This is STUPID & Rockstar Needs to Fix it... (Rant)

Been playing for 8 years and I’m happy too say I’ve never spent any real money on this game apart from the actual game itself, the way it should be.

99% Of these businesses are long term thing. They never make money straight away and that’s why I always lose interest very quickly. You always playing at a loss.

I think rockstar should make it so you can set the payment percentage to pay players that are in your organization and not just certain heists so it's worth it for people to help you

Pay phone hits going from 15-48 minutes was criminal. That hurt my profit margins so hard.

You'd think someone in there at R* in the online department has said: "Guys, we should embrace our players PLAYING our game! To ENJOY our content we roll out!" Why lock players out of content? Makes zero sense. We also wait months at a time for new content, and of course. R* takes 2 steps forward in a good update and or QoL. Then proceed to take 1 or 1.5 steps backwards. Landing us almost right where we were before we took those 2 steps. Frustrating.

1. I completely agree with the things you mentioned in this video. However, I am pretty sure they will not let us buy the new 3 million car for 20k after doing a 30 minute robbery. We are talking about Rockstar, that would be way too overpowered in their mind and I think they will only let you buy certain vehicles that are not too expensive. 2. I have been talking about this since the first time they nerfed cayo perico. I was fuming about that cooldown because I am a solo player and a grinder at the same time, and I enjoyed playing that way. If I wanted to I played 5 cayo pericos a day and I didn't get bored of it. I don't think that locking the best way of making money in the game behind a huge cooldown is the way to "encourage" other players to play together or try other businesses. The most irritating thing for me about that was that they hyped cayo perico up saying that this is a solo friendly heist and they want to give solo players a better experience and better way to make money. And after saying this they decided to nerf it to the ground and ignore those players they were trying to please. 3. I understand that it's not a good thing that most of the playerbase were grinding the same heist over and over again. However, I don't think that what they did is the solution for the problem. Nerfing payouts, adding cooldowns, locking content. The prices are insane in the game (5-6 million for the new cop cars for example), so instead of nerfing cayo over and over again I think they should try to make the other money making methods more appealing. There are a lot of ways they could do that (buff those payouts a bit, make casino heist playable solo with less payout, etc.) 4. When cayo perico came out I have been playing this game almost nonstop. I was motivated to make money and buy all the businesses and vehicles I wanted. But now with all the nerfs and the disregard of pc players (locking a lot of content behind PS5/Xbox Series S/X) I have 0 motivation left to play alone. I launch the game and after 10 minutes I close it because I don't have the mood to play.

I honestly feel like cooldowns can be a good thing when not made too long, they payphone hits, vehicle cargo and dr Dre contract are just fine, and if you have a lot of different activities with short cooldowns then you can create diverse gameplay because you’re forced to swap them out often. It only becomes a problem when an activity has a cooldown of more than one in-game day though.

Not just that, but for myself and a few other people, during the Gauntlet finale theft, the Gauntlet won't spawn. I sent a glitch/bug report to Rockstar and their response was "We're sorry that you're experiencing this and apologize for any inconvenience this has cause. We've noted this bug. Please let us know of any further difficulties" So not only did I waste my time getting to the finale that I can't complete, I won't actually be able to finish it ever because it's time locked and will be removed. A+ Rockstar

Don't worry, you'll be able to skip the cool downs with your purchase of gta+.

It’s nice that rockstar is pushing towards variety in terms of playing other modes/businesses. It sucks the way they are doing it by recycling. I blame nothing but laziness and venzuela type of inflation in-game. I hope someone else can word it better I suck at expression.

What make these cooldowns even more frustrating, is that I’m going through the career challenges and has to compete all the elite challenges, so if I miss one/fail one, I have to wait for 1 week before I can try again…

I'm glad you enjoy it, for me personally it just feels like re-skins of vehicle warehouse + autoshop contracts, the tow truck isnt different from the franklin side missions, to me it just seemed lazy re-use of assets but hey if you have fun with it that's awesome.

I want GTA 6 to have better/more realistic pricing. I feel like why stuff like Cayo is so appealing is cause of the payout, if things in this game only cost a few hundred thou rather than a few million, people would be more open to doing a variety of missions and activities, but since what ever gives you the biggest payout is the easiest farm, it makes the game stale imo.

