Very good job, the project looks really well realized. As I also build some cockpit for my VR use (but far from your level), I'm wondering why you go that deep into details you won't see/feel in VR (labels printed, lights, etc...)? And how do you "recognize" knobs while being in VR since by touching them? I would have guessed you have imagined some modifications to ease VR use? Thanks for your answers, and again, very good project 👍

Thank you for your comment. That's a valid point. Currently, I don't have plans to simplify installation for VR, but hopefully muscle memory will suffice. Regarding your VR question, I've actually considered adding that level of detail. While it may not be necessary for VR, when I remove the VR goggles, I want to see all the details as realistically as possible. It will be also an eyecatcher and I like things that work.

Starting up a project myself. I am watching for the AR pass through feature on VR headsets to improve. This should support the graphics and tactile needs of a flight Sim. Pimax claims they have an update coming. Varjo has it on their high end units. And there is a new headset being developed in one of the EU countries (forgot which one...apologies) that looks very nice. @mikken7403 where did you get your design specs/models for the panel sizes and layout? Looking really nice! Watching intently.

There are also VR headsets that switch to a camera mode for the cockpit, like the XTAL-3. And it will probably show up on other products pretty soon.
