The Wither Storm was one of the coolest aspects of Minecraft: Story Mode. That and the armors the player character gets.

i know telltale wasnt for everyone but it felt like dnd(lite) and i love having games where your decisions matter and affect story progression. getting a group together for dnd is super hard with several people and their schedules so tell tale games helped me brainstorm characrer ideas while waiting for meetups.

You as the last of an ancient race in a post apocalyptic world filled with zombies, two other races of remaining humans, one of which seeks to destroy the other in revenge, expand it’s empire and foolishly follow the dangerous path to conquer life and death that was the demise of the ancient race they’re now imitating, repeating history, and there’s also a whole fucking ruined polar dimension turned into a scorching desert wasteland comparable to that of the underworld, littered with the little remnants of a super metal that was exploited to almost extinction?
Tip: After spawning the wither storm you have 50 seconds until it actually spawns, giving you time to run away as far as possible. If you manage to run far away enough the wither storm will not chase you giving you 30 minutes of normal gameplay before it reaches phase 4. Also you guys exploded the wither storm too early. It needs to be in phase 5 for the symbiont to spawn.

I’m so glad to see this mod everywhere. I saw a mod review on it and was shocked how DETAILED it is! Imagine a survival world challenge with this. I figure the nether is your best shot
well a survival world IS what the mod is meant for, you're supposed to spawn the storm before you have actual good gear, maybe stone tools and some food, then you spawn the storm.

This mod deserves the attention
The Witherstorm's entire concept is utterly horrifying. You've got what is essentially a massive, sentient natural disaster tearing through the world. You can't stay in one spot for too long, and the only place you're fully safe from it is in a different dimension- I wouldn't want to be in your place!
A dimension that is literally hell
You know it's bad when the dimension that is considered as literal hell is the safest place to be
The end is the safest place to be
That’s why the best way to deal with it is to not spawn it until you have a power 5 bow and then kill it in its first phase.

I was one of those losers who actually liked Minecraft Story Mode when it came out, and I still stand by it being one of the best pieces of cannon Minecraft content

Honestly, I think Minecraft story mode felt realistic. Of course the characters looked wimpy to us because we judge them as players with the respawn button, but to them, going to the nether or doing pretty regular Minecraft things would mean running the risk of genuinely losing their lives permanently. Now, let's be honest, how many of us would face a floating, fire ball spitting, screaming ghost looking creature irl?

The wither storm at night basically turns minecraft into a horror game. I mean how scary would it be if he started coming toward you suddenly.
Not to mention it’s nearly impossible to it in the night besides its beams.

I honestly can’t believe that even after years since it ended, Minecraft story mode (especially the wither storm) still has a huge influence on the community today.
I love how when the Wither Storm was spawned, the theme of it from Minecraft Story Mode started playing. It's amazing how detailed mods and stuff are now

Sean being fundamentally unable to understand lava shows he was 11/10 stressed.
not only does the theme gives you SOOO much nostalgia, but it gives the beast such an atmosphere due to all the build ups.... i love it
Robert is basically the one keeping this team together with how calm and rational he is, meanwhile Sean panics (but does his best to also be helpful) and Kim makes it harder for them with his antics and getting lost
Imagine a Warden equivalent to the Wither Storm, “Warden Storm” or some other name that’s actually creative where it evolves into stages like this and just starts destroying your survival world

First time watching these guys and I already love their dynamic. Reminds me when I was younger and playing with my pals the way they speak. Kim is especially great. He's like Karl from the Ricky Gervais show of the trio. Deadpan, a little sarcastic, and even his voice is similar to his. Even his delivery!
The fact that when you download this mod you can still see The Wither Storm up to 10k blocks away just makes it more scarier cuz you know anywhere you go you will always see it because it’s that massive

I love how the Wither Storm had all those villagers to kill, and still went for the 3 of you.
That's what it does. It seeks to kill those who hold it back.
Players are the biggest threat to it, since they can craft and use weapons and not have their arms folded for their entire life
It's probably supposed to be like the actual game, (MC:SM) where it follows the order of the stone's amulet, but for some reason they didn't add the amulet to the mod lol
heres a tip: correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure spamming the water bucket or holding down the water bucket is a bad idea as you might place it then pick up the water before you land the best way to clutch is to just time it well and click once
That is right, one click with good timing. I've placed water down and accidentally picked it up, killing myself in the process.