If R* truly cared about players playing other heist to balance the game out, they would actually…you know…Go and balance the pay to make it make sense. Example: Aside from challenges, there is 0 reason to ever run the Doomsday Heist to try and make money. It’s takes the longest to not only set up, but also complete as well as it’s the hardest heist currently in the game. But the payout isn’t reflected in that, yet R* can’t figure out why people spam Cayo or Casino Heist. R* wants to punish players for getting too good at missions and making money too quick cause “it’s breaks in the game economy” . Yeah cause an MK2 costing 8mil is player friendly, especially when you have to buy a terabyte to store it, then a Night Club to store that and spend even more money just to put missiles on the bike. There’s no defense for R*, they never cared about balance only money.

Great video as always! I think they are trying to keep the player base ingame as much as possible. In my opinion I think they could do this weekly vehicle robberies something as with Forza Horizon as you get in weekly to get certain cars. It would make the players login regularly and do the missions. One high end car (as Grotti Turismo Omaggio in the first week) and 2 other lower grade vehicles. So we can keep one (the cool car) and grind the money as we sell the other two. Doing this thing for months in order to cycle through the vehicle list would make sense, at least until they come up with another DLC.

The thumbnail was hilarious, TGG. Good job! The tow truck missions are the real money-spinner. 2 cars can be disassembled at once over 48 minutes with the staff upgrade at the salvage yard, which is usually in the range of $60k-$70k every 48 minutes for what amounts to 5-8 minutes of work in the towing itself, which is more often than not without police involvement as the cars are typically low value, e.g. Futo, Fusilade, Baller, Voodoo, Banshee. Add the salvage yard safe ($48k) to the nightclub safe ($100k), arcade safe ($7500 or so) and Celebrity Solutions Safe (up to $40k) and you have some pretty good passive income over 48 minutes in-game. Adding that to the Yohan source and staff warehouse source missions and good money can be made every 48 minutes. Also, 1 car per 24 hours seems a good number (like the casino wheel), hopefully R* can fix that and maybe change the just the buy option to 1 car per week - that way, the salvage yard can make more money and you have to put some thought into which car you *really* want.

Tgg im glad you brought this up. It is a real problem. I haven't been watching your stuff for very long (only since the gta 6 trailer) but your content has really impressed me and especially this video really clicked with me

I just quit to main menu and wipe the cooldown timers 😂😂 verified and works for most businesses on console. If that's what you're worried about the most, that's nothing. I'm worried about GTA 6 for a whole other set of reasons: a company that doesn't fix bugs/glitches/cheating unless it affects their shark card income, a company that doesn't actively listen to it's community when it comes to fixes and content.

Good video and well said TGG, I played this game religiously with my friends for years and then for a long time solo after they all ditched the game, but rockstar making dumb/greedy decisions like these made me ditch both my Xbox and pc accounts and stop playing. Has me quite worried for their plans for GTA6 online

There is only 5 it seems, but after you have done them the time gate will be lifted. ALSO it will allow you the option to keep the car when you play through a second time (after a fee has been paid, cheaper with a fake document business) That is what he data miners have said, but they have had missed the mark before

Wow, one of the best dlcs in GTA Online didn't even get a trailer on time....

Given one of the options for the car heist is to sell it, it would make sense you can only do that once then you can just salvage it if you wanted to keep earning money. The salvaging takes time and limited space so there is already a method to stop people from keep doing it that way. Edit: The buying yourself could be limited because it takes time for you to be able to use it (like making fake registration and what not). The sell value could be 0 or something to make people not just sell the vehicles afterwards for profit. Edit: The benefit of the document forgery could be you need that to do it once per week, then with the staff and equipment upgrades makes it possible to do it 2 more times per week. I believe the document forgery just makes the buying cheaper which can be dropped if they go with my suggestion instead.

I completely agree with this, it's so annoying I was so hype to replay these missions bc they're really fun! But the cooldown is absolutely absurd

They are trying to Normalize some of the grindy features for the next online iteration but Its really cool that they are trying to connect all the different businesses that you have to use together like the document forgery to get 10k as a tax for the vehicles that you stolen rather than 20k. And that they are trying different mechanics I also dont think they will go the route to slow people down by limiting how much you can play to make money in the next gta online or this one.

