    • Thats adorable but not true. A dog is simply not as intelligent and follows basic genetic coding. We bred dogs for thousands of years and manipulated them to our liking until they became instinctively dependent on us. I love dogs. But its silly to say dogs understand what humans dont. A dog will follow anyone who feeds him. No matter if he is a rapist, serial killer or child molester. Dogs are awesome, animals are awesome. But dont compare them to humans. They simply dont comprehend and run on instincts primarily. Not free will and human levels of sentient awareness. Cant compare

    • @@lightup6751 exactly. Also, dogs don't have the concept of time. Meaning if you feed a pitbull his meal then Feed him 30 minutes later he's going to eat even if he throws up. He doesn't understand he just ate he just knows the human gave him food. Which is why he stays. They're intelligent, but they're still animals

    • @@lightup6751 ummmm nope. I've a dog from a horrendous background and its taken her whole life to trust good people, differentiate normal behaviour. In her senior years she senses evil people, can differentiate and she's always right. I've had other dogs like that, a boys that would bark and bark like mad at someone puzzled by it, then when I look into that person, turns out they are a bad egg. Equally all my dogs have been wonderfully considerate around very elderly people or people in wheelchairs, they completely tunned into them.

    • I know I'm going to get roundly attacked, but I find aspects of this video worrying. Bronson is overly attached to his male owner - this can be extremely dangerous, not least in a dog as powerful as Bronson, you saw how he was when his sibling dog approached their father - yes, on one level it's 'cute' when presented in a cute video; but dogs who become overly attached, protective or guarding of anything, be it food, toys OR owners are a risk. Not least to people that they deem a threat, or feel is getting too close to their pack leader - in this case the male owner. But most importantly if this couple want kids at some point, this level of over-attachment in an animal is a cause for concern. Bronson's jealousy and attachment would put any animal behaviorist on edge when a child comes into the 'pack'. In Bronson's mind his dad's the Alpha and he's the Beta, dogs have such a rigid pack hierarchy. They need to be encouraging Bronson to become more independent, less needy and most vitally not to 'guard' his father 24/7.

      @swilson5320@swilson53203 жыл бұрын
    • @@swilson5320 There already is a problem, problem is, they're presenting it as if it's cute. Bronson is far too powerful to let this behavior reach crisis point - were they to have a baby, I have to say, I simply would not want a dog that powerful and with such strong attachment and guarding issues in the same house. Another problem is that in breaking these behaviors with ANY dog, the dog will get frustrated and possibly vent its frustration with nipping, biting etc again with a dog as powerful as Bronson, a one-off show of aggression or anger can result in ... death. I'm sorry to sound melodramatic, BUT this is an extremely worrying video, Dodo and other sites which anthropomorphize animals treat them like cute little humans, they're not, dogs especially as wonderful as they can be are domesticated wild animals with very primal behaviors and urges - Bronson's reading of the pack hierarchy in this home is totally off. He would be far better placed with a single owner or a pack owner, who will teach him what it is to be a dog. Bronson thinks he's on a level with the humans in this home - look at all the rituals he insists in sharing in with his dad. Very worrying.

I sort of had one that parents had before I was born and grew up with her during my early years of life. But had a pit that I got for my daughter and he ended up being almost everything you would want in a dog and more. He acted more like a person than a dog most of the time. Unfortunately he ended up with liver cancer and had to be put down a few years back. We were lucky enough to have a bit over 7 years with him though.

    • I disagree, Bronson is overly attached to his male owner - this can be dangerous, you saw how he was when his sibling dog approached their father - yes, on one level it's 'cute' when presented in a cute video; but dogs who become overly attached, protective or guarding of anything, be it food, toys OR owners are a risk.

      @ddandymann@ddandymann3 жыл бұрын
    • @@ddandymann Yes, I agree. Bronson clearly defers to the male owner as pack leader. What we don't see and would be interesting, is his behavior when he's alone with his female owner. Does he defer to her? Does he guard food/toys etc I'd also like to see how he behaves with his brother pit bull when the male owner isn't here. He's clearly deeply possessive of the male owner, at least, with his brother. The worrying thing is his possessive pawing, and also allowing him in the bed - they have to cut that out. I do think that they have to make him aware of his place in the hierarchy - in the video Bronson gets attention first when dad comes home, is this a regular occurrence? If so, they should absolutely make his girlfriend the first person to be greeted and get attention. I also agree this is just a snippet - but it's a snippet which is being presented as the regular house dynamic and if this is so, then Bronson clearly sees himself as second in command, which regardless of his behavior or aggression (and he may have absolutely no propensity for violence), is an absolute no no and mistake for ANY dog.

    • To be fair there are plenty of dogs that would get the look of fear and disgust in their face and body language as soon as they realize the owners want to get them near a shower, bath tub. There is a channel covering adorable Marmaluts (huskies in my understanding or similar). The toddler of the family was hanging on to the back of the dog and it was fun to go up to the first floor (dog should have remembered there was the infamous room where he had to endure baths in the past, but because of the fun with the baby he did not remember). They are sledge dogs and in they can go into water if they are outdoors, I think that dog liked to go into lakes (in summer) - but he hated to get a bath. At the end of the stairs one could see the open door and into the bath. You can see when the dog realizes that means that his mean owners likely have the intent to wash him (he was stinky). It was highly comical. They nuged the hesistant dog into the bath and with the moral support of the toddler (that was in the bath and stayed there during the whole "ordeal", the dog did not _resist_ to be nudged into the bathtub. Not cooperating but resigning himself after the first shock of what his hooomans inflicted on him.

    • @@xyzsame4081 Malamute is the breed name. And yeah, I had a sled dog who loved water but I can't even imagine what trying to give her a bath would have been like. 😂 On the flip side, though, Zeus the Stubborn Husky has a video on his channel where he's throwing a tantrum in the bath tub because he wants his owner to turn the water on. To each their own, I guess!
