    • No hate to MM, but I can’t stand it. It looks so unnatural and forced. My personal preference for anyone is natural-beauty. She had a ton of natural beauty, we just didn’t see it often. This strange walk was in no way natural imo.

  • It’s pretty impressive to me that Marilyn has appealed to every single generation after her since her incarnation. She was born the same year as my grandma , and every generation after up until this Gen Z , seems to be fascinated with her. @bellangoh9830@bellangoh9830 Жыл бұрын
    • They walked like that because it’s the ‘proper’ way to walk in those skirts. Like when you wear heels they tell you to walk heel to toe well when you wear a pencil skirt you walk with short quick steps. And if your trying to hurry then you need to add a bit of a roll to your hips or you risk accidentally ripping the side seem. Shorts really allowed for women to take longer more traditionally masculine strides. And later elastic leggings provided the illusion of modesty. Now it’s all just a trend.

    • Really? Very little muscle definition, looks as if she really didn’t exercise, and she had a significant amount of cosmetic surgery (primarily on her face). Her signature walk was achieved by cutting one heel shorter than the other, which must have caused her back pain, or certainly would have eventually. She suffered from several mental health problems, including depression, substance abuse (amphetamines and barbiturates), and possibly was bipolar. We can have sympathy for her and enjoy the work she left behind, without holding her up as an ideal worthy of emulation. And “the perfect height”? Well that’s whatever height one was born to be. Every woman can be beautiful in her own way.