This really feels like a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" scenario. The players that are the most vocal are the ones that play the most, they want to find easter eggs or share an OP way to get through a mission (early Rooftop Rumble...up to Stab City Survival dumpster, Casino Heist Police Chopper, etc). This update stops them from doing that so they're going to complain. That said, I do think it's a good update since it's been way less difficult than some of the previous stuff with constant aimbot enemies and limited weapons/vehicles.

Bro tbh the worst part about the nerfs for me is that I just started playing. I started about a month ago and was immediately interested but so confused. I couldn’t even walk down the sidewalk without getting hit by an oppressor lol. Now a month later I have all the MC businesses, nightclub, arcade, bunker, acid lab, hangar, kosatka and run the Cayo as soon as it’s ready in between grinding my businesses. Things like the oppressor being 3x the price and the cayo cooldown being longer than it used to with less of a payout have been really discouraging to me. I’m hoping to get GTA 6 right away so I can start on a level playing field! Thx for the videos man!

Been playing since 2016 and I'm glad that me and my friends aren't the type of people who go and buy shark cards and play that way. I play casually, maybe once a month maybe twice. I like Deadline quite a lot, I like Motor Wars, I like Snipers VS Stunters, but otherwise its racing and roaming the map pretending I'm in Los Angeles, for a lot less money than it costs for a trip there from where I live. Love your video, keep up the great work!

I was on a delivery in GTA just to get the last bit of money I needed for the salvage yard, then my Xbox killed itself, and wouldn’t turn on again when I was halfway through the delivery. Happy that I’ve seen this video now just before my new one arrives.

I agree a week is too long, honestly a day wouldn't be too bad for several of the activities and could help players diversify their money making and maybe not burn out so quickly. Honestly I feel a lot of businesses/heists need a payout increase to make them more relevant, like all the MC businesses, like sure it's some nice passive money, but really with the cost of some of these nice jets, the service vehicles and what not, it would take forever for someone starting out to get to where they need to be. Like the bunker for instance, you make like 130k every 2 hrs with an upgraded bunker doing solo sell missions, just to by a terrorbyte without any upgrades it would take you 20 hrs relying on this business alone, and the simple fact is, most people aren't going to be hitting that perfectly every hour Bringing businesses on par with cayo perico would help players enjoy other aspects of the game and with the purchase cost creep over the years it's much needed

I’m logged in rn on PS4. I am grinding tow truck missions and vehicle cargo. You know all I wanted was a vehicle warehouse garage for personal vehicles but rockstar does the 100 car garage behind the gta+ pay wall and that is really upsetting as a longtime player.

I was fine with the Cayo time cool down so it makes you do another thing but ever since they upped the start up cost and nerfed the payout it’s no longer worth it for me

The one instance of Rockstar's meddling that really pissed me off is only tangentially related to GTA. During the RDR2 Online beta, they realized players were session hopping at certain places around the map where players could loot ammo, jewelry, and other supplies that were hard to come by. They decided that players can't do that and implemented a 48min cooldown on the loot... that was one of the final nails in the coffin for me and I straight up just quit playing RDRO shortly after that. I hear they've made some significant improvements to what's available over the years but I've had no desire to go back.

The dr. Dre contract has been bugged and is almost uncompleteable. When you play the final for the south central leak there is almost a 90% chance for it to lock you and not complete the mission when you try and deliver the vagos lowrider.

I just want to be able to do the Casino Heist solo

every point you made makes complete sense like id love to just buy 1 car every 2 to 3 weeks but i wanna do the missions like all the time not having to wait a complete week, id rather it be maybe an hour cooldown to reset all 3 cars so i can go of in the meantime to fill up my large warehouse, comeback and then do all 3 missions again, i dont do cayo at all, id rather do my passive businesses like the night club or as like i said, fill my warehouses up then just comeback to the 3 car missions instead of waiting a complete week as then id have nothing to do and it just gets boring doing the same exact thing over and over again which really bores me entirely

The cooldown partially makes sense because some of people were getting tired of the game because of burnout from grinding so much (I speak from personal experience) but there were so many other ways to go about it. For one, they could have increased payouts of other stuff. They could also make certain things more solo-grinder friendly. There were other alternatives to the cooldown nerf. Even if they stuck with it they could have made it more reasonable like 1 in game day. Recently, I haven’t been playing cayo, I’ve been trying to do other things. And I’ve been enjoying the game a lot more. But if you are trying to get players to do other stuff then why discourage them from the things that you want them to do with cooldowns? I feel like for the new dlc the cooldown is just too much. I’d be fine with a cooldown like 1 or even 2 days but like 1 week is way too much

