I dont think Americans are disgusted with Meghan. She is looked at like any other person in the public eye. Americans as a whole have respect for the monarchy, and that's it. What Meghan does and what the monarchy does has no impact on the typical American's life. Most are only concerned about what's going on in our own lives. That's why Meghan is free to live her life as she pleases. No one is invested in her life, and she can do what she wants. Her popularity here in the US doesn't matter.

I'm American, I'm 70 yrs old I grew up watching your Queen Elizabeth. I've always admired her. As an American, everything H&M has done to the Royal family disgusts us. Titles need to be stripped.
No way!!!! What would be infinitely worse than Duchess Meghan (behaving as her American notion of how to be "classy") would be her then becoming Princess Meghan, as she certainly wouldn't adopt the correct title of Princess Henry. The only saving grace here in this sordid saga is Meghan Markle will be the 2nd and last American to marry into the Royal Family. Lady Colin Campbell got it correct, "Oh Harry, why didn't you just marry a nice African girl from Botswana or Lesotho". The King should let them both be (uncomfortable as it is for him), as they are both hanging themselves nicely without the RF ever having said a bad or spiteful word against them.

@@gillberridge9854 : A Dukedom title is in the gift of the Sovereign to anyone at any part of their life, whereas you become a Prince by being born a Prince by having your father a Prince or King. As it's not given it would be "difficult" to take it away! A Letters Patent controlled how many times down the line this applied. The real problem is up to recently their Sir name was Wales and there is every possibility that Meghan, being Meghan, would adopt (incorrectly) the title of Princess Meghan of Wales which is far too close to Catherine, Princess of Wales. Meghans correct title would be Princess Harry of Wales as it's her husband who is the Royal, not her. Duchess Meghan is bad enough!!!

I was talking to someone the other day who works in our local Post office we got talk about the Romanian people who have moved her loads of them he said yes they come on Monday for their money £900 I said they get more per month than I do my pension No he said £900 per WEEK. One came in last week and transferred £24-000 back to Romania this is why they are coming and they all have a house and car

Channel 5 did a programme about this a few years back, they bring all the kids birth certificates & get the family allowance as well. One guy was regularly going back & had actually built his house IN Romania with the money he racked in from benefits. Another guy came across & got both his hips replaced & wanted to "go home"!!. In my home town, one of the churches that feeds the 'poor', these lot are at the front of the queue to get the best of the pickings... but spend £15 for each ride at the funfare!! The UK is a soft touch & Thatcher would NEVER have let that happen..
