I've had experience being near a tornado before, one of the scariest times of my life. 4 people in my town died. They're faster than some people can prepare for, stronger than most expect, and sound like actual roaring. I still get nightmares about it sometimes...

Only ever seen mini tornados in Ireland. We never have big ones. The county I am in has the most mini tornados of all counties in Ireland. Had a few cyclones and it was pretty scary especially I live in the middle of the countryside. I am so sorry you lived through a tornado where people near by died. That must have been horrific.

That ending was terrifying. I grew up in Oklahoma so I dealt with a lot of tornadoes in my time, so I know exactly how scary that was.

I live in Kansas. However the part of Kansas I live, barely gets any tornadoes. Usually whenever a warning is issued a funnel cloud forms and tries to touch down to an area which is by an airfield/business park between the town I currently live in between another town that is about 20 minutes away from where I live. However this tornado shown in the episode reminded me of the one that hit Andover last year, as it destroyed/severely damaged a lot of houses and buildings. Ironically, the Wichita-Andover area, despite being.having more urban area gets more tornadoes than my area (which is basically a small town with some flat farmland, but that is off topic of the video)

All the good vibes between George and Mary are incongruous considering how bad things were just a couple of weeks ago. There was never any real resolution to their problems.
That is actually clever. It shows they never solve anything, they just try to pretend they are fine because they are used to it, but everything is piling up. It is not bad writing at all.
George tries to talk out their issues with her a lot but she will just nit have it. Even when Brenda wanted to have a raw conversation about what's going on, Mary went full beef mode. Brenda had to go beef mode with her to get her to cool down. Mary seems to need comoany in her explosions and company on the way down to talk anything out. Very childish behavior.
This is how families do. Sometimes they don’t really resolve issues.

But that's the way marriage, and family relationships are. Ups and downs, rarely is anything resolved. Often you just make the decision to love each other anyway
George has always tried his best with all his kids and you can really tell that he truly does love them all. Whilst Mary honestly is neglectful with her kids aside from Sheldon, especially with Missy through every season I just want to scream at her for how she treats her daughter. Missy's relationship with everyone else, you can plainly see that there really isn't a bias like her relationship with Georgie, meemaw and even Sheldon, who despite everything I feel shares the deepest bond with her.
@christopherbingham5092 she made her the trophy yes but look at when Missy went through that break up. Mary was so busy with her head up her own backside and Sheldon's she didn't even know anything had happened. Look at when George told Sheldon to stay out of the room for a bit because Missy was having a bad day and needed some space. Yes they shared that room but he could've given her a little bit of space and what happens? Mary comes in and as always doesn't find out what happened but immediately takes Sheldon's side despite him disobeying his father and starts yelling at Missy without even knowing what happened, just immediately presumed that Missy was in the wrong.

Never had to experience a tornado growing up, but I did have my fair share of wildfires. One of my earliest memories is seeing the sun tinted red from smoke as we were evacuating.
Tornadoes are no joke if you hear a warning do not hesitate, get to the safest place you can. I grew up in northern Alabama and I lived through April 27 2011. It was the biggest tornado outbreak I have ever been a part of and tornadoes are exactly as terrifying as they seem. Also if a tornado looks like it's not moving, then it's moving right toward you

@@buddies8757yeah, I've always wondered why, after a tornado, they, instead of building structures like, say a dome, they build the same wood frame houses that were easily taken out by a tornado. Granted, dome homes aren't the most aesthetically pleasing homes, but at least you wouldn't lose everything.

I moved out five days before it hit, and it tore up the neighbourhood I had been living in. It was unnerving when it happened, to know that a little shift of days and I could have been in the thick of it.

