@BMDPortraits Shares another realistic portrait drawing tutorial for beginners using Graphite Pencil. This drawing tutorial focuses on a simple yet effective new way of pencil shading that shows the importance of shadow values and contrasts for a more three dimensional, realistic portrait drawing. Beginners in pencil portraiture all over the world, not just the Philippines should be reached by this drawing tutorial, to help them be better in terms of pencil shading. Although, I am from the Philippines, I need to reach more and more beginner artists around the world and that is the reason why I try my best to speak English and not Filipino language to communicate my Art to many nationalities. I Think my fellow Pinoy, Filipino artists and subscribers shall understand the need to speak in English. My reference photo is Filipino Actress Ms. Kathryn Bernardo.

    • Are you an artist? I tried to draw but my white charcoal doesn't creates white color, eraser doesn't helps neither, and black charcoal doesn't creates different shadows.. what is happening? do I need a special kind of paper that I don't know about? charcoal paper doesn't helps, mixed media paper doesn't helps either.

    • This is a personal study, lots of artists do geometric sketching but not as intense, I figure if I could do it up to the shading process... and it seems to work.
