Lyrics:
I'm 15 for a moment
Caught in between 10 and 20
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
I'm 22 for a moment
And she feels better than ever
And we're on fire
Making our way back from Mars
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got a hundred years to live
I'm 33 for a moment
Still the man, but you see I'm a they
A kid on the way, babe.
A family on my mind

  • I was 45 when this came out. Little did I know the chilling accuracy of these words, "I'm 45 for a moment, the sea is high and I'm heading into a crisis." My crisis was breast cancer. I'm 63 for a moment and looking back with gratitude on these last 17 breast-cancer-free years. Each day, each breath is a gift.

You definitely received a miracle. I'll pray for you to have many more years since so many were taken from you. God has blessed you.

She was a woman of faith and wanted to see he grandchildren grow up, which she eventually experienced. Sadly, she left us behind last year. Please have your annual medical check-ups done, as she has failed to do so during the Pandemic.

  • If you can somehow make it through the song without crying, reading the comments will start the tears flowing. With every passing year, this song becomes richer, and deeper in meaning. I can't believe I'll be 60 next year. I lost my father last year, man that was hard. So many good people gone over the past twenty years. But at the same time, I'm blessed with two beautiful boys and maybe I'll have grandchildren in a few years...still so much to look forward to. Not really sure how many more 'moments' I'll get. I'll be happy with 40 more healthy ones. Time to meet my grandkids, time to deepen my friendships, time to accomplish a few more of my writing goals. And maybe time for Paris...somehow never found the time to go there.

  • I heard this song tonight played for a friend who was celebrating her 90th birthday. Just wanted to say that my wife and I were married at 18 and 17, and we're now 71 and 70, and still married to each other. We lost a daughter six years ago to breast cancer at age 41. Never take time for granted; it passes too quickly. Love the people in your life while you can. I would also add that our faith in Jesus has carried us through many storms of life. Blessings to you all.

My daughter carried your first child for a full nine months, only to have my sweet granddaughter's heart stop just before she could be delivered. Now 25 months later, the pain remains, but we ask each day for our Heavenly Father to keep us strong as we honor our granddaughter's memory each day. My daughter has since had a son, God bless him, and she is pregnant again, but memories are hard to erase. Each day of the pregnancy we put our hope and faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Your foundation is solid with your faith in Jesus and I wish God's blessings to you both.

  • Heard it in a store two days, and listened to it about 50 times since then. Lots of crying and thoughts of being 15, when my mom, dad, and grandma were still alive. I heard it On April 27th, which happened to be the day Mom went to Heaven 34 years ago, Now at 71, I still miss her like crazy. She only got to be a grandma for one year, but knew we were expecting our second child when the Lord called her. And we named our third child, our daughter after my Grandma and Mom, the two kindest, sweetest, and strongest ladies God ever made. I will continue playing this and cry each time. Young people, don't waste a minute, as this old timer wasted more than I care to remember. Enjoy each day the Good Lord gives you.

The early church proclaimed this, it is the real good news. The bible in its original language shows this. Look into the literal concordant versions for a very accurate translation. We are in eon 3 now. Eon 4 will be the millennial reign of Christ and eon 5 will be the new heavens and earth. At the end of eon 5 is the consummation when death is abolished and God is all in all.

  • I heard this on the way to the hospital when I was on my way to deliver my son a month before I turned 22. I gave birth to him on 07/20/04. Tomorrow he'll be celebrating his 18th birthday. Next month I'll be turning 40. This song brings back so many beautiful memories & moments for me. Thank you!🥰

    • @heatherpierce9123 just four years before your son’s birthday I had a son, Ryan born 7.20.2000 about 3 weeks early, his lungs not fully developed. Ryan knew my voice as he seemed to be very active every time I was around his mother. While he laid in ICU, I put my smallest finger in his little hand as he naturally grasped it, I told him I loved him. He was laying on his belly, turned his head and looked at me with his beautiful dark eyes. about 30 hours later, I decided to stay with his mother in her room. Before we even got to sleep, they called us and no parent should ever have to see someone doing CPR on an infant. They tried. They let us hold him for about 45 minutes before letting him go to holding room before the morgue picked him up for a later funeral. Yes July 20 has a significant meaning as my grandfather passed on that day to In 1986. Some may get 100 years some maybe just a few hours and none of us know what tomorrow holds and life can sure have unfair consequences, however I have the faith that I will see all that have passed before me. I to without would have been gone in December of 2019, except doctors blessed with technology are amazing at times with what they can do with your heart to keep you going. 🙏🏻

  • This song makes you think deeply about life. Where you are, where you're going, the person you were, and the person you're becoming.

  • For someone at the age of 28 who's been through quite a lot of shit, I've been bawling my eyes like a kid each time revisiting this masterpiece. Still beautiful like the first time I came across it.

    • I'm right there with you. I'm 28 as well. Lost my mom my dad and my brother. I had cancer last year. Surgery went well and have been cancer free last 5 months. Visiting this song reminds me that I'm a fighter and lived through the absolutely worse times of my life.

    • I am 37 now, and even before I was 25 I had experienced more hell and crap in then most people see in their life. Then now, seeing and living so much more.. life can be hard, but your mind, heart and dreams is what pushes you to reach for the stars... Life is long but short.. one day you will understand that, took me many years to learn that.

  • If I create a playlist for my funeral, this may be the final song...the way the piano ends with an unfinished chord feels a way of saying “I’m not with you, but I’m not done.” I’m 57. When I listen to it, I still get tears in my eyes.
