live streamed shows.
@@sup.im.angelina theres optimism and then theres reality. this is her reality. doing both can do more harm than good to many women. nobody should be overworking themselves. and what she said at the end was even more evident. dads arent typically asked where are the kids. nobody is wondering about working dads. they arent expected to do it all. and this whole moms can do it all, seems to only hurt moms.
When Colleen polled out the teddy bear outfits I thought they were tortilla outfits for them haha 😂

ME TOO I saw someone comment on another vlog that they sent colleen tortilla swaddles for the twins over a month ago but they don’t know if she’s gotten them yet. that’s incredible!! I thought it was the tortilla swaddles at first glance!
Omg lmao literally same
I think one thing to remember about a lot of working moms is that when their babies are new they are usually on maternity leave. And then when they go back to work their baby probably goes to daycare of some sort. You didn't take maternity leave and kept working with brand new babies and that might be why it feels almost impossible for you to work with new babies
Agreed! Plus, if someone goes on maternity leave, they probably have a team that will cover for them while they're out and Colleen doesn't totally have that. No one can be miranda without her, at least not in terms of filmed content.
I was coming to write the same thing! I took a full year off with each of my babies for maternity leave so I didn’t have to worry about juggling work. A lot of people don’t work and look after the kids at the same time which is why it’s very hard for her to juggle.
Yes!! I felt like I had to comment on this too, and also add that women that wait to have kids until the perfect time career-wise may(not always, but it happened to me and I felt like no one ever talked about it) have trouble getting pregnant later in life because fertility declines sharply after 35.
YES!
Tortilla Talk Question: You’ve mentioned a couple of times that you recently found a nanny which is awesome! Did your nanny know who you were and what you do prior to meeting you? If not do they know now? Sending love from New Zealand xx
Hi, fellow Kiwi!
Good question!!!!
Colleen! I work on a post partum floor in a hospital and had a situation where parents had twins in the NICU - I was able to take what I saw of your experience and welcome them into their experience in a significantly more comforting way as a result of knowing pieces of what you went through. Please know that your story and struggles are being heard and are helping others immensely!! ♥️♥️♥️

Colleen! I have struggled with chapped lips and finally took a suggestion from my mom which is to put lanolin nipple cream on them which sounds weird but it works AMAZINGLY. You might not like the way it feels because it definitely gives you slimey lips but for me it has totally changed the game. I know you don’t get to sleep much, but I sleep with it on and by the morning my lips are 1000% better than they were when I went to sleep.
Yes!!! But also you should try Eucerin!!. My lips were awful and bleeding and it literally cured them in less than a week!
I’ve struggled with chapped lips while pregnant/breastfeeding too and recently discovered Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. It’s worked the best for me so far! Lots of great suggestions…try ‘em all, Colleen!
I put vaseline on my lips overnight and then they’re like healed in the morning
I HOPE SHE SEES THIS!!! Lanolin is the only thing that helps me, my momma taught me that trick!
Also, chapped lips can be a huge sign of dehydration. All the chapstick and products in the world can't make up for lack of moisture in the body, so drink up!
Tortilla Talk Q: How often does Flynn go through the mini door in his closet to the nursery?? Does he like it?
Lmao Erik: "He sounds just like his mother!" Wesley sneezing was so FREAKING CUTE
Take a break, teach them that it’s okay to rest when experiencing a burn out. You don’t want to quit because your job gives you happiness and success and fulfillments. Time will bring you a work/family balance. Trust the process and listen to your body x
For people with regular jobs sure. However, in the entertainment industry, especially if you’re not behind the scenes working, your career significantly dips into your 30s with or without kids.
@@dannyt7269 well no that's entirely true of lots of "regular" jobs too, it's totally conditional. In lots of other ways she has far more ease in her job because she has millions of people invested in supporting her career, she has plenty of wealth, support from everywhere in her personal and professional life, ways to delegate and downsize and there's lots of examples of youtubers taking a step back with massive support. The likes of safiya nygard for eg.
Seeing Erik be dramatic and rolling on the floor with his foot was the best! I know he isn't as comfortable being in the vlogs, but he is hilarious! It's no wonder Flynn is such a silly sweet guy!
I was just thinking the same thing lol
I would be dramatic with glass in my foot too lol
This video made me call my mom and tell her I love and appreciate her. If Colleen says it feels near impossible to have kids and work from home, making her own schedule and have a stable home with a supportive husband… it must have been hell for my mom. My mom had 3 babies, including me, an addict and disappearing husband who eventually left for good, 2-3 jobs at a time and no money. We moved apartments every 6months to a year and scraped change for bread to have something to eat. She’s a survivor and this shows me how hard it truly was. 💔