Having an hour or 2 cooldown in the chop shop would be ok. Why they decided we can only do 3 a week is absolutely mental and makes no sense

i’m glad i’m the not only annoyed by the time restrictions and mission restrictions a week is crazy but for me the biggest kicker is having to win 3-4 properties to do every car related business you can do in a game called “GTA” i don’t understand why i can’t have one centeral property for the salvage yard, vehicle warehouse and auto shop

They ought to do what they did with the auto shop where the contracts refresh every so often. They could just do that with the cars too I feel like that along with a short cooldown time would balance it out enough.

Yeah, simple solution in my opinion would be to slightly reduce payments per times you do each mission but allow as many times as you want per week. Also not able to buy the vehicle etc.

I wouldn’t have a problem with the cooldown if they gave us more money, at least 3x would do for me

I get the point about not stopping the player doing missions, but they want the control of which cars you will be able to buy. Because even if we could only buy 1 or 2 cars each week with the new feature, allowing us to play more car robberies would allow us to keep re-rolling the cars we have have in the salvage yard until we have the cars we want to buy, and for them that would be too OP.

I hope gta 6 isn’t like this…

I like the idea of the chop shop, Its fun to play but I wish it was like 8 cars not 3 per week but i do like the idea of being able to buy the cars for really cheap.

Or out of the three vehicles the players steals, they can only buy one or buy the one they're currently stealing. That may work

Another thing they did with the Auto shop along with the update now the Auto shop now the service vehicles change daily regardless if you start upgrading them or not! I had a vehicle I was thinking of buying it was one of the removed vehicles and noticed got a message saying a new customer dropped car off and day before both bays was full.

what many dont get is that adding a cooldown to Cayo and nerfing the loot was actually healthy for the game and its economy. But what they should do instead is to allow players to play the content, and just nerfing the loot that you get for the replays per week. E.g. 90% 2nd time, 50% from 3rd time on. Percentages are obviously debatable, but in general this concept could be applied to the most paying activities. This way keeping them attractive without making them problematic. And yes to what you also said in the video, just limit the amount of obtainable cars, easy.

I don't mind cooldowns, but a week is a bit long. What they could do is give once a day bonuses for everything. 2x $ on 1 bunker sale a day, 1 hanger sale a day, ect. This would encourage us to do everything. They would have to balance it, but adding in bonuses would be so much better than putting time walls up.

The Arena Wars mission is so fun. Having a shootout in there with the cars driving around was nice

I have a second avatar in GTA online, and I bought the salvage yard business for that character which I have barely started. To me, it is no big deal. I can easily double the money doing the chop shop heists using both characters, but I can only make about 1.8 million combined plus the other businesses including gunrunning, nightclub, air freight etc.

Feels like gta6 is going to have pay to level up or pay to advance in unlock maps just to make an extra penny.

Most people don't play the game as a full time job, for us it's not a huge problem I think. It's a bit like watching a series. I probably wouldn't complete more than 3 of them a week anyway, and this adds another excitement factor to the game, waiting what cars, missions we get next week.

TGG, I was talking with a friend about the acid lab, in the interact menu you can chance products name to make it more valuable, I didn't see anyone mentioning it! Can you take a look please? You're the best!

i got lucky and found someone looking for a crew to do cayo perico when i started online a couple years ago. did some other heists with them and made a bunch of money to spend on multiple businesses. I personally don't enjoy redoing missions one after the other so i didn't even know about most of these cooldowns. i personally enjoy spacing out different missions or jobs with just screwing around in freemode for a while. i mean, that's how i've approached every gta game since i started playing them. and while i agree with most of what you said, i guess there are many people who play like me so maybe there's not enough pressure on rockstar to change anything that much.

I hope Rockstar doesn't turn into the next EA/Activision. GTA San Andreas and Vice City was my childhood hope they don't screw up GTA 6

@TGG I have been having an issue and wanted to know if you have a solution.. My nightclub is making money passively but not making any south American or cash creation products, technicians are assigned and both businesses are active/making product.. I'm not sure why my night club is not making product for those two portions of the club.

