Polymer Clay Tutorial: Texturing Flower Petals

Hey guys, a quick and simple tutorial on how I texture flower petals, of which you will only need ONE key tool... a needle (in my case, a sewing needle) This way you can quickly churn out a large quantity of petals and adapt it to the flower you are making! :) Hope it was helpful, if you have any other requests, do let me know in the comments!

  • Wow two videos in one day. That’s fantastic although they do seem a bit similar to each other?! Therefore I’ll just use my other comment as well! Wow what a helpful little tutorial that links up so perfectly to your other flower videos. At the beginning you mention that we need three tools. I sadly do not have any hands so could you please also make a tutorial on how to do the same with your feet or tongue? Moreover, it is amazing that you have moved back to your clay creating conquests as you really do excel at making such miniature masterpieces. What a great video overall, I love seeing your KZhead career accelerate forward with each new video. You are really putting your petal on the metal!

  • Hey, such great way of giving insructions. May I know the brand of clay you are using. Is it air dry or the one that we have to bake.

  • I've been making flower petals, but as they are so thin mine break off after baking, and I baked for 60mins ?

    • Hi! Let your petals cool completely before moving them, they're very fragile when they're hot. The polymer clay brand you are using may affect the durability of the petals!

    • @Bubblefizz Most polymer clays bake at about 275F for 15 min per 1/4 inch thickness. Overbaking like you have will only discolor and increase its fragility. While you can still snap it if too rough, it should still have some give and flexibility. Try reading the directions of your clay.