As I working mom, I get that question (whose with the kids??) ALL. THE. TIME. It’s wild that people still find it weird that moms work, whether it’s bc we want to or need to. I also totally agree about working even though it’s hard when trying to be the best parent. For me, I need to work. I need to financially as the primary breadwinner, but I also need to for my sanity and happiness. I can give my daughter the best version of myself when I feel fulfilled. Stay at home parents are absolutely super heroes, but I just wouldn’t be my happiest self, and therefore the best parent I can be, if I didn’t work.
Yes! I need to work for my sanity! I needed to go back after about 5 months after having my son, only part time, just to be somewhat myself, not just mom. I've been home these past 2 years with pandemic and all and it has really taken its toll on me. Don't get me wrong, I feel so privileged to get to spend this time with him, but there is literally no break!
@@littlemissmel88 yes! When I was home (working remote) at the beginning of the pandemic, I was so grateful to have had some extra time with my daughter AND it was the most stressful time of my life.
tt question: how does kory feel about being in the vlogs? i know it took erik a while to be relatively comfortable, but i feel like it’s kinda the reverse for kory, like he used to be in the vlogs more a few years back and now he’s more behind the scenes. i love you and your videos so much!! they always make me smile every day :)

@@ac-ft2rf I don’t believe she is exploring her children. I could understand how you’d see that. However, to me she is showing The reality of being a mother. She has posted KZhead videos of her daily life for over 20 years, she isn’t going to just stop because she had children. She has always documented her life, and there should be no shame in showing motherhood. I think it’s strange you’re assuming a sexual or obsessive view of her children. I enjoy watching Colleen and her marriage, as it is a good example.. and I enjoy watching other KZheadrs. So why shouldn’t I admire and praise motherhood? I believe it’s exploitation when it’s like the Labrant family. Their children have social media from the day they’re born, and they base their channel around their children and growing family. They also sugar coat parenthood. I find there is a key difference.
@@ac-ft2rf I’m sure you enjoy watching KZheadrs, and their daily lives. I think it’s alarming that just because she shows her children you think everybody views it as something it’s not. I think you may be projecting your view of children onto me, or perhaps something happened to you to where you feel that way. However that is not the case for me. If you don’t want to support her channel by all means don’t, but consider not wasting your time by watching and commenting on her posts if you don’t support her.
@@ac-ft2rf also, you clearly watch all her videos and have commented multiple times. You’ve commented on her children as well. What they look like, and about her sons potty training? So you clearly are invested in her videos? I find it very strange that you have the courage to watch all of her videos and imply that she is exploring her children when you clearly have been watching them for a very long time. I’m not sure if you have mental health issues or just have nothing better to do. But I suggest getting help, you clearly have some issues.
Hey Colleen, I feel like most people take maternity leave (some for up to a year) so when you’re going through that new born phase you don’t to focus on anything else (and even then it’s still super tough to get through the day). Your job is obviously one you can do from home, which is great, but please don’t put pressure on yourself to do stuff, just because you’re home. X
I feel you on the "who's with the kids?" Comment. But it's definitely not just working mom's. I'm a stay at home mom and literally anytime I go anywhere without the kids (the dentist, a baby shower, the store) I get asked who's watching the kids. My husband hasn't been asked that question once 🙄
And when dad is alone with kids they get praised for "babysitting"
You are 100% right! Every time I travel for work I get asked "who is watching the kids?"...um their perfectly capable and amazing father! Definitely a question that only moms get smh.....
It would be soooo tempting to be like "OMG THANK GOODNESS YOU ASKED I FORGOT TO HAVE SOMEONE WATCH THEM SO THEY ARE ALONE!!!! "
Or when dad's go out alone with their kids it's just as big of a deal. Like dad's can take care of kids too
3:04 i love how Wesley is genuinely happy to be standing up. Makes me happy for him ❤️
I have been watching you and Miranda since I was in middle school and now that I'm in my twenties, I think one of the reasons I have always loved you is because you remind me so much of my own mom. Hearing you talk about showing your kids what it means to follow your dreams, and also be a good parent made me emotional because thats what I have always admired about my mom. She is the most hardworking, driven woman I have ever met, but she is the most selfless mother and I know she would do ANYTHING for my family. I truly see the strength, resilience, and love of my mom in you, and I that's why I am always so comforted by you. You are doing amazing, and as the daughter of someone like you, I know your kids will grow up to appreciate you for all the hard work and sacrifices that you are making
Tortilla talk question: Can Flynn say your name yet or does he still say "the queen"? 😂

Bahahaha I remember going to a family dinner and telling my cousin “don’t have kids unless you’re ok giving up your life as an individual.” While it’s true to some extent, it does definitely go in waves of difficulty. There are times where I feel like I’ve completely lost my identity. Anyhoo, having kids is amazing and so much fun! I love seeing the clips of the kiddos interacting. So glad you’ll have all these daily glimpses to remember this time 💜 Hope you’re having a blast in SB!!!

