That forehand slice 😍
saw bucsa play iga at aus open and was just about a double bagel but she has some pretty good power in her shots and challenged gauff a little bit in some stages.
Gauff is level 6 in the world playing a level 100 qualifier Iga did what she was supposed to do nearly double bagel the poor girl and Coco is very high ranked and should have done the same as Iga but NOPE this match was actual close

@@joanka1915 bucsa was so bad....gauff was just asking her to take the match away late in the second set but bucsa was too gutless to take it (like most players in the wta rankned 30 or lower)
this is the early scrub rounds she isnt getting past Swiatek, Pegula, Barbora etc

Respectable second set for Bucsa. You can see why she's had success at ITF level and why she's been knocking at the door on the main tour. I just wish she was more of a problem solver mid-match because her return position here was ridiculously (and needlessly) aggressive and she never changed it. Taking Gauff's serves inside the baseline prevented her from getting her teeth into any opposing service game until the very end of the match. Had she been clubbing returns deep and long, she might've gotten away with it, but most of her returns were either into the net or very short and left her out of position for the remainder of the rally. If she's taken a step or two back and tried to work her way into the rally, this would've been a more competitive match.

from what im seeing the modification that coco is making is actually on the backhand side. her grip is a little different which allows her to hit the ball more in front of her than allowing it to get behind her, which also helps the backhand-to-forehand exchanges, allowing her a little more time to set up for the forehand which she's also hitting out more in front of her body. this is what Dimitrov should have done years ago.
Coco vs Noskova next rd should be a great one.
If you are not in the top 15-20 WTA players, then Gauff is probably going to beat you. She has separated herself from lower ranked players and will be a force to deal with for top 10 players now.

I love Coco Gauff and I like her game also her mental. But for me Coco has one big problem. She fears the strong and good players like Swatek Iga, Shakiri and so on. When Coco meet such players she think that it's impossible for her to beat them. This is coco Gauff's problem to win Grand slam. I encourage Coco Gauff to not fear any player. There's not a player who IS unstopable. So When you have to play against Iga Swatek, Garcia, Shakiri or Ons Janvier etc you should have winner mental. You should tell to yourself: I Can beat any opponent. Big UP to you Coco Gauff ! Go ahead my daughter. I love u

Coco beat some scrub. This proves she is the greatest and will win a calendar GS next year. Coco is the best. 😂 Just pre-emoting the usual “fans”. The only thing Gauff objectively looks likely to win is an award for the most voluntarily technically deficient forehand with that horrendous loop. That and Raducanu’s weird kink/stutter before striking on the forehand have to be the two most pointless self-imposed limitations in tennis

@@dejadeadnz every little win for her is a breakthrough. She’s 19. Coco could fold at any moment the same way a lot of wta stars did young but she’s been top 5 consistent since she came on the scene. And y’all still hate on her cause she gets support. Coco has a good few years of career in tennis left in her and she’s improving every way every year. That’s a good sign. You should be happy these girls in the top 10 now are pretty consistent cause they weren’t for awhile.