Rockstar's only motive to make content is to make money, maybe not the individual devs, but the company as a whole. That's the point of companies. Rockstar, by making games, have two main ways of making money, either getting the money directly from players i.e shark card microtransactions or (rarely) making a new game. The other option they have to make money that not many people talk about, is to get as many concurrent and returning players as possible, in which they can then go shot to investors and say "look at our large and dedicated playerbase! We're a low risk high reward company worth investing in!". So with those two facts in mind, you can then realize why rockstar likes to drag stuff for as long as they can like with drip feed content or long cooldowns. It's to make sure you play they game as long as possible, maybe not in one sitting, but you'll come back week after week helping them boast their numbers showing off their returning players. If you don't want to be stuck in that loop, then you'd simply pay to break it with buying shark cards.

I think part of it has to do with income as well. Because even if they allow us to redo the missions on a very deflated gain. Say 30-40 k per car. A good player can sell 2 along with the normal chip shop cars. Meaning total income would be like 200k per hour. Add on top all the other safes, nightclub, bunker, and cargo warehouse employees. And the hourly gain is pretty ridiculous.

one reason i never played any of the new updates including cayo perico and everything after, other than the Agency, is that theyre too expensive to get into. Scrounging together 3 mil or so just to start playing a new update is not necessarily difficult, but it just takes too long, and thats with my fully upgraded businesses i already own. And by the time i have actually got the money, im burnt out and i stop playing. By the time i want to play gta again, there’s a new update and once again i don’t have the money for it. This is ridiculous especially considering the base heists and the MC clubhouse are so cheap to get into.

Pro tip. If you ever get bad sport or a mic suspension have someone go to start, online, players, select your name, scroll down to COMMEND, and select friendly. Mic suspension will almost be immediately lifted. It may take multiple people commending you to get out of bad sport quick

The salvage tasks take place even when your Not online... so if you use tow truck to bring in 2 cars.. they will be gone and you will collect the money the next time you log in. (after 48 mins if you have the extra staff, 96 if not)

I don’t wanna say broke energy cause ur loaded but these things take time to see return like real life business. It’s good it teaches kids real life skills while having fun. But maybe they will add a heist too like a cluckinbell heist? Any ways good video. Love ur content.

I just came back to the game after a really long break. I logged on and did a payphone hit fufilling the bonus objective. I got some ridiculously low payment that I cant even remenber it was so bad. It wasn't even 25% of what it used to pay. My jaw hit the floor, it was terrible. That was one of my most favorite shorthand content for years.

How about after you finish mission that they give us a discount of 60...70 percent to buy and make it a one time discount kind of like discount you get in wheel at casino. Thoughts?

TGG can you please do a dedicated video going over the 100 vehicles that are coming to the chop shop heist? I'm really curious to see how many of the 100 vehicles are removed vehicles.

Client cars in the auto shop would disappear, which would be the first one all the time. I haven't encountered this since the new event week. I do like the payout for the towtruck salvage cars alongside how many you can do through an IRL day.

What I’m worried about is that the setups I did last weekend will be gone when the new vehicles drop this week. I will never do 3 of these missions in one week

I can do this salvage yard thing over and over again, first every profile is allowed to have a second character, second I have several parallel profiles, this partially comes from working around the cooldown timers heisting as well as farming techniques

Is there still a Christmas or snow for online if not just asking also hope there will be a Michael DLC before this year is almost over

havent played in a while, but when you "cant play the missions after you finish all 3" can you still join other players missions through invites on your phone??

I think at the end of the event weeks for the dlc all the vehicle salvage heists will be available to replay over and over

When I play I make about 1-1.5 mil per 1-2 hour session I wish it was more but I am satisfied…… that said your videos are GREAT 😊 please keep it going forever

there are the dax missions which are a.) fun and b.) pay you a lot the first time you do the missions. so it's not like rockstar can't let you do the missions for not a lot. and theres also the yacht missions AND the casino penthouse missions...

@TGG I won't lie, when I first saw your content, I didn't care for you. Now, after 3 years you, TheProfessional, and GhillieMaster are my top 3 go-to KZhead content creators. I agree with you 100% being limited is a drag, especially with the new content and once ALL 3 car robberies are done and utilize the tow truck nearly every hour is a drag. I failed EVERY single Car Robbery Challenge and wish I can redo the Robbery again just to get better at the challenges. I hope that you are right and it does get better. But man, this is just a torpedo whizzing under a barge. Sure, you would have hit the target but it's a barge and it just fell short.
