  • Awesome video, loved watching the reactions of your parents. I just went back to the US last month for the first time after moving to Warsaw 4+ years ago. Two things surprised me. For one, I was unimpressed with most of the food that I was so much looking forward to eating again, the one exception being a good bone-in ribeye steak. I'm now cured of any longing I had for Shake Shack burgers, for example. Maybe my tastes have changed, maybe it took me a while to find places I like in Warsaw, but I don't feel I'm missing out on anything at all food wise here. The other thing that got me was the feeling that I was "away from home" while I was there. I couldn't wait to get back to familiar territory and family and friends in Warsaw.

  • Home is where you feel at home, regardless of the country, border and the rest. The USA is completely different from Poland and Polish cities, as well as European ones, although in many US cities you can find elements of the "old continent" in architecture.