What I do is I spam and just react to stop when I hit it
my anxiety peaks everytime Sean and Kim get too close to each other while on the edge of falling into lava
Most players: *go out of their way to avoid hurting a zombified piglin so that they don't trigger a hoarde of enemies* Kim: *casually shoots one for no reason*
Please do one of these without giving yourself items beforehand, it would be incredible to see how you survive for 100 days and on the last day kill the witherstorm. or maybe having 5 - 10 people without items and they have to survive the longest.

I'd imagine that challenge wouldn't last too long, since the normal Wither can fly, attacks anything with a pulse with explosive skulls, and has a second stage where an entire weapon type is ineffective. Couple that with the ability to basically absorb blocks into itself, making itself bigger and possibly healing itself. While also giving it fuck off laser beams, tendrils and (if I remember this mod correctly) the ability to spawn smaller wither storms out of itself once it gets big enough. The world might not last 100 days

Cracker’s witherstorm mod is severely underrated, I can’t explain how much of a unique playstyle this forces upon the player if done from the get-go. The mod is incredibly, and I mean incredibly well made. I really hope it continues to be updated and I hope moreso that more videos are made on it and attention is brought towards it in the future.
The buildup and aftermath of Kim shooting one of the zombie piglins had me in stitches 😭
From what I heard this mod would be perfect for a 100 days as the wither storm follows the player and if there are multiple players on the realm it goes to where the most people are
Actually, it goes to the closest player, but you can change it in the settings to target groups of players instead.

This mod would be perfect for a 100 players VS Wither Storm Challenge in Permadeath. Who can defeat this World Boss type mob? Who has the BALLZ to clap it's ass cheeks!? OH! and no cheating! Cheatings for the weak!

I love the genuine suspense that surrounds both the wither and the wither storm in a lot of playthroughs of this game, given that the wither itself is literally just death given life. it's entire existence is antithetical to what it is, as suddenly a being comprised solely of death and decay has been given a living body. Canonically soul sand is the sand that absorbed the souls of the ancient builders that were buried there when they lived in the nether for a bit, and wither skeletons are the bodies of those same souls now without a soul and brought back as essentially a wraith. So when you take two aspects of a person that doesn't exist anymore, and try to create life out of those two examples of pure death, you create the wither, a living, breathing flaming, screaming, writhing mass of bones and sand that exists as unlife, So it starts killing everything around it, ironically also creating the wither roses at the spot where a person was killed by it

i was so hyped to see this (or just a very similar one) in the marketplace on my switch version, i’d love to play it sometime soon bc this looks like so much fun to mess with
Id love to see a city defense with this thing coming in. Watched some really cool wars before between players so I can picture a small army of players trying to kill this thing or at least hold it off till the bomb is dropped.
Fun fact: all nether portals spawn with the corners filled in, and if you're a few obsidian short you can mine the corners to make new portals.

