#foundationreviews, #loreal, #makeupforever, #foundation, #bestfoundation,
While watching your video and looking at comments it occurred to me that older women past menopause face a real foundation dilemma. Some of us have wrinkles, dry skin, uneven skin texture and discoloration. Dewy moisturizing foundations tend to emphasize texture and they may not provide needed coverage. Yet most foundations with great coverage tend to make skin look dryer and emphasize wrinkles. Maybe you can address this issue sometime to help us older women make the best foundation choices. Thank you.
❤🎉 Just fyi there are many mature women who have makeup channels on yt, some also have extensive experience and can be very helpful. 😊❤️
You are so right. Give the L'Oréal one a go. I have all of those problems & find it really good. Bonus not much smell either. Looks like skin & not foundation.
I found the regular L’Oréal Tru match in the pump bottle (not the Nude serum) gives me the best of both. Good satin coverage that can be built to medium full , lightweight, and blends on like a dream. There’s a good reason why it’s been around so long and liked by so many and good especially mid life thru mature skins.
@@kerrydyer7155 You are so right. I do use the L’Oréal True Skin and it is a great foundation for my type of skin.
Agreed! The tru match has been my holy grail since the early 2000s. I diverted briefly to cc cream, but I couldn't find a good match, color wise.
Whomever reads this, have a blessed day! Thank you Nikki for all the knowledge you pass along to your community. ❤
❤❤❤❤
I hope you have a blessed day too!
Have a blessed day as well!!
I hope you have a blessed day as well
I do so agree! Nikki is overwhelmingly the best MUA who shares her professional skills with all of us! This video was so FULL of who Nikki is…..the BEST.
L’Oréal does a better job than most drugstore brands colour matching and offering a range of colours. It’s still hard. A lot of higher end formulas are not much better. Thank you, Nikki. Great options and great application tips. 🌹
Yes because it's a Lancome Company.
Loreal is sp expensive where i am now it's bately worth it for me. 😢 especially when there's no testers. I'm usually great at finding my shade but in loreal I find there's a lot of pink. It's been a while since I tried one but everything i tried in the past was pink. I really want to try this serum one now lol
I wear Make Up Forever foundation shade 1N06, do you know what color shade of the Loreal serum foundation would match?
@@denise8791do they do sales often on drugstore like in the US or maybe coupons?
I use Loreal 2W and its not pink, its a little yellow , I stopped using the Estee lauder Double wear which looked drier on my skin. @@denise8791
Hey Nikki! Great uncut as usual. I’m wondering if you might be open to doing a once-a-month model video. Like one month you have someone with mature textured skin, another month someone with 30’s blemish-prone skin, etc. Just to give us a relatable, realistic expectation of what proper skin-prep and makeup can look like on everyday people. Yes, yes, your skin is TOO beautiful for many of us to relate to 😂 just a thought ❤
Yes, I like this idea a lot! Though of course people who model also have their own skin issues. I would also really like it if a professional makeup artist did your makeup occasionally, Nikki! Like maybe Lisa J or Alexandra Anele
Agreed she looks great on everything cuz her skin is stunning but I would love to see models with texture, wrinkles etc
Yes- please Nikki. We would love it, of you worked on a mature skin model and walked us through all of your tricks. And, it would be even better if the model came back 8-10 hours later to get back on camera again (wear test). Thank you for all that you do for us. ❤
If you want a pump for your Estee Lauder Double Wear, the MAC Studio Fix pump fits it perfectly.
Wow
It’s actually being discontinued tho… they are updating all the formulas at Mac & I do believe studio fix will finally have a pump now
Basic Amazon ones do too. I got a pack of gold ones that look sooo pretty with the bottle
Estee has a pump. My favorite foundation.
I bought pumps from Amazon that I used for my L’Oréal tinted serum , then cut the pipe part to make it shorter for estee lauder bottle
Yes please, this is the exact type of content I’ve subscribed for 🥳 Please continue to show us more options of “If you like this, try this” in other categories with drugstore/affordable options ❤
I agree. I love these videos. I love how Nikki explains the different nuances of each product.
❤❤❤ love a good “dupes video! ❤❤❤ L’Oréal owns both VB and Armani cosmetics all 3 products were probably researched and developed in the same lab. If a high end brand comes out with a new product I always wait to see if one of L’Oréal many drugs store companies comes out with the “dupe” .
Good to know!!
Didn't know they owned vb!
Same here. Lancôme and L’Oreal lipsticks even smell alike. I love the lipsticks from both. Lancôme discontinued my all time favorite lipstick Marilyn years ago. I still search L’Oreal hoping they make a dupe.