When you have a sibling who’s practicing jet-lack, never thinking bout sneaking out of the house. Sheldon was up during the night, while he saw Missy coming home late
when those tornados hit the south back in 2011, it was literally the worst day of my life. friends died, family members lost their homes. And where I lived they constantly did tornado drill practices, and they never told us when they were fake or not. it was bright and sunny outside, we heard the sirens, thought nothing of it. a few minutes later everything was pitch black...and a few hours later ...everything was gone. and worst of all not a lot of people had access to cable, or news channels. no one saw it coming until it was too late. now that i'm in my 20s, even the slightest storm scares me and i keep tabs on the weather CONSTANTLY. something like that really fucks with you
I’ve been lucky enough to never get hit with a real tornado, but we get tornado warnings every year. I’ve always taken it deadly seriously. Tornados are terrifying and the amount of destruction that can come out of nowhere is awful.
I lived near Okc, Oklahoma and was close to the Moore tornado in 2013 . It’s definitely a scary experience 😢 and same - that fear for any storm just scares you and lingers even to this day . I tense up when thunderstorms get bad and tornado sirens are haunting too . Even though I live in colorado now. , that same fear lingers and gets me when I hear a thunderstorm warning capable of producing tornadoes .

Heh, heh! Oh, come on now! Missy has been getting LOTS of attention since she stole the family car and ran away! Even she isn't complaining about that any longer. Her reaction to this supervision is to sneak out 32 times during the summer ---that suggests she is getting PLENTY of parental attention, and needs more! And she is making friends with bad characters who can inspire bad behavior in each other, as illustrated by the new neighbor girl.

I know it can be hard for foreigners to pronounce different languages correctly more often than not, but are they even trying? If there is no warning in place then it would have taken off if wind was alright. Sometimes it can spring up out of nowhere. Also pointing out the location of the airport they were coming back from, doesn't mean they were right next to it when they had to get out.

The only international airport is at least two hours (100-125 miles) away. Tornadoes are very localized events. It’s probably not even raining at airport.
Weren't they already in the air long before the storm hit? I mean, tornado warnings can spring up suddenly and they are usually only for a particular area at a time, if the airport was not in that location, they still would be having flights leave and enter the airport.

@Christopher Bingham let's break it down. He said "Wiedersehen" decently well, but the "Auf" was miles off. You don't even need to know an ounce of German to be able to pronounce "Auf", an English speaker should intuitively know how to say that. German phonetics are not that hard, considering English and German are both germanic languages.

Midway through the season, I could empathize with Missy for feeling ignored. She's just mean though. She just stole a truck a few weeks ago, she'smad people are ignoring her yet freaks out when they do care? he's a confused 13 year old yes. But I've only seen like 3 times in the last 3 seasons she actually cares about her family.

She sneaks out of her home 32 times during the summer to deceive her parents. She is practicing to be a strong, entitled woman like Mandy who can get herself in a lot of trouble but then can't manage the consequences. She's developing into the Paige she helped get out of trouble. By contrast, Sheldon is obnoxious but also strong and independent but with the self discipline and good judgement to determine what he wants and then devise the means to get it. What Paige needs is the self discipline and good judgement that Sheldon has, but she has abandoned.

Just being limited to the story line of the program is limiting. The ability to share impressions of what the characters are doing I find to be entertaining, as, apparently, do others. Paige has been a fun character in the past when she was flirting with Sheldon. Now she is on the way to getting in serious trouble.
That’s the point. They didn’t care about her when she needed it most and now doesn’t care about them as much. Her behaviour is the results of the neglect. It’s reached the point that can’t be fix with a few words and hugs. Damage is already done. They broke her of the empathic caring girl she was in early season.
The Wagner brothers speak More German in real life than it is in young Sheldon that it’s even hard to relate to, Because I write some of my lines in German when I’m writing a fanfiction on wattpad because My basketball crush plays for the Orlando Magic and Franz Speaks German in some of his interviews during the world Cup interview.

I've been through several tornado's before all a bit scary but all not the same. One was in highschool and was trapped in a car sitting in somes driveway and then the car started changing directions in the driveway, 2nd a few years later lost almost all I owned took my house.
