Yo, sick video and sick sound! i might do the exact same to mine :) I would like to ask what type of foam case did you use, or was ir plastic / rubber sheets? Either way man, keep at it!
Yo thanks for the comment! I used an old small mousepad for the foam part. Maybe it will sound better with an acoustic foam.
@@RavishKitty Hmm I see, do you think I would get a better result by adding 3-4 more layers of the same material foam that the stock keyboard already has? I just happen to have that same exact material/foam at home. Or should I just go with packaging foam just like you did? It’s my 1st time attempting to mod a keyboard btw.
@@kikojffr in this keyboard you cant add more cause the case wont close! 1 layer of acoustic foam or mousepad in my case will do the trick! Also lube helps ALOT but it takes a bit to do.
@@RavishKitty Yeah im currently lubing the switches, 26 to go, ufff this takes a while... Also, for the stabs do you recommend the holie mon mod, the wrap or just the lube is good enought?

Nice mod bro! But why did you leave the middle part empty when adding foam to the case?
There is a silicon layer there. No need to add foam! (If you mean the spot where I didn't put foam, it's because the case won't close properly)
Sooo In total, you used G-Lube, masking tape, a small brush, tweezers to hold parts while lubing, and that's all you need? I'm learning keyboard modding (i got the same exact keyboard but it's in the Daybreak colorway) and im wondering if thats all i need to do this, as my One 3 speed silver doesnt sound too good honestly
Yeah i also used a small mouse pad for padding inside the keyboard. I also plan on switching the switches to Milky yellows or sth like that so it sounds and feels way way better!

Hey totally new to modding but thinking of picking this keyboard up, I want to do the exact same mods by following this video except for the tape mod. Maybe a silly question but do you think the tape mod adds a significant difference to the sound of this board?
Hey! No worries that was my first mod ever as well. It is easier than you think, just takes a lot of time to lube the switches. The tape mod is definitely going to improve the sound on the keyboard. You can always test it without the tape mod and if you want to mod it later you just open the keyboard and tape it. Easy! Glad i helped :)

The switches are fine after lube but you can still get another set of switches if you want to.

Thats how the keyboard comes in the first place! I got the one with the white caps.

Its gonna improve the sound for sure....but you are not gonna get that lubed switch feeling and sound probably.
Is painters tape safe for this mod?
Yes. Only use painters tape. Don't use anything else or you might create static electricity