It's getting harder to classify some product as "drugstore/cheap" with a 20.00 dollars price tag for a foundation. Might as well wait for the sales and buy high-end
I started following you before Christmas, and now I can't wait to watch every single video you record! I'm 61 with dry, textured, mature skin and you ALWAYS include options for my skin type, what to try and what not to try. Foundation is the hardest thing for me to find at this point and your perspectives have not only saved me time, but saved me money and heartache! Thank you for helping me look my best self!❤
I would love a series where you do make up on models with different skin types and what products work for them! As much as I love your videos doing make up on yourself, your skin is very flawless and suits every kind of finish. Not everyone can tolerate each finish of foundation and it would be interesting to just see how you do other people’s make up too! ❤
Love this "Like this, Love that"!! Agree, should be a regular series!!
Thanks Nikki! Possible video idea: comparison of the whole L’Oreal foundation line.
Thanks so much for this information! I look to you for education on how to wear makeup these days. I'm about to turn 70 and I'm looking forward to your use of a mature model so we older women can learn some new tricks. I hope you'll use a model that doesn't have perfect skin so we can see how to deal with things like texture and wrinkles. You are so beautiful and you are a great teacher! Thank you for all you do.
I love this uncut style of your videos! It's hard to tell when things are transparent with editing of makeup videos and sponsorships. Not to mention your energy and time with speaking are very calming and informative. The makeup community needs you ❤
Best content and concept. Please consider for all products…primers, blushes, powders, eye liners, lip liners, etc. It would be an all in one place buyers guide.
Love double wear, used it on my wedding ❤ I looked it up “Debuted in 1997, Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup became an instant classic.” 27 years! 😮
I can’t believe after all this time a better foundation hasn’t been made. It has god tier status
Just the TITLE of this video has me intrigued! I think you should make this a regular!!
I use the L’Oréal everyday. Love it! I’m oily and as long as I touch up with powder at lunch time, it lasts all day for me.
I had never tried Charlotte Tilbury products because of their price point. And now, after all the hype and reviews in the Elf Halo, I tried it. And I just know that if I had had tried the CT version, I would have somehow reasoned to buy it. But I am so glad I tried the Elf Halo first and love it. Thank you, Nikki, and everyone else who tested this before me 😊
I love the L’Oréal nude tinted serum but dropped had to go - the Mac pump you can buy fit it perfectly!
the Loreal tinted serum has the same base formula as the Valentino, which is owned by Loreal. Amazing drugstore foundation tbh, and the shades run neutral leaning olive which makes them super flexible despite being a limited range.
I use the L’Oréal true match serum… I LOVE it!!! I feel like my skin looks even better the longer I wear it. It’s witchcraft in that bottle 😂😂😂
I remember years ago Loreal had a foundation called Lumi Magique that was so good and very similar to the True Match serum, I was so annoyed that it got discontinued
Nikki, Thank you for All that you do. As soon as I can afford, I am dying to get ur brushes. I’m 46 years old. I lost my daughter a couple of years ago and now empty nest -last child left home. I’m relearning who I am and learning self-care. I have been diagnosed with a rare serious spinal disease called Adhesive Arachnoiditis. I mention it because a) I have to depend on family and now suddenly after being so active in my life having to apply for disability. b) to raise awareness of this disease for women who have had any injuries, spinal surgeries, epidurals, injections. In saying all of that, I feel the need to try to practice some self-care. You and I have a similar skin tone and style. I so appreciate your knowledge and efforts to educate us on makeup, techniques and options. Idk if I’ve missed it, but could you please do a video on ur skincare routine and/or options. Personally, I have dry skin that is just starting to become mature leaning. I have been given a Groupon gift for a chemical peel, microdermabrasion, or other skincare treatment-anyone in the community who can offer a suggestion on which one would be best. In Nashville, Tn area. Love to all and Blessings to you, Mitch and yours, Nikki. Thank you again so much!!! ❤️✊🏽🌟🙏🏼💋
Best wishes to you. So hard ro deal with so many changes. Hope the self care helps.
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss and your diagnosis. I lost my youngest child going on 7 years ago and I have a whole mess of medical problems as well, including some spinal conditions. I'm 44 and have been on disability since I was 37. My daughter is an esthetician. If you'd like you can tell me your skin concerns and I'll ask her what she suggests.
@@tmhart43 Thank you, Love. 💕
@@kristinbagrier178 That’s so kind of you!! I’m so sorry to hear of your loss and spinal issues as well. Plz be careful with which treatments you allow. There’s no pain like losing a child. The shock and heartbreak is indescribable. Medical conditions to boot is unbearable. I send all my love to you. Contact me anytime. I have some hyperpigmentation. I have also had some slight “lagging” around nasolabial. Had quick weight gain from high steroids. I’ve lost most of it now but thinking fasting and juicing for abdominal distention still. I’ve always been a smaller person but my weight is from almost a Cushing’s syndrome. Skin is dull and dehydrated as well.
