I've really been craving an Xmen game with 97 releasing. I couldn't even remember what this game was called, but I had it way back when and over the years I've thought about playing it again. Definitely have this on my list.

If it's okay to ask, do you think we'll be seeing any of it this year? I only ask due to the new show dropping soon. If you don't have an answer, that's fine, and I hope you're all alright! Life comes before work.
We're unsure on that. We can ask its project leader any news on its progress, but real life has been getting in the team's way.

Where do I get fbbuilder.exe? I'm also wondering if this mod would fix some screen tearing I'm experiencing when I'm playing the original on a system called Batocera with windows emulation?
I'm very curious how the character select screen is gonna work with all this added characters. Am I right in thinking it will be all console exclusive characters becoming available as well as all characters previously available in X-Men Legends 1 that didn't make it into X-Men Legends 2?
All characters from every version of XML2 and XML1 will be worked on, but there can only be 21 characters on the character select screen. You can choose which 21 you want beforehand.

It will be for all versions of XML2, not just PC.
are you going to upscale the textures and include x-men 90 costumes?? i did and upsacled mod for dolphin versions if need textures i can share them
Textures of skins will be carefully upscaled, yes. As for the 90 costumes and such, feel free to speak with the project leader, BaconWizard17 about that over at our forum or our Discord.
Which controllers work properly so I can walk diagonally? I have tried Xbox One, ps4, steam controller and switch pro controller none work and even the xbox wont let me hold down both triggers to do combos. any help would be great.
Honestly we need a XML3 it would be EPIC and I’m sure ppl would buy it, only concern is ppl talking smack how it may be similar to marvel ultimate alliance
We agree! The X-Men needs a new video game, and X-Men Legends 3 would be perfect... as long as it's not exclusive to one console.

Hey, I would like to ask will you guys be tweaking the danger room a bit to allow full matches such as no time limit; when the player wants to play enemy characters since in legends 1 for (ex.) you get 4 lives but it feels if only 2 minutes is implemented some enemies are better than others I get that but, fleshing out it will give me and many others if I'm not the only one a more hyped match( Just wondering since there's a bonus room).
The X2UP team can look into it, but there’s no guarantee right now. They haven’t researched that and they can’t confirm if it’s possible.

2:22 How did you get actual controller icons in some of these? I play it on PC and it shows keyboard controls even if I rebind which means I have to constantly remember what does what. That and the controller being stuck with 4-direction movement (which is not a thing with keyboard controls) makes it extremely clunky as I have to rotate the camera to simulate diagonal movement.
There's likely a way to do that. You can ask either at our forum or our Discord in the XML2 section.

@@codyvestal8826 Only through mods. Officially, both he and Pyro are only available in the PC version. You can ask jayglass, as he's familiar with console modding.

Yes, it will! Psylocke, Emma Frost, Jubilee and Magma will be included. This decision was made after the video was made.

Excuse me, i installed Venom mod V2 from nodoubt_jr's MUA1 & 2 Conversions: Ronin, Hawkeye, Green Goblin, Venom in game folder (PC version) and still not found a new charecter and try for another charecter as well but same here. Do you know how to fix this or need this patch to add more 20 charecter limit, thank you in advance.

If this is gonna be available on consoles, how does it work for ps2? Is it a whole now physical disk that you can order?
It’s going to just be the modded files, which you download and add to the extracted game assets. It will require an emulator or a modded console. Stock consoles can’t run modded games. When the X2UP is released, there will be a tutorial alongside it that shows how to extract the game’s assets, modify them, and compile them. It won’t cover how to actually mod the console itself, though, since there are dedicated communities for that sort of thing.

The patch is still being worked on. The forum will provide updates on its progress.
In this patch does it allow you to use a controller with the ability to move diagonally?
Sadly not. That’s a hard-coded issue that impacts certain models of controllers, and we don’t have any way to change it.

Meant to ask which powers cant be fixed, cause you said certain characters powers cannot be fixed/patched.

(1) Yes, it's still in progress. (2) No, no release date as of yet. (3) XML2 can only have 21 characters in a roster, so while everyone is included, they can't all be in there at one time.

@@Marvel_Mods i have followed these steps as best as possible. I cannot get the skins i have downloaded which are igb files to work on my gamecube version using the dolphin emulator. Are these files not compatible? Any way to convert igb files to fb? I got the 2.0 patch to work and it runs perfect on the gamecube version. I am totally lost as to why i cant get any of these skins to work. Please help.

Ok i'm here to ask: how the F do I mod games? Or just this one. I want to mod some abilities and talents to fix bugs or make everything work as intended but finding info about how the stuff acctually works is suprisingly difficult. HOW CAN I PERSONALLY MOD THIS GAME?

I noticed the game is full screen but doesnt look stretched in the first part of the video. Is this part of the patch?
Not a part of the patch. It looks like that normally. Even in 4:3 resolution settings, the game shouldn't stretch on PC. The video clips, though, are filmed in higher resolution at 16:9.

This isn't out yet, but it will be the XML2 equivalent of MUA's OCP taking priority, so it will likely interfere.

Some consoles are possible, but not done too often due to difficulty. You can speak to the modder called "jayglass" over at our website or our Discord server.

No news as of yet. Real life stuff has been getting in the way. We understand it's been a long wait thus far, but the project has not been abandoned. It's still happening, they just have to find the time.

What do you mean "modded characters on console"? You can't have mods on console to my knowledge. Which sucks.
At least for the Game Cube version there's some mods: Sabretooth, Pyro and (IIRC) even Beast.

Another genuine question will the XML characters have additional abilities or just the original 4? Also, yeah this has me hyped !!
