  • Every prehistoric creature was somehow gigantic compared to similar creatures today.

    • I heard it's because the past had more oxygen which helped to grow the creatures' sizes.

  • Hi do you have any connection to the old all time conspiracy channel? I think I recognised the voice over as being a guy from that channel. I’m trying to get hold of a copy of the video made about the Big Grey man of Ben Mcduhi ! I’m planning a trip up to it next year early summer and would like to make my own video about it and use the original video as reference. If you could help in any way or put me in touch with the team that made it that would be fantastic. Thanks.

  • Just a bit of relief and doom to think about - if we ever reach the average temperatures that allowed those giant ancient snakes to thrive, no one has to worry about it. Because most of humanity would be already dead, if not completely extinct. We're already worried that it might be an extinction level event if Climate Change goes over the 3 degree Celsius threshold by the end of the century, with different potential chain of events causing total collapse of human societies... Also, separate question - wasn't there a scientific formula to calculate what size different species of animals could reach based only on gravity effects and perhaps stuff like skin surface area and lung volume? I remember seeing something like this somewhere.

    @SeanFication@SeanFication11 ай бұрын
    • When we talk about world ending today, its more from a view of human civilization as we know it. Earth and life will of course continue and might even flourish after human beings are gone. Human beings are worried more about their existence. If temperatures had remained that high, human beings and other warm blooded mammals would probably never have come into existence and cold blooded reptiles would still be ruling the earth
