Hello and welcome back to the channel! Today I have a new video showing how I clean my daily driven VW Transporter.
Many people often ask on Instagram and in the comments on here, have often asked, how is the van always so clean ? This video shows what I do to keep a showroom look about my Van.
I certainly don't claim to be a professional in this department!!! but I do take pride in keeping my van clean... they always say 'you can judge a person by the way they keep their vehicle'😂
If you can share further knowledge on detailing or your experience with good product please share this in the comments on this video so others can learn from your experience🙌
Thank you for watching! Don't forget to Like and share the video and let me know in the comments if the video has been any help to you?
Steve Field.

  • Love your content Steve. I’m ‘one of those’ who does enjoy a proper detailing session (and I do wash the roof, every time). Tips, for what it’s worth. 1. Get yourself a proper snow foam cannon (Autobrite Direct, no affiliation - that Karcher one you’re using is bobbins), and use a good snow foam (Bilt Hamber, no affiliation). Let the snow foam dwell for a few mins then rinse it off before you contact wash. This will 80% clean the van before you put mitt to paint (preventing swirls). 2. Do the wheels first. Yours are like mine, fiddly and a pain in the ‘arris - get that job done and then enjoy the rest of the process. 3. I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to this stuff, but use a 3 bucket method - Wash, Rinse and Wheels buckets, with grit guards in each. Wash is for suds, Rinse is to clean your mitt off before you go back into the wash bucket and Wheels is for, well, no need to explain that one, but this will be your muckiest bucket at the end of every wash. Using this method you should end up with your Wash bucket being pretty much pristine when you empty it down the drain. I could go on, but I’ll end up boring people. Love cleaning m’van, Buddhist Zen time. Keep up the good work pal. Subscribed and watched all your content.

  • If I were you Steve I would allow the pre-wash to dwell and rinse this off with the pressure wash before making contact and using the wash mit. That way you're removing as much grime and grit off the van first before making contact, and reducing the risk of swirls and hazing

    • 🙌Cheers Paul. I really appreciate the tips. Couple of people have said that that I need to foam pause then rinse but then still hand wash. I did think at one point the foam was intended to be a contact free wash when it first came on the scene. Like yourself I dont let the van go long between washes so there’s not usually to much build up. Would love to try out some juicy stuff 👌👌

  • Nice one Steve, I rate that Meguiars wash and wax too. Snow foam is vital in my opinion, pressure wash it off once it’s had time to dwell and it takes most dirt off before you even touch the van. Bilt Hamber Auto Foam is good stuff. I also recommend a good snow foam lance like Autobrites you can coat the van within two passes as it has a much wider spray beam than the Karcher ones. Keep doing what you do, always great content.

  • Hi Steve I'm a fellow Vdubber and a valetor, a few tips for you. Jet wash the whole van first to get rid of loose dirt, snowfoam then leave to dwell then Jetwash off this gets rid of any last bits of dirt before you even touch the van with a wash mit. This prevents anything scratching the van.

  • another great video...just my 2p worth after being a valeter for years for anyone that cares lol jetwash the whole van with just water first, helps remove the loose crud, then snow foam, the only one i ever use that does anything is bilt hamber (videos of it tested against others on youtube) then jet wash the foam off otherwise you can contimate and drag dirt all over your panels causing micro swirls if you wash straight away, also in daylight never let foam sit for more than 5 mins as it can bake on hence the fresh water jet wash first to cool the panels clean bucket for wheels to then be done, then 2 clean buckets for van although the 2 bucket method has been contested many times lol noddle mitts won the best wash mitt last year at 2.99 from tesco decent shampoo such as gold class meguiars or 1900:1 from carchem autowheels from bilt hamber or kkd is the best wheel cleaner ive used then final jetwash with clean water towel dry all over then if you wanna polish, wax or ceramic theres tonnes of videos on youtube explaining that if mines a maintence wash then i use a product called fse koch chemie which breaks down the calcium in water spots with a clean micro fibre great place for supplies is clean your ride, he has some gorgoeus stuff there and can buy in test bottles before you buy a big bottle :)......and never wash or dry in circles, always straight lines...minimises any swirling ;)
