When people talk about rappers who are not black...... Its always Eminem....... Everybody forgets about this legend. MIKE SHINODA
wtf
they really to make songs together
100% bro
what did you just say?? hes good but not Eminem Good
NO disrespect to mike Shinoda because he is extremely talented but when talking about rap Eminem is on a whole different level than Mike. To say both of their names in one sentence is a shame. Aditya Eminem is a pure legend and one of the top 3 lyricist to ever spit a line
This album is some of the most positive hip hop I've ever heard. Mike was always all about making a difference, he still is. My mom didn't like me listening to music with "bad words" when I was 14, but my dad bought me this album for my birthday and didn't tell my mom. I'm so glad he did. RIP dad, I love you.

Fort Minor- do a comeback at 2021 we need more music like this
Mike Shinoda said he doesn't want to do more Fort Minor at least for now but he released his new song Happy Endings last month (under his own name)
LOUDER !!! ❤️
As Fort Minor's Lyricist, they've said all they need to say, but perhaps not, perhaps I could change this day;But I'll need some more effort and some time;To improve upon my dual line rhymes.

Where're you Mike??? Where're you mann? Please make a new album in Fort Minor before you get old, man. Please do this favor to history. We'll never forget you. LOVE U.
Linkin Park will always be his first priority, Fort Minor was just a side project :)
Your dreams have come true :D
Jeevan Kumar Actually, Post Traumatic (if you're talking about it) have nothing to do with Fort Minor. Mike Shinoda started it as a solo album.
SoulHunter I know, but Fort Minor's website has listed Post Traumatic.. So I guess there is some relation
Too many people think that Fort Minor is a group. It's just Mike's stage name for when he was doing music outside of Linkin Park. The other guys are Styles of Beyond, they're not IN Fort Minor. It's just Mike. He talked about it way back in 2004-2005 how he didn't wanna use Mike Shinoda as his stage name and decided to call himself Fort Minor, because there's multiple meanings behind that name, one of which is piano and music and he's been dealing in that since he was a little kid. So Post Traumatic or a new Fort Minor album. It's all the same. There wouldn't have been that much of a difference if he had put out Post Traumatic as FM. He just decided not to because it's a very personal project and he wanted to approach it as MS.

***** Isn't mike still in linkin park?
Time flies, but music has a way of making time stand still....if only for a song. I first heard "One Step Closer" by Mike Shinoda's main group Linkin Park in 1999 while re-roofing a house. I was... like 21?.... and I can remember we literally started a mosh pit on someone's roof. Just the 5 of us acting like we were bonafide insane. Strange thing is, I wouldn't give that memory up for the world. 38 now, much more responsible, blah blah blah, but there will always be a part of me that wishes he were there up on that roof again with not a care in the world. Ignorant, naive, even downright stupid..... but oh so alive. Every now and then you just have to check the wisdom at the door and act a fool.

The good life.
I'll share my own LP discovery story, though its not quite as awesome as yours! haha I first heard _In the End_ in the background of a Ghost Rider video, in 2006 I think, and I remember thinking _"this band is awesome! I gotta check out there other stuff!"_, so I did and that's how I got into LP. Later on that year, I remember hearing _Remember the Name_ and thinking _"this guy rapping sounds suspiciously similar to the guy in LP..."_, and as you will know, it was Mike! So flash forward to present, on my iTunes I now have 130+ LP songs, all the FM albums/mixtapes, and also the _Dead by Sunrise_ (Chester's side project) album So yeh, I've turned into quite the hardcore fan!
Gaz - LP has evolved over time, and some people think they "sold out", but all bands must continue to change or they die. Check out a track that Chester Bennington was featured on a while back called "Walking Dead" by DJ Z-trip. If I had my whole life to come up with just one good song I am not sure I could, and these guys are doing countless "side projects" in addition to Linkin Park. Creativity comes naturally to some, while people like me have to work at it. Regardless, it seems as though Shinoda lives in a reality that has many more hours in a day than the one I am stuck in.

