6 Building Tips for Creative Base Designs (No Mods) - Guide | Conan Exiles

2024 ж. 15 Мам.

In this video we share some of our favorite, mostly structural building tips to help make your builds in Conan Exiles look less boxy and more creative. These tips require no mods and we hope that builders who are new to the game - or those already in love with its building system, will find some of the tips helpful. While you might have seen some of our Building Showcases where we use several mods in order to create more elaborate structures, there is a lot which can be done without mods in Conan Exiles to improve your build’s look and aesthetic feel! Quick Links:
00:00 - Intro
00:26 - #1 Side-by-Side Foundations
02:00 - #2 Round Foundations for Bases & Towers
04:04 - #3 Bridging longer Gaps
06:20 - #4 Foundations: Fence Trick for Height
08:01 - #5 Non-Centered Pillars
10:07 - #6 Roofs & Awnings: Overlapping Edges

  • Benn building complex structures in Conan for a while now and I still love those roof tips. However, if you are trying to build functional buildings that look as pretty from the inside as out, connecting those levels with stairs can be a nigfhtmare with either elements sticking through the floors or you creating "dead" floors to hide the problem pieces in a closed off space.

  • Does the overlapping roof technique influence stability of the structure? I've seen another technique, where you can place a pillar at the corner of foundation, but there was a note that it bugs out stability, saying that it is 100%, but actually breaking down when server resets. I wonder if this technique has the same effect, as I would like to build entire floor that is overlapping the lower one, but I wouldn't want to log in to the entire thing being ruined.

    • Just tested it in game and while it's a bit tricky, it can be done by combining the pillar trick with the roof trick (to offset the alignment). So yes, it's possible!

  • How are you deleting the walls and builds so quickly like that without going through the menu wheel?

    @Areis2853@Areis2853 Жыл бұрын
    • In admin mode, you can use a shortcut for deleting items quickly - for PC, it's Shift+Delete. The good news for non-admins, is that the new building system that was introduced with Update 3.0 let's you also switch to a "Remove" mode where you can very easily delete things quickly.
