  • One time I was at an oceanside party at night in a house full of people, overlooking the moonlit ocean and the power went out. It got dead quiet. I went over to the grand piano and started playing Moonlight Sonata and everyone just had to sit and listen in just total darkness except the light from the ocean. It was mesmerizing. I’ll never forget the moment.

    • Beethoven hated it and never wanted it published, it was published after he died. The original was called Bagatelle and then he wrote what is now known as Für Elise. He wasn’t happy with his second attempt either. Today it has to be his best known and loved piece along with his 5th symphony.

He was 10 years old when I was 6. I tried to play the piano too, emulating my older brother like all younger brothers do, but I didn't have his gift. • Oh, that's too funny! I didn't even realize I was not on Vinheteiro's channel. Then when Lisa came on, I thought she was making a guest appearance, until I then looked at the channel name. Very clever. I love it! Those songs may very well be overplayed, but for a reason---they're great! Ok, well, maybe not the knuckle song, but it's the first thing a lot of kids learn.

  • OMG i totally agree. Thats my top 10 as well and have always refused to play. Except Canon in D because every person I played for their wedding wanted this as their music for the entourage at mass.