tortilla talk: did the time change (spring forward!) affect the schedule with the twins at all? sleeping, eating, etc? did you notice any difference?
Ooo, good question!
Great question! I hope she answers it
Tortilla talk question: Do you think the twins can understand each other when they are “talking”? Like even though they aren’t actually saying really words I’ve always kind of felt like they can understand each other some how! 🤔😊
My identical twin and I can look at each other, and know what the other is thinking without saying anything... however we are best friends, so maybe it just comes from being close. On the other hand, we do think a lot alike, which is probably why we will sometimes say the same thing at the same time.
@@maegan22 wow that’s cool!
Me and my brother are fraternal twins and we never had “twin tuition” so it varys for each set of twins, guess we will find out when they are older!

Parenting does get easier. I mean, you’ll have new worries and challenges, but once your kids are more independent, and on a typical sleep schedule (like sleeping a night and being up during the day), will be a game changer. It’s very hard when they are little, but it will get better. I even went back to school as a single mom when my kids were little and they came to my graduation, which was so cool. They were so excited and I felt like WE did it. My kids could play for a good chunk of time by themselves ever though they both have ADHD. So, don’t let your now discourage you from your tomorrow.
Don’t understand how Eric got glass stuck in his foot every time we see him he’s always wearing shoes in the house 😂😂
tortilla talk question: since both you and eric enjoy making music, will you be signing flynn or the twins up for music lessons when they’re older? or do you plan to teach instruments to them at home? a lot of parents have been drifting away from conventional extra-curricular classes in recent years and I was wondering what you guys planned on doing?
I think you said it perfectly when you said “I don’t know how to do work I want to do and be the best mom I want to be.” Its more about how you define being the best mom and how you define who you are away from being a mom. Which for you is doing a job you love. I hear from so many moms like, oh I got so lost in being a mom, I forgot to take time for myself. I think its important to define these things for yourself. Especially when the societal expectation is when a person become a mom. Their identity is just being a mom, just caring for the kids and the home and their husband. Careers? Thats mans work.
Erik in the background “uhhhh sounds just like his mother”” ME TOO Colleen me too!! No shame in my fart game 🤣🤣🤣
Most people can’t afford to quit their day jobs to take care of their kids. Your career is your income. Unless you have a super rich spouse or something.
tortilla talk: have you noticed anything else about the twin’s psychic reading coming true? flynn’s psychic reading?
I've never seen the twins smile and laugh so much as in this video - my heart is melting!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

You guys are great parents!! It’s so nice to see!😊
I remember when I started 5th grade my math teacher went on a maternity leave (and she had twins too!) and I honestly thought I'll never see her again because we had a new teacher for the next 3 years. However she came back when I was in 8th grade and I was so happy and proud to see her again! Some women come back to work a year after having kids, some need more time than that and some become stay at home moms. It all depends on what your current living situation is, the type of job you work and well... you. If you feel ready to go back to work at any point that's great and if you decide to become a stay at home mom that's great too! There's no right or wrong choice, only what works the best for you and your family
Different perspective from a young mom. I had my kids at 19, 22, and 24. My kids are now teenagers and my career is on fire. I’m so psyched that my empty nester years will be right when my career is kicking into high gear. It just really depends on the mama, young or older mamas deserve support.

I love what you said there!! Part of being the best mom ever is not giving up the things YOU love to do. 🙌🏼 Too many women feel pressure to do this whether it’s leaving a job they like OR not going to the gym/book club/girls night outs that they have always loved and looked forward to. I think it’s so important to make time for yourself (because you will obviously be happier for it) but also because it shows your kids how to manage time and responsibilities while still having a good time overall 🙌🏼 it also shows that it’s okay to value yourself!!
As a young artist I once had the motherhood conversation with an older mentor who told me to “get all my big writing done before kids”. And that really upset me. Why should women be forced to be done excellence in their 30s!? After a lot of reflecting, I want to say to artists out there (including you, Colleen)…LIFE IS LONG. Maybe this chapter is called toddler and twins but six years from now when those babies are in grade one, maybe the 40s are about writing the masterpiece, or staring in that film. No disrespect to you Colleen, you are IN IT, girl, and also you acknowledge it’s complicated..But the message to young artists to be maybe done once there are kids is something we as women have to actively reject.
Yaaaaas! I heard a quote a while back that hit me so hard because its so true "women are expected to mother like they don't have a job, and work like they don't have children"