Are they still a group today?
@@nandid.3733 No. Fort Minor has never been a group though. It´s the side project of Mike Shinoda, who´s better known for his work as writer, keybordist, rhythm guitarist and co-leader vocalist of his band Linkin Park. The Rising Tied Album (which this song belongs to) is the first Fort Minor album and it included the participation of the group Styles of Beyond in basically all songs, and in many of the songs tittle you can see (feat. Styles of Beyond) showing it´s just a feat... although this one doesn´t say it so I understand why you say FM is a group. So back to your question, the 2015 single "Welcome" was the last song by Fort Minor and nowadays Mike Shinoda is working as solo artist and he released the "Post-traumatic" album in 2018 and he´s currently working on the single "Open Door" which will be released pretty soon. You can find his new stuff in his channel "Mike Shinoda".
Even I was a kid until now I have a kid I still listening this song! What a masterpiece ❤️

Keep playing 'em I'm just saying, think back then, we was like one and the same On the right track, but I was on the wrong train Just like that, now you gotta face the pain And the devil's got a fresh new place to play And in your brain, like a maze you can never escape the rain Every damn day is the same shade of grey [Verse 2: Mike Shinoda] Hey, I use to have a little bit of plan Use to have a concept of where I stand But that concept slipped right out of my hand Now, I don't really even know who I am Yo, what do I have to say? Maybe I should do what I have to do to break free And whatever happens to you, we'll see But it's not gonna happen with me [Chorus: Mike Shinoda] I guess that this is where we've come to If you don't want to, then you don't have to believe me But I won't be there when you go down Just so you know now, you're on your own now, believe me [Verse 3: Mike Shinoda] Back then, I thought you were just like me Somebody who could see all the pain I see But you proved to me unintentionally That you would self destruct eventually Now I'll be thinking like the mistake I made doesn't hurt But it's not gonna work cause it's really much worse Than I thought, I wished you were something you were not And now this guilt is really all that I got [Verse 4: Tak] You turn your back and walk away in shame All you got is a memory of pain Nothing makes sense and you stare at the ground And hear my voice in your head when no one else is around So what do I have to say? Maybe I should do what I have to do to break free And whatever happens to you, we'll see But it's not gonna happen with me [Chorus: Mike Shinoda] I guess that this is where we've come to If you don't want to, then you don't have to believe me But I won't be there when you go down Just so you know now, you're on your own now, believe me I guess that this is where we've come to If you don't want to, then you don't have to believe me But I won't be there when you go down Just so you know now, you're on your own now, believe me [Outro: Mike Shinoda] (I'll do what I have to do) You're on your own now, believe me (Whatever happens to you You're on your own now, believe me (What do I have to say?) When I tell y’all I am so happy I found this song after over a decade of it living in my memory, the feeling of happy doesn’t even come close to explaining the feeling. When I first found this song I was a preteen, depressed as fuck with anger, trust and emotional issues from living with an abusive family. I felt like I was either going to take my life away before my 20s or I’d live alone for the rest of my life. This song brought me the little happiness I could feel when I listened to it as a kid. Now I’m 29 with two kids, a third on the way. Been with my wife 11 years. We both have great careers a brand new house. I am the happiest I’ve ever been. Granted I still feel like a nobody but if you’re someone like who I was, remember it gets better. Don’t be afraid to burn bridges with family if it means that at the end it helps you. Never give up. Never stop fighting.
Det er den sang jeg har ledt efter venner :-)

I love raps like these. There's actually a meaning and a story behind the lyrics. I can't fucking stand party rap. If I hear one more rapper spout about his money and his bitches 20 times in a song I'm jumping.
Naddia Bowen Anyone who trashes music like this but praises trashy party music from today is an idiot. I don't always shit on the popular songs from today, because I can understand why some people like them, and everyone has different tastes :) There's a difference between liking music and "recognizing musical talent" however, so when they start shitting on music like this I get pissed. For instance, I don't like classical music at all, I hate listening to it, but I recognize the musical talent behind some of it, so I respect it. tl;dr --> ye fam
+Lumpy Seal Honestly, I completely agree with you, mainstream songs nowadays can be catchy but they're nothing compared to the music we've had just a couple years ago. Linkin Park is hands down my favorite band/artist and so many people question why and I'm like cause they're actually good and they're *the* most respectable artists in the industry (the things they do for their fans and people in need). Yeah music taste is one of the most subjective things ever but there's a fine line between good and "catchy". *I like OneRepublic and Imagine Dragons tho, those guys are pretty respectable and make pretty good music imo* tl;dr good point lol
+Lumpy Seal exactly what I'm saying in my head all the time 50 cent for me is an exeption because he's just awesome like that I hate today's rappers like kanye gets a cool beat gets auto tune and repeats the word nigga and money sells 6 million records like wtf
+Lumpy Seal youre so cool and unique arent you
+Lumpy Seal Pitbul, Flo rida, etc. Argh.