I’m also leaning in category for skin of color. Native American grandparents but have European as well so I err caution on certain treatments, just in case as I have been informed sometimes strong vitamin c, certain acids and/or treatments can make hyperpigmentation worse
I absolutely love the L'Oreal true match super blendable foundation (the one with the pump). I love it so much, and it doesn't feel like you have foundation on your skin (which is a must for me). ❤
Loved the video! I usually wear my high-end foundations for going out to events or church or going with friends and my drugstore foundations to places like the grocery store, doctor, or😮 shopping. Having alternatives that are less expensive are necessary in my book. I'm always looking for new drugstore foundations. This was perfect! Nikki, you have to try the Maybelline sky high primer with the E.L.F. Big Mood mascara! Gives dramatic lashes to my nonexistent short sparse lashes!
Nikki, you have gorgeous skin❤. Can you show the rest of us how to cover melasma and hyperpigmentation? Mine always shows up, even w concealer and foundation or it looks thick and pasty. I can’t figure it out! Help!!
That would be a great lesson. I have several that refuse to be covered up by my methods🤷♀️
The Loreal reformulated Foundation is the same just a little more dewy looking (in a good way obviously)
The original loreal foundation I'd reformulated?
I thought they just made a "dewy" version of this foundation?? I didn't realize they just reformulated. Thought they added the dewy version like how they have that pro matte and pro glow foundations.
@@denise8791 Oh okay I get what you are saying but I'm wondering ehich one is better the loreal foundation with the pump or the serum ,the Armani foundation in my opinion the way she explain it sound like haus lab foundation and also like how she explain the loreal serum foundation.
The problem with drugstore foundations is the shades. In the L’Oréal tru match there isn’t a shade close to my shade at all. I’m a light cool/neutral. Yet somehow there isn’t a shade.
Yes! I have this problem as well. I’m a light neutral undertone. The drugstore foundations are either too pink or too orange for me even if they say neutral. I used to buy multiple shades just to mix. I don’t do this anymore with high end foundations.
Same. I'm looking for a good foundation for special events and I just never have good experience with shade matching drugstore foundations. They either make me look grey or orange 😂 I'm looking to higher end foundations to be assisted in shade matching.
Same. Either too pink or too yellow. I love the infaillible wear wise, but color match for neutral skin? no chance. Now i know which high end to buy though XD
I find that there is no shade for me in Estes Lauder, I am a neutral and their shades are either too yellow or too pink
@@alexandragolovenko3097 thanks, than i will search for another brand. Which one would you suggest?
Not me bored or anything, just mixed all the drugstore foundations she mentioned together, and it turned out really nice.
That L’Oréal tinted serum foundation has me in a chokehold going on over 3 years I always keep coming back and I’m extremely oily in the summer. It’s so beautiful and buildable
I may be the minority, but I actually prefer the Elf Halo Glow over the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter. I was a 3.5 in CT and they did away with that shade, it is far too expensive to not have a perfect match. Also, the Elf is less glowy, more coverage --the lack of glow is really nice on my mature skin (60, Balanced). Thank you Nikki---you included some great alternatives in this video and you explained them perfectly. See ya soon.
same
The ELF is great on a “no makeup” day with a bit of tinted moisturizer or tinted SPF. It gives just the right amount of coverage.
I love my Charlotte Tilbury but I absolutely love the E.L.F.! I'm going to have to revisit, though, because I had no idea what it really was when I first got it. Now, I know so much more and want a great match.
I am re-watching all your “Nikki Tries Every Foundation Etc. At Sephora” series before the sale starts! I am going to be so prepared to buy smart! Thank you for the sacrifice of your poor abused cheek. ❤
Love this! My wages are not keeping up inflation, this is beyond perfect, thank you!!❤
Revlon Colorstay is great, affordable one for me. I have extremely oily skin. At 52 yrs old, it has great staying power. ❤
I also have very oily skin and am at a total loss…never really learned about makeup. I’m going to try Revlon. Can you recommend any eyeshadow/liner products that hold up to all the oil?
Can I jump in? I have tried and love the eyeshadow sticks from ELF, Bobby Brown, Laura Mercier, Beauty Pie, Merle Norman and have really found them all long tasting, extremely easy to use, and they do not crease on my oily and hooded lids. ELF was the only one that faded slightly near the end of a long day.
