  • About your round 3 (the second game you played today)...

  • Not usually a guy who does your mom comments, but your mom did a great commentary on your game. It was really great content to see the commentary while the tournament was live. I appreciated the way she went deep into alternative lines while you were thinking and it made her analysis very accessible. She was so happy when you played the best moves. It would help me understand more if you could show the game board in one spot and the analysis Pia was doing on another spot The only part of the experience I didn’t love was the live comments. It few bad apples were unkind to the kid because he was getting up a lot and having a Mountain Dew. Maybe we can expand the rules for live comments to not make comments it would hurt the kid to read later. All the jokes about some random kid peeing a lot. Like it’s a random normal smart kid and an early first exposure to a big audience, the comments is half bad jokes about how much he pees and semi racist stuff about Mountain Dew being a delicacy to him. Felt like bullying. If I was playing some chess celebrity in another country as a kid like that and later rewatched the live stream I’d be a bit traumatized. Don’t people remember what it feels like to be a kid? It was only a couple people making the comments but maybe the moderator could do away with that next time? It’s unkind to the kid and it’s just a couple idiots dragging it down for everyone else. I know there was active moderation pulling down even worse stuff but it should be a bit more aggressive when it’s a kid.
