Every year, 68 of the best college basketball teams in the country come together to contest the NCAA Tournament. It's one of the most exciting events in sports, but how good of a tournament is March Madness, actually? (spoiler: it's pretty great)

I think the playoffs of the Jupiler Pro League(football in Belgium) has balanced the excitement with the right winner perfectly. The best teams go into playoffs and the worst(in another playoff) , points scored during the season are split and everybody plays everybody twice. It gives the best during the season the best chance but gives the other a chance to. Also there last playoff day was phenomenal with a banger from Alderweireld to win Antwerp the league.
I disagree that system is an insult to the normal season winners
I love your outros man
Nothing beats Japan's koshien high school baseball tournament when in comes to K.O. style tournaments in my eyes. A 100+ year old history, the high schools participating first have to duke it out against teams in their prefecture and only 1 (2max for some) team per prefecture makes it to the big nationally televised tournament where the winners of each prefectures compete in another national-level single elimination tournament. The atmosphere in the country is insane, it's like having the olympic games every year, everyone's rooting for their prefecture's representative. 10s of thousands come to watch high school players' blood sweat and tears to be the best of the best. There's legendary players that are household names in Japan even if they never turned pro or didn't have a successful career in the sport afterwards. They will always be remembered.
I guess what would make the NCAA tournament more "madness"; is to select the 68 teams and then draw from a bingo ball bin to see who plays who. Set up the bracket based on little balls that "could be mini basket balls" drawn from a bin. Like world cup selection.
Best videos on KZhead!