I understand this would be difficult but it would be neat see someone spawn the wither from a distance with redstone, and then play normally by starting off with nothing. Ecause even though they do not have much they still made it alot easier for them selves.
Just a note fireworks on crossbows are very strong. The more fire charges you add the better. You had multishot and quic charge then you got a shotgun

Minecraft story mod made one of the coolest bosses
Heres a tip, run as fast as possible to a village to only get wheat for bread and one or 2 beds. If the spawning structure is near the ocean, then get a boat and ride it far as possible to survive. You can either prepair in pure survival or you could go in creative to get tools to prepare.
Nice to meet someone who hasn’t actually played MC Story Mode. I can remember events of Ep 1. In both OG and Netflix Interactive. And yes, as someone who’s played MC Story Mode, if his purple light lands on you, no matter where, you’ll be sucked up.
Ye and if ur in a cave you get stuck in the ceiling unless you mine up and shoot it or one of your friends shoot it. Minecraft story mode was the OG.
The narrator tells you about The Order of the Stone, the game cuts to a choice that effects the after credits scene of 'A Journey's End?' After Axel FNaF jumpscares the crew they do a training montages. Eventually you get to the building competition and either win or lose. One of the Ocelots will then break a block setting the Ender Dragon costume that Axel gave to Rueben on fire, though in the Netflix Interactive version your forced to go alone, though in the real game you can go with Olivia and Axel losing your spot at the Endercon winning competition. You eventually find Rueben though are surrounded, you can either let Rueben book it causing him to almost get killed, or don't let him leave causing him to get hit giving him a purple eye. before getting killed Petra finds you and brings you to her secret cave giving him the option of making a lever, or stone sword, making the lever will let you use it in Episode 4 'A Block and a Hard Place in Ivor's secret Shack. they are then surrounded by a bunch of mobs forcing them to jump off a bridge, leaving the cave and heading to Endercon, once there they get away from the group and Ivor appears while Jesse is waiting for Petra to come back and starts questioning him, eventually she comes and gives him the wither skull he asked for, though gets ripped off and gets lapis, they find him heading into the booth, though after breaking a chicken dispenser they get inside and into Ivor's base eventually finding Ivor's plan, though they get caught and all run away except Lukas who is still in his hiding place. They make it out, though in the process of running away they forget Lukas, going for Lukas will cause Jesse and Rueben to distract the golem getting Lukas out in no time, going for Gabriel will cause you to cut in a line of crowd, telling him about Ivor's base, he doesn't buy it and no matter what you the Wither Storm is unleashed, though what I forgot to mention is that Axel stole a potion that deactivates it. They run eventually making it to a portal and whoever you don't save will be heavily infected with Wither Sickness at the end of Episode 3 'The Last Place You'll Look', while the one that you do save gets it gradually. They make it to the Nether and must make it out through a perilous minecart ride leaving them near a temple they could either choose to make a treehouse, or dirt hut, Lukas and Axel having a fight, eventually ending with Lukas leaving the hut, or them staying. they eventually find the temple and after running from dispensers and shooting a way to deactivate the defense system, they then learn that Ivor used to be a member of The Order of the Stone, and wants payback, but for whatever reason he wants them to learn a lesson, they make it to the roof, and after turning on a set of lights that reveal where 2 out of the 4 members are Magnus in Boom Town, and Ellegaard in Redstonia, Jesse must choose whether they're going to go either Oliva in Redstonia, or Axel in Boom Town, Lukas decides to stay behind no matter what, as he is on the look out for Petra in case she finds her way. The episode ends with a shot of the Wither Storm sucking up the world.

I recently revisited both Telltale games, after seeing this mod, and I'm pleasantly surprised to see how well they recreated this.
I'm only 11 minutes in and I'm already laughing, from the guy just KNOWING that he was considering dropping him into lava and "I don't know how to beat this puzzle". The teleport to the cieling and come down swinging manuever was pretty epic.

You made a mistake with summoning the Symbiont before phase 5. Once Phase 5 hits and it naturally summpons the Symbiont, the storm ignores you.

Thanks to Telltale, with a collaboration with Mojang, the Minecraft developers that created this monstrosity that originated in Minecraft: Story Mode. It's a game, now you can only watch it youtube somewhere.

The concept of the wither storm is so awesome and terrifying. It gives every aspect of normal minecraft a sense of agency because no matter where you are in the overworld, you know this eldritch horror is following you and growing stronger each day 😳