Tortilla Talk: Since you never want to be pregnant again, have you and Eric thought about a vasectomie or having your tubes tied? My partner and I never plan on children and recently he decided to have the snip. Honestly it's like a new man came he from the Doctors. All this stress and anxiety we didn't even know he carried was lifted and the worst part was when it was healing and got super itchy. I recently started watching your vlogs a few months ago and I am hooked! You always brighten my day and put a smile on my face. I want to say that I am amazed by you. You are such an amazing mother to your children, attentive, playful, understanding, nurturing etc etc. Not only that, but you are working full time on several incredible endeavours. Please don't be so hard on yourself. If you need to take a break from some work-related things, you can do so. Your work does not define you and it would be just as productive if that is what you need for your mental and physical health. You are still an incredible person regardless!
Have watched and been a fan Colleen for years, I’m truly blown away by her strength. She is an incredible mother as well as a creative working for herself. Fun baby fact I learned today: starting at 6 months, babies can recognize “good” vs “bad” behavior. There was a study were they showed a doll acting out morally good behavior (being nice and things) vs another doll doing morally wrong things (being mean to other dolls or something) and then the babies were then offered the dolls, and a lot of the kids choose the “nice” doll

I think when it comes to being a mom/working it isn’t necessarily being ok with your career being over but knowing there’s going to be a season where your career is taking a big back seat. I also have young kids and I know that in a couple years when they’re in school I’ll be able to dedicate more time back to my career but for now I’m happy letting it be low on my priority list and spending a majority of my time with my kids while they’re little and at home.
She was talking specifically about the entertainment industry though. Which is very different than with any other type of career.
@@adasamontano8284 true, but I think it can be relevant to all industries too :)
Tortilla talk question: Since the twins are older now, have they interacted with Moose? If so, how have the twins reacted and how has Moose reacted! Would love to know, keep on being an amazing mom Colleen! 💚
Awe Colleen 🤗 I love how real you are. You made total since. Enjoy your family time and the ocean 🌊❤️
Colleen you just looked so pretty while chatting and making bottles, like actually glowing, you are so beautiful inside out and oooo it just shines right through you
Like you looked like the picture perfect stunningly gorgeous mother in a movie that’s going through it but still looks so amazing, I am obsessed
My ex husband and I raised our kids so we each had the same amount of "awake time with them. I think people just make the assumption that a mum is a better parent. It's not true but my ex would constantly have people demean him by saying things like .. " oh isn't that nice , giving your wife a break from the kids. Like he only had them because I couldn't take it anymore . The truth is there are stereotypes for both parents but we tend to only notice the comments directed at ourselves and miss when the other parent is being dissed.
Best family on the Internet right here!! I absolutely love watching every second of these vlogs! It’s like much needed therapy for me!! 😊🥰
What qualities makes them the best family?
@@emilieclareville5796 probably the narcissistic behavior from Colleen and dismissing her husbands feelings 🥰
These babies are so ridiculously cute!!! I come back to this video just to watch the babiessssss :):):)
They’re sooooo cute omg they are absolutely amazing and so good too! Can we see like a day of the life of a mother with a 1 toddler and twins please?
Tortilla Talk Question: Is Maisy just growing slower than Wesley right now? Or will she just be a petite bean? I don’t know how babies work.
this question made me laugh so hard i hope she sees it
I belive there growing at different paces because Maisy was in the nicu even after wesley went home
Petite bean! Love this so much 😍
😄
Baby girls are generally smaller than baby boys. I think it's partially that and she could also be a petite bean 😂
I’m totally flashing back to Grey’s Anatomy and Bailey’s advice on having children 😆 In a nutshell - the best time is never but it’s totally worth it
Thank you for keep on going 💕
The way Wesley coos is beyond adorable! Both babies are so sweet!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hi Colleen! Thank you for spending so much time answering my question! You didn’t give bad advice at all, what you said made perfect sense and your situation is very unique so your opinion on that stuff is one I wanted to hear. Doing what makes you happiest however you can is a sure-fire way to give the best version of yourself to your kids. Much love to you and your beautiful family ❤️
Tortilla talk question: This is a odd question but here it is: Have you ever thought that if the twins were the same sex and identical, there would be two Wesleys or two Maisys. I know it wouldn’t really be like that but It’s cool to think about. P.S. I’m obsessed with watching your videos!! Love and appreciate you more than you’ll ever know!! :)
سلام الخوت ذخل ديرو جيم ابوني كتبخلوش علينة

Thank you for this amazing video, there's always a way you can keep us watching your videos without getting bored. As a video maker myself, I'll definitely take some inspiration from you ❤️

Tortilla talk question: how do you manage house cleaning? I feel like with two kids I can never get house cleaning done let alone laundry 😂 much love to your family ❤️❤️❤️
The babies are getting so big!!! You have such cute babies!
Haven’t been in touch with you fiancé the birth of the twins video. And life in general, so happy that you’re happy. Knowing that you wanted this from the start, and not finally having it is so relieving. 💕 The twins look so much like Erick. 🥺