I ordered a pump from Amazon for the Loreal bottle. Had to trim the tube, but it works well
I LOVEEE LOVEEE LOVE LOVE THESE kinds of videos!!!!!! ESP bc MOST of us cant afford ALOT of higher end stuff, the ONLY time I can is when I get my taxes back LMAO SMH FOR REAL!!!!! SOOO this kind of video where u can see the high end AND the drugstore dupe side by side and how they look and work is REALLY good for US normal income ppl lol
Thank you Nikki for another very informative video! Estee Lauder's Double Wear Foundation came out in 1997😮 Greetings from Greece to all 🇬🇷
Yes!!!. THANK YOU!! I always need videos like these.
OMG more of such videos please! I'd love to find affordable options for other products too!
I love the Nyx Bare With Me Blur 😍 It's my go to when im lazy or in a rush - it always looks great! & i find i don't need concealer with it!
The elf and true match nude are absolutely in my top drugstore picks too! Great video!
Your video on makeup for beginners has been a game changer for me! Finally my everyday makeup looks good thanks to you!
Thank you for doing this for us poor people 😂 love to you Nikki ❤️
Hi Nikki, I really appreciate all your videos, I’m learning so much with you, thank you. Your skin is incredible! Could you please do a video of what products you use on your morning and night routine? 🙏
Everything looks good on Nikki's beautiful skin.
I'm so glad you included a blurring formula at 2 different price points. Maybelline seems to have discontinued a similar product (to the ELF Blur) that I loved because I do love that blurring effect for my large pores. Thanks for all these fabulous recommendations ✨️!
thank you for this ! 🖤
Thank you so helpful❤
Thank you so much for this ❤
This video was amazing! Thank you so much for sharing these foundation alternatives. BTW, your skin is flawless. Absolutely stunning!

It's very helpful for sure.Thank you❤
Your skin is amazing 💗💗
Thank you I needed this!
Never worn foundation a day in my life, but youre so good at explaining and showing that I watched this all. I know wear tests take forever, but I would be curious about the differences in wear. I'd be super interested in a similar video to this showing off brushes at the drugstore (or are brushes something you'd never suggest skimping on?).
I’m super stoked for this one!! 😍😍😍
Your comparisons are spot on. Thanks for sharing!❤
Love this type of video!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 thank you for these awesome comparisons Nikki!! 🙏🏼
Thank you, Nikki! You’re awesome ❤
I love the loreal serum more than the Maybelline for my dry skin ❤
I’ve had the L’Oréal Pro Matte in my kit for yearssss- it’s so perfect!! I added the elf Halo Glow last year to my kit and the mix of the two is 😚👌🏼

Hi Nikki, I’m just really glad I found your channel.😊
This was great❤
Thank you for this video ❤ you are so dedicated I love your channel!!
I have barely started this video but your eye and lip makeup is beautiful!!!
This is great ❤
So grateful for this select list of reliably excellent products. Thank you!
Always beautiful Nikki, I’m prefer the high end. There I said it😅. The drugstore foundations are always too orange or too pink even though it says neutral. As a teen, I had to mix several different bottles to get my shade. I’m able to get my perfect match in my high end foundations.
Me too. I prefer something high end for my face. Omg and my foundation lasts for a very long time. There’s no way I can finish a foundation bottle in a year. To me it’s an investment and I love to treat myself. You work hard and why not treat yourself ❤
I love this content, and love love love all your tips and detailed explanations on application. Thank you, Nikki! I look forward to more!!!
Thanks, Nikki. Love this Nikki Uncut. Have a wonderful day❤
I love love this!!! 💞 Thank You Niki SO much! You are the best! Kisses from Barcelona!
Really like the format of this video lesson ❤
I agree with your review of the L'Oreal foundation I use the same color 4.5 its beautiful.
Thank you Nikki ❤ this was really great🎉🎉
Thank you for sharing!!! This video is always helpful. Always have a high-end for weekends and and drugstore for every day. Already use the Loreal Infallible and luv it!! I'm an Estee & Born this way gal.
Thank you so much, Nikki! This is SO HELPFUL!
Thanks Nikki
I love your foundation vid’s! All right all right, I love all your show and tell’s 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Also, I’m sure you must keep the high end in your pro kit for business reasons. People expect expensive when they are paying for your time.
Girrrlll!! I can’t get enough of your videos, they’re so thorough and calming to watch! You have mad talent!! 🌸 🌸
The eyeshadow ❤❤❤❤❤
This was so helpful! Thank you for all the great information! Love watching you!😄💟🖒

Shocked of each dupe or alternative drug store .. they are identical and got the same purpose ! Thanks for making this video xoxo
Very interesting video. Honestly your skin looks fantastic on all of these foundations❤
